Background: Her parents split up when Elise was very young. In her life, she wasn't afraid to use her good looks to get what she wanted. Her mother was always hard on her for her grades. So, as early as middle school, she began flirting with her male teachers for good grades; when she brought in her homework for extra help, she leaned in close, showing off her (for her age) well endowed chest as they looked over her work. And it worked--that semester, to her mother's delight, her grades took a turn for the better.

As for the rumours that monsters exist on the island, I haven't seen any evidence. Please, let's not spread rumours without proof.
