I've submitted a monster, now it's time for a damsel ;] Name: Lana Risque Gender: Female Age: 19 Place of Birth: Russia Nationality: Russian Hair Color: Chestnut Eye Color: Light brown Ethnicity: Half Russian (mother), half English (father) Skin Tone: Pale Pubic Hair: Shaved Distinguishing features: High cheekbones, and a long thin nose. Height: 5 ' 6 Body shape: Hourglass. Lana is proud of her large bust size, and always dresses to emphasize them. Background: Born into a middle-class family, Lana spent the years up to the age of 11 being home-schooled, due to her family constantly having to move because of her father's job. Eventually, he gained a permanent placement, and they settled down in Moscow. Immediately taking to the place, and the fact that she could now go to a school and mix with people her own age, Lana's past lack of friends caused her to become almost aggressive in friendship-making. Thus, as the years went on, she became a hardcore partier. Somehow Lana managed to remain a virgin throughout. Her first signs of an 'ability', aka magic, reared its head a few days after her 18th birthday, when she slipped into a trance at her woodcarving class. The teacher became concerned, alerting Lana's parents, who took her to the local doctor. She was diagnosed with epilepsy and sent home. Unfortunately, the trances became more and more frequent, and although Lana did her best to hide them, occasionally one of her parents would enter the room whilst she was under one. Luckily, she discovered that smoke had an almost 'focusing effect' on her, around the time she was prescribed yet more drugs. Eventually trances only appeared with incense/candles. There was the odd occasion when it would happen anyway, but they were greatly reduced - of course, her parents put it down to the new drugs, which Lana tossed down the toilet anyway. A trance resulting in a crude, sharp-edged wheel being carved signified the first, (and incredibly uncommon) of her vague future-carvings, (rather than memory/emotion induced ones). Three weeks later, her mother was run over by a car. Pronounced dead at scene. Devastated, Lana took a month off school, gradually learning how to forget and hide her emotions towards others, letting her fiery personality come over instead. Though it was impossible for her to forget - the upsetting memory induced trance-carved figures of her mother - Lana got on with her life. She regrets that her mother is dead, but has moved on since. The carvings of her are just a "side-effect". Unfortunately, her father couldn't cope with both work, the school run and looking after Lana, so after searching around for boarding schools, he found Shokushu High School, to which he sent Lana. Psychological Profile & Personality: Unstable at best, she has recently overcome the trauma caused by both her mother's death and being moved to Shokushu High School, away from all her friends. She puts up a fight on the surface, but behind her shields, she's still quite a fragile person. Lana hides her inner emotions away, and prefers to lose herself in daily routine. Despite her current situation, she is optimistic about the future (for now), and her fiery personality and strong opinions mean that she has forced herself into quite a few circles of friends, regardless of whether she was invited in the first place. 'The best defence is a good offence' is her motto when it comes to friendships, after all. She is a bit uneasy about the school though, (and for good reason!) Virgin: Yes Piercing or Tattoos: Yes. Lana has a ring in the top of her left ear, and an exquisite cherry blossom tree tattoo, that starts from her right hipbone and finishes just below her right breast. She saved up for an entire year for the tattoo, and has never told anyone just how much it really cost her! Language: She learned English from an early age, due to her father speaking it at home. After her mother passed away and she was sent to Shokushu High School, (so that her father could continue going to meetings and earning money), she stopped speaking Russian, due to it reminding her of the life and family she had in Russia, and because English is far more useful to her now that she's boarding at Shokushu. Likes: Gossip, cocktails, incense/candles, scalding hot baths/showers, and for some reason, carving. Dislikes: She hates the outdoors for some reason, and still resents all the walks her parents used to drag her out on! Activities: She loves to carve wood and bone (antler, for example). Magic: Lana sometimes goes into a trance whilst carving wood/bone. This is usually due to strong emotions caused by past memories, whether they are upsetting, rage-filled, lustful or simply happy. Smoke, particularly that from incense, can help bring these trances on more frequently, and so Lana keeps a supply of candles and incense in her room at all times. Due to the recent death of her mother, there are already several figurines lying around her bedroom. The carvings are typically quite small. Occasionally, a trance may cause Lana to carve an omen of the future, usually when she is halfway through another carving already. However - these are incredibly vague. An example would be a crude wheel she once carved, three weeks before her mother was run over. Tattoo - Similar to this, but larger and with more branches, plus it goes up to beneath her right breast. |
