Not new to the board, just a returning veteran after a long hiatus. Older members may remember my old avatars: Xel, Tako or Fenris. I have a couple new faces now. Hope to get back into the swing of things that I used to enjoy here.

Jamie Roland
Age: 18
Height: 5'10"
Measurements: 34-23-32
Eye/Hair/Skin Color: Dark Brown/Black/Dark Tan
"Dirty lil secret": Tattoo of a tiny heart engulfed in flame, located just above the left side of the butt.

At just 16 years of age, headstrong Jamie took a job at her town's local print shop in order to fund her expensive taste in clothes and entertainment. Every weekend, her and her friends would hit the malls by day, and every hot club scene by night. With her tall, skinny frame and gorgeous looks (thanks to a 1/4 black, 1/4 Japanese, 1/2 French heritage), Jamie could get boys to notice her without hitting the dance floor. Still, she went to the clubs for the drinks and the dancing, not for the men. Just like she went to school for education and socializing, not for jocks. Just like she worked at the print shop for experience and spending cash, not for the cute boy who shared her shift with her...well, maybe he was a small exception.

Despite the girl's energized lifestyle, she had a level head on her shoulders. She never got drunk (not after the first time she experienced what that was like, at least), saved a tiny amount of each monthly paycheck, knew what she wanted to do with herself after high school and always did her best to stay above the drama in her life. Her life seemed pretty on-track until her high school graduation. Jamie's parents pretty much freaked out once their daughter was no longer weighed down by the public school system.

Now eighteen, and no longer restrained by the constraints of youth, the girl's parents felt that Jamie needed to continue to be kept in check. When Jamie approached her parents with her plan to attend community college, they flatly refused. Instead, they insisted upon a private boarding school to continue her education. Jamie's paranoid mother had never approved of her daughter's "wild habits." She herself had been raised in a boarding school environment, and felt it was just what Jamie needed to fully mature into a refined young woman.

The fact that Jamie wanted to pursue a career in the arts also undoubtedly had an unspoken effect on her father's acceptance of sending her away to a boarding academy. Jamie's father worked as a medical clerk, and her mother was a full-time nurse. Neither of the girl's parents believed a career in any of the art fields to be reliably sound. They figured that if Jamie was still headstrong about pursuing the arts after "finding out what other interests, with more potential, might be open to you," then they would allow her to run off to community college. However, in order to do that, she would first have to make her way through her education at Shokushu.

Ah, welcome back! I remember you from the old boards, though I would probably be more recognizable as Naoko :D Seems we've had a resurgence of old blood lately.

Great character as usual - watch out though, the spam filter caught her Dad's occuation. Unless he's a spam salesman I guess.

Hey, I remember you. Thanks for catching that spam typo; I'm not used to that sort of feature, heheh. I have to admit, there was a moment where I considered just leaving her dad as a spam salesman. Man, that'd be an easy job; who doesn't love spam!?

Thank you for the greeting. I hope to catch a thread with you sometime soon!

*Nods to Dendrite* Thanks, I think. I dunno if I should feel good about my veteranship or if I should start shopping for walking canes, haha.

Thank you for the welcome, Airi; I hope to see you around the roleplay areas sometime.
