Anagopt never worried about the clause in her trust fund that said her guardians could send her to college. She just figured she'd party for four years or so, until she turned 25 and could get her money without them. The clause didn't say Anagopt had to graduate.
She never expected that college to be an all-girls college on an island halfway around the world (and, unfortunately for the innocent ingenue [a sarcastic term to be sure], actually on another planet entirely). Anagopt's guardians sent her to the worst possible place: no malls, no nightclubs, no boys! An unexpected bonus for her guardians, as well as the school, is that when Shokushu sells Anagopt, she apparently will have abandoned her inheritance. Her guardians, the new heirs, will have little incentive to ask questions.
Her guardians are trying to drive a wedge between Anagopt and her many "friends". Her guardians have continued to finance the parties and habits of those friends to prevent them from missing their gravy train. In fact, it's been more fun since Anagopt left as they no longer have to put up with her frequent mood swings and controlling nature.

Ana was born to Dutch immigrants and business tycoons. Her parents died in auto accident 3 days after her 10th birthday. In actual fact, it was an accident. Her guardians are merely trying their best to uphold the wishes of their departed, dear friends and raise Anagopt as best they can. They've done all that they can. But after 8+ years of Anagopt's anger and nonsense, they're ready to give up on her. They honestly think that if Anagopt gets away from it all, she'll mature into a decent young woman, even if it means that she'll hate them forever. If this doesn't work, her guardians will look forward to the day she turns 25 and is finally out of their hair. They have come to accept that, most likely, she will always hate them.

A woman who runs a web site similar to the one described inspired me to create Anagopt. The quote is a modified version of what she has on that site.
I wanted to create a wholly unsympathetic character. Hopefully I have accomplished that.
HEAD GIRLS
Before long, Anagopt will want to become a Head Girl as a Freshman. Those preventing her from doing so will end up on her LIST. She will try to make the lives of any and all Head Girls miserable until Anagopt has achieved her goal of becoming one. (She only desires the power. She would try to get the other Head Girls to all the work while Anagopt enjoys bossing people around.) She has no desire to become a Prefect, aka a Head Girl's bitch. Though she will do anything to become a Head Girl.
Though conniving, Anagopt is not particularly clever. While the general student body might not recognize her efforts, Head Girls, Prefects, and the Administration will easily identify Anagopt as the source of whatever trouble she causes.
