Background: Growing up in a small village on an island so tiny that most people would never know existed Risa spent most of her time outside enjoying the beauty of nature. Her love of that beauty was cause for some worry to the small village as she sometimes spent days at a time in the forest covering most of the island and never said a word as to when she was going to come back. On one of these trips she was followed by one of her fellow villagers, who swore every day afterward that Risa was talking to the plants and it actually moved towards her like it was listening! One day, as she looked at towards the ocean she saw a large ship heading towards her village. Deciding to head back she saw that the newcomers had gone to her house. As she went in she saw a well dressed woman talking with her parents. Turning towards her, the woman and her parents turned to her, explaining that the woman was a representative of the school Shokushu and they were willing to provide her a full scholarship to go to their school. Her parents said that she should take the offer, as it would be her one opportunity for a higher education. Having no arguments to that, and thinking that it would be a good opportunity to see more of the world she decided to go, packing up her stuff and leaving her small island with the representative.

Personality: Risa is a wandering soul, one easily distracted by the beauty of nature and one who tends to wander off at a moments notice, but if someone gets her attention long enough to strike up a conversation you would be hard pressed to get her to stop talking.
