Background: Reia attended a private school in Tokyo for a few years before getting kicked out for lack of attendance. She tended to miss class moreoften than show up. During her 'free' time, she eventually wound up in a gang, though only so they could have her name associated with them. The rare times she did show up to class happened during gym and a few other martial electives, all of which she exceled in.

She went through a traumatic ordeal halfway through her attendance at her last school. The girl she happened to be in love with at the time was kidnapped by a gang rival to her own. They murdered her shortly after Red gave in to their demands. Their own execution was very brutal.

Personality: Red likes to fight first and not ask questions later. If someone or something threatens her, a good beating normally follows. She has little regard for others, though there are the occasional few who make their way close to her.

Hmmm.... Good point... Perhaps she keeps making her own after having them taken away by one of the instructors, after the flight?

They'd be taken afterward, since there's a no-weapons clause at the school. She can try though.

However, I can't think of any tools avalable that'd let you make it.

Right... Hmm... Well... Perhaps some monsters would like to take advantage of her constant drive to make a bokken. offers to help, detentions for trying to make one, things like that, then of course doing what they do best. ^^ So she only makes one every once in a while, even though she's trying all the time and even when she succeeds she fails by carrying it and having it taken away almost instantaneously. Does that work?

Basically a lack of pattern recognization? I can get behind that.

Though Flare's "spear" is nothing more then a reinforced cardboard tube covered in ducttape...and by reinforced, I mean there's a metal pipe in it.
