Whisperer/Spectre/Vorgamnon here. I'm a long time (if sporadic) monster player, so I thought I'd try out the other side for a change. In the interest of truth in advertising, I feel I should confirm the player is male, though obviously the character is not.

Edit (10/31/12): Adjusted genetic disorder slightly.

Edit (10/25/14): Added Shokushu history section; Advanced one year.

Name: Cynthia Melody Williams.

Gender: Female.

Age: 19.

Place of Birth: Portland, Oregon, United States of America.

Nationality: American.

Hair Color: Light Pink.

Eye Color: Crystal Blue.

Ethnicity: Caucasian.

Skin Tone: Fair, pale.

Pubic Hair: Light Pink 'peach fuzz.'

Distinguishing features: Very long pink hair (mid thigh or longer), bright crystal blue eyes, abnormally fair complexion.

Height: 5ft. 8in.

Weight: 138lbs.

Bust: 36in.

Waist: 24in.

Hips: 36in.

Psychological Profile: Cynthia shows an unusual resilience in that she remains innocent and naive no matter what horrible things happen to her. She does not forget these things, nor does she really repress them; they just seem to roll off of her like water. In seeming contradiction to this is her social anxiety disorder which likely arises more from worries about what may happen rather than what has happened. She is quite intelligent, but lacks direction; her varied interests make it difficult for her to focus on any one pursuit.

Personality: Generally quiet and shy, Cynthia has difficulty relating to people she does not know. She is also easily embarrassed. Despite all that, she can be quite spontaneous and zany with those she knows well. She is very conscientious and almost obsessive about following rules, which can cause her great distress when those rules require her to do something that she finds embarrassing (such as giving a speech before class).

Virgin: Yes, as of time of admittance. Aegir made short work of that.

Piercing or Tattoos: None.

Language: English; smattering of Japanese (though the player knows almost none).

Likes: Anime (even hentai, though she wouldn't admit it), Video games, Fan Dancing, Math, Science, Literature, Writing, Computers, Role-playing, Philosophy, among others.

Activities: Practicing Fan Dancing (alone or with good friends - the idea of performing publicly is very frightening), Writing (mostly poetry), Reading, Playing Video games (she'll miss this at campus), Role-playing (gaming, not sexual - so far).

Background: Cynthia was born with a very rare (and fictional) genetic disorder that produces her unusual coloring. Similar to amelanism, her body produces less pigment than normal; however, what she does produce is not melanin. This compound (which has some long chemical name), in addition to producing strange coloration, retards the growth of body hair. The only hair she has other than on her head is her pubic hair; and that is sparse, thin and soft. The abnormal pigment also seems to accelerate some nervous signals, making her unusually sensitive to some sensations.

Though the disorder was never life-threatening, her parents spared no expense trying to cure her of it. They moved around a lot, going from clinic to hospital to university, searching for someone with the necessary expertise and resources. Growing up this way, Cynthia just thought of it as 'normal.' Had she been more assertive, she might have tried to talk her parents out of it. After all, she knew she was different, but she never really thought anything was wrong with her. Still, it seemed important to her parents and that was enough for her.

Despite her abnormal coloring and the constant moving, Cynthia had a relatively happy homelife. Her parents were quite loving and generally supportive despite their obsession. She was an only child and never stayed in one place long enough to make good friends, but that didn't seem to bother her too much - though the latter was probably a major contributor to her social anxiety. It wasn't until the latter half of high school that things changed considerably.

Around then, her parents' quest to cure her took them overseas to Japan, where, coincidentally, they drew the attention of a Shokushu recruiting firm. They offered Cynthia a place at the college when she graduated, as well as promising to help with the continued search for a cure. Already deeply in debt from the search, her parents gratefully agreed. Cynthia, being a dutiful daughter did not complain, besides who says no to a 'free' college education? Thus it was that the Williams family settled down in Japan while Cynthia finished high school. Though she was constantly struggling with the language and social anxiety, she managed to make a few friends and even joined a small role-playing group. Early on, she developed a fascination for fan dancing - though, ironically, it was the Chinese form that attracted her most with its flowing silk fans and graceful sweeping maneuvers. It was the first (and likely the last) time Cynthia's life was truly grand.

Then, all too soon it was over. With a tremendous swirl of conflicting emotions and may teary good-byes, Cynthia boarded the plane for the long trip to Shokushu campus . . .

Shokushu history: Shorly after her arrival, Cynthia was almost 'raped' by an illusionary troll conjured by Aegir. He 'saved' her though, only to demand her virginity for himself. Despite initial fear and disgust, Cynthia complied with the monster, quickly submitting to his desires and even calling him Master. Afterward, despite the horror of the encounter, her life continued as normal.

The rest of her first year was devoid of monster encounters, though she spent much time in the Labs. She doesn't remember anything untoward happening there, but then she doesn't remember much about those sessions at all. Perhaps some flashbacks will give her a different perspective.

Though she is now a sophomore, Cynthia still hasn't made any friends and barely any acqaintances. She has devoted herself to her studies and the Lab testing, trying to shake her longing for home.

Full image of her avatar. Strangely Cynthia seems to have been shackled and whipped. I wonder what she could have done to deserve that?

Hmm . . . seems to be a theme here (not intentional, these were just the best images I could find).

Ah! Something more 'normal.' Fond memories of her time in Japan, though one wonders what she is listening to or thinking about that makes her cheeks so red . . .

Cynthia practicing fan dancing - almost certainly alone in a secluded place.

Welcome to the island, well sort of LOL, I won't mind bumping into her either. What sort of role playing? Was LARP part of it?

Thanks for the 'welcome' Aegir. Perhaps we can set something up after a few days. I want to allow time to make sure she is accepted. I don't anticipate any problems, but . . .

Oh, and the role-playing was just your basic table-top style like D&D and such. LARP is a bit too much like performing for Cynthia.

I'n sure there will be no problems though I was just considering ideas as far as LARP had been concerned but genearally come up with ideas easy enough.

The first part of the "Disorder" is actually a real thing.

Thanks for the welcome, Momo (or should I call you Anne?). I'm a little nervous about writing from a female perspective, but I'm going to give it a try!

Madison: Thanks for the info. Don't know if it was your intention, but I revised the 'disorder' a bit to maintain the original feel and maybe tie things together a bit more.

Thanks for the welcome Alynia. And fun is the plan (for me at least . . . don't know how much Cynthia will enjoy herself . . . ;))

Most of a week with no complaints (even Madison's comment seems more informative than critical), so I guess I can assume she's been accepted. :D
