Background: Iruma is the last daughter of an ancient clan, tracing their origins back to the time of Oda Nobunaga's attempts to unify Japan. They were the Iga Ninjas and although they were defeated by Oda Nobunaga in 1581, he had ordered a cease-fire and allowed some of the remaining warriors to escape. Her ancestors were among those people.
The teachings of the old ways passed down through the generations eventually falling to her grandfather, who was the one who trained her. She lived quite the normal life otherwise, doing well in her normal schooling and known as quite the popular young lady although there were rumors that she had what some would call "sticky fingers". Her life had given her a reason to approximate somewhat of a dual persona, having one face as a good girl that she showed the public and one that few ever saw that represented who she really was.
But as the years passed and college loomed, her prospects were limited as her family couldn't afford any good schools. Luckily,... or so she thought, one day when she returned home she found a recruiter from some university called Shokushu sitting with her parents. Her parents then explained what the recruiter had told them saying that the school was willing to offer her a full scholarship if she was willing to leave with the next flight. Having no real options other than to accept she agreed, packing her stuff and riding with the recruiter to the airport.
Personality: Iruma is in all ways a good girl, at least that is what she shows those who know her. When on her own she is quite the troublemaker, getting into fights and using her training as a ninja for theivery, and loving every minute of it.
