Background: Sincia has been living on Oahu of the Hawaiian Islands for all of her life. She's been addicted to swimming and surfing ever since she stepped foot in the water when she was 3. Her father works as a lifeguard and her mom is a manager of a local resort near Laie, or the North Shore. Sincia has won lots of surfing awards in her lifetime. She is deeply tied to her family and was sad to leave them to attend Shokushu.
One day, when she was surfing, she was attacked by a mutated shark with squid-like tentacles. From that point on she has been afraid of sharks, but still loves the water
