Exhausting hadn't covered it all. Etolie was nearly through her first week as Prefect and that was eye opening in itself. She recalled the very night she had to pack up her dorm after the intense aftermath brought on by that doll. A tie she had severed once she had been able to.

Packing was difficult. Tired and sore muscles protested with each movement she took. Fortunately she had managed to get a hold of Amy and had her accomplish most of it for her. There were things she had to see for herself. Far too important to leave in the hands of the ditsy girl. Securing her prized locket and the plethora of chemistry equipment she had. Most had remained packed given that her dorm lacked the space to display it all. Besides the school had their own labs and the necessary space for larger experiments.

Still there were a few side projects best not done in a public setting so she had unpacked some of the most needed things like her microscope, slides and scales. Her chemicals were “misplaced” but she had no need for the simple things. She had been over packed and many of her goods had either been lost or deemed as contraband.

Now though she had the space to unpack. She marveled in all the excess space. Best of all she didn't have to share with anyone.

All but her chemistry supplies, books and jewelry she had her stooges unpack for her. Of course in typical fashion she had to instruct them in rearranging things to her liking. She just didn't have the time to waste on such things.

With status came responsibility. Etolie through herself into her work. She had never had to work a day in her life and now this was a new experience. At first she struggled, trying to adapt and learn on the fly. Some of the simplest things remained alien to her. But Etolie was smart to work things out in most cases. Baffled at how they worked. A few times she had to use the campus' intraweb to learn something that most took for granted. She was hardly around the servants when they cleaned. Most of what she saw was in movies and those she rarely watched. Her interests remained elsewhere and most programs bored her to no end.

The first few days were the hardest. Remaining presentable, cleaning, assisting in setting up the labs and ensuring classes were kept stocked with needed supplies. More than a few times she felt the eyes of professors on her. Making her lean over to collect something off the floor so her cleavage was on display. One professor even had her erase black boards. She could swear that he deliberately wrote that high up to force her up on her tippy toes. Even as a Prefect the school uniforms were small.

Still they only looked and she didn't mind the attention. She was even beginning to think, erroneously of course, that Prefects were off limits. She hadn't come across anything unusual. Unless one altered her memory of the event and she had not even know that such creatures existed. So it was mere coincidence that she had been left alone thus far.

Long hours of work followed by hours of study to keep her grades up had been a little draining at first. As Etolie figured out how things operated and learned better techniques in performing her duties she managed to save some time. Still, she had little time to hang out with her old click. She wasn't lonely though. She never was. The swell of power felt good and pushed such trivial social activities to the side.

She had even passed on relevant information to other Prefects to were some of the party sights were. She couldn't really direct them to anyone supplying contraband. She had never bothered learning names and pretty much sent one of her stooges to get this or that. Never asking where they got it from. Such knowledge held little interest for her and now that everyone knew she was a Prefect asking someone to fetch some contraband for her would be downright suspicious under the best circumstance.

Maybe if she thought to get names of suppliers before she became a Prefect. Oh, well, she hadn't been thinking at the time. She was rather distracted …

She didn't discipline rule violators herself but could issue demerits. Etolie had spent some time rereading the student handbook and determining what was better handled as a warning and what required a demerit or two. Most of the time people scattered outside of class or public situations like the cafeteria. Even the old click stayed clear for the most part but at least they didn't run off or slink away. But in normal fashion she only sought them out when she had something for them to do. They knew better than to ask her for anything either before she became a Prefect or now. She wasn't the one to do favors.

After the initial week Etolie was contacted to report in with Vera. She assumed it was for a progress report. Her grades remained up, a contributing factor for her initial fatigue. She had to second guess her performance so far. Had she done something wrong? Didn't do enough? She wasn't so sure she was missing anything but of course couldn't be certain.

After a once over to ensure her appearance wasn't in disarray Etolie set out for Vera's tower. Announcing herself with a knock before entering. Though the door was usually opened it was done more to get Vera's attention from the work she was doing.

She would enter and have a seat but wait until Vera was ready and had addressed her Once she wrapped up what she was doing. Of course Vera wasn't at that desk all the time and the knock served as an announcement that someone was here.

The benefits of becoming a Prefect were apparent upon arriving at Etolie's assigned mini-suite. It was much bigger than a normal dorm room and even came with a balcony. The bathroom had both a bathtub and a separate shower. There was a king-sized bed, a comfortable living area, and even a small kitchen. Prefects also were allowed additional technology in their suites such as TV's and so forth.

The promotion also meant more responsibilities to go with the numerous boons. But, it was never so much as to interfere with Etolie's education. There were plenty of access to what was expected of students and Prefects in Shokushu through rulebooks and pamphlets. The school staff and other Prefects could also provide further guidance.

Despite assumptions, neither Head Girls nor Prefects were removed from the list of potential targets for the island's guests. But being around staff and other people certainly improved her chances of not being targeted so openly. Still, if a guest desires Etolie, they will get her one way or another.

The finer details of how to perform one's duties as a Prefect would come with experience. Demerits were the most common way to handle any troublemakers. Then how to progress from there was left to the Head Girl's direction. But, that did not stop some Prefects from handling matters in their own way with a student. Students are more than open to negotiate if it means keeping the demerits off their record and a Head Girl's eyes elsewhere.

No matter the Prefect, Vera expects hers to report to her every week. Usually, this meant logging the demerits they had issued and discussing any further matters such as events or incidents that require more direct attention. Of course, some Prefects may seek for additional attention from their Head Girl depending on relations and experience.

Etolie was reminded to report in to Vera if necessary. Since severing the connection with the doll, it did not seem she was being randomly stimulated anymore. The fact such a solution was not tried sooner and before her earlier embarrassing displays would be an error the Sophomore will be kicking herself for the foreseeable future.

Besides the navy blue sash, there were no real changes to the Prefect's uniform. Compared to other students, Etolie may be expected to keep a more professional appearance but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Up in the tower suite, the Head Girl was working at her home turned office. Despite always claiming that her door is always open, the door was usually shut to ensure that visitors had to knock before being allowed entry. Etolie knocked and would hear that familiar cool and stolid voice calling for her to enter.

Vera was at the desk that was straight ahead from the door. The silver haired Head Girl was typing at her computer. What she was so busy working on was never known to even her own Prefects. But for Vera, it was nothing too special. She was performing her duties as Head Girl whether it was school related tasks such as logging demerits or reserving rooms in the basement for further correction. Other matters were less known such as replying to messages from staff or NICE labs about more sensitive topics.

The Head Girl already knew the doll was no longer tormenting Etolie. Did that mean the young woman's feelings for Vera have cooled as well? It mattered little either way to the grad student. As long as Etolie performs her duties as Prefect, that would at least be achieving the bare minimum.

Eventually, the sound of fingers on a keyboard stopped and Vera looked up to gaze at her newest recruit. Was she searching for flaws to point out? "Afternoon, Ms. Leblanc," Vera greeted the Prefect, "I trust you are here to report for your first week as my Prefect. I trust there were no issues with your new accommodations. I have you settled matters with the student council?"

Etolie voiced wishing to quit the student council to become a Prefect. The vice president would have to fill the now vacant president position for the time being.

Vera rose to her feet as she made her way towards the kitchen. "Would you like some tea?"

To say she was thrilled about her new accommodations had been an understatement. The space afforded to her allowed Etolie to unpack her things fully. The tech was a nice perk too. Though she rarely watched television radios pushed back white noise. Other things such as the microwave would take practice but she was familiar with them.

She wasn't so sure she'd get much use out of the kitchenette unless she roped Amy into using it on her behalf but it was good having it on hand and of course the goods to go with it. There she set up most of her chemistry things for the time being.

Had she know that the perks were so good she would have skipped the Student Council altogether. Etolie particularly enjoyed the balcony giving her the illusion of looking out at all the simpletons.

Still all this could vanish in an instant so Etolie took steps to avoid that. Throwing herself in her new role she adapted learning those simple matters that she had never had to deal with in her past.

So her first week was exhausting. Learning new things came in increments as other methods dawned on her. That and seeing videos or reading about alternate techniques. She had a little help with the packing and unpacking of her things.

Etolie adjusted into her new role throughout that initial week taking her to now, her meeting with Vera. Entering the room as she took the seat opposite of the Head Girl. That was another skill she did not have. Typing. When it was necessary for reports she'd simply have Amy type them for her. She did all the work and was smart enough to proof read her documents a few times. She knew that Amy would type the report errors and all when anyone with half a brain would correct misspelled words or replace those used in error meaning one thing but accidentally writing a related word in it's place.

She was doing all the other work. An argument could be made that she was sharing insights with Amy. She was simply too dense to understand the reports she typed.

As Etolie watched she considered picking up the skill for all of two seconds before dismissing it. There were plenty of people she could get to type on her behalf and it never was an issue.

“I am, Miss Matsumoto.” Was that gaze searching for something out of place? For flaws? It was both unsettling and thrilling. Even without the sensations generated by that doll. While not as powerful there was no mistaking the shiver that lanced along her spine.

“Yes, I have. It was a simple matter. Rachel has moved into the role as President for the time being. A new VP has been selected for now. I'm pretty sure they'll have a vote on changes moving forward before the week is out but I believe things will stand this way until the term finishes out if not longer.”

She didn't get into too many details. Vera would know of any permanent changes before her given the number of meetings she sat on. Unless she wanted to know the behind the scenes stuff ahead of time in which case she could keep tabs on things.

“Yes, tea would be delightful. Thank you.” She waited until the tea was served. “Do you wish for specifics in my report or a genuine feeling of this past week?”

The silver haired Head Girl was away for a time. Perhaps it was taking time to heat up the tea. Despite the flatscreen tv in the living area, it was off every time Etolie has been in Vera's suite. There was no radio playing either. It was unknown if the computer had anything playing prior to the Prefect's arrival. Perhaps everything she needed to know was by word of mouth or on her console? Or maybe the grad student preferred her suite to remain quite while she works and studies?

Short of getting up herself, Etolie would not that the place was kept visibly clean. The suite was much larger than even the upgraded room the Prefect received. Did Vera maintain this place herself or were their cleaning staff or did she get help from students and other Prefects? Since the Head Girl always welcomed students to her suite, she must have to keep appearances all the time.

Vera returned with tray in hand. Besides the light blue sash, the Head Girl's uniform was just as revealing as any other student's. But never had the woman shown any concern or embarrassment towards the short skirt and tight blouse. She walked gracefully and every motion seemed deliberate. She sets the tray down and pours from the tea kettle into two cups sitting on their own small dishes. The Head Girl offered one to Etolie before taking one herself and returning to her seat.

"I do not know what you are asking," Vera replied, "I require the demerits you assigned or reasons why you did not assign them. I fail to see how your genuine feelings matter in this."

The TV being off had been no surprise to Etolie. It was never on as far as she remembered and she figured that Vera had the same use for entertainment in that venue as she did. For Etolie there were more things to entertain her than some made up fiction. Though use of her dolls and magic she got to take on a more active roll. Plus there were all the simple and harmless things the guests supplied her to analyze.

With her knowledge of science there was only so much she could learn. Human knowledge had it's limits leaving Etolie to make her own guesses. Most of the time she was unable to test were her research lead her. She had been beginning to believe that that was intentional. The substances she was left with broke down too quickly. Not that she had considered collecting evidence about her attacks.

First who would she go to? Then finding the right people would probably chew up too much time making these substances inert. Plus admitting to these attacks would lessen her status. Even those she had with another student on hand she denied. Fortunately for her none of them were made public and remained between her, the guest and the other student.

It left her to wonder what Vera did for entertainment. The radio was off and she could only conclude that it had to deal with whatever was on the console. She saw some books but clearly it wasn't just reading.

A peak around her surroundings got Etolie wondering about how the tower was maintained. A cleaning staff? Maybe other Prefects? She herself used Amy and others to help her clean and pack. Well, she mostly supervised … so she could see Vera doing the same in order to free up time to tackle those reports and other tasks she seemed to be working on constantly.

Vera returned with the tea. Her eyes taking in the pleasing sight, Shokushu's attire made to be revealing. Not so much that wardrobe malfunctions occurred but enough to display all their wares. Breasts that yearned to be free, shapely legs and ass. It took a conscious effort not to flash those panties. Presents that were hardly gift wrapped so each and every curve could be explored by the guests ahead of time. Etolie concluded that some of the guests had to have exacting standards and didn't wish to waste their time with those that didn't met them.

“I didn't know if you wished for a summary of my week.” She fumbled with her satchel getting out her notebook. She hadn't given out too many demerits. Most people stayed clear of her unless called upon. Though she managed to sneak up on more than a few people. Other times she was just in the right place at the right time to see an infraction.

“I thought it was better to bestow warnings for minor infractions for my first week. But I recorded a dozen things or so that I couldn't let slide. Here are the names.”

She opened up the page that contained the names and infractions she recorded. Turning them over to Vera so she could update her records. “Had I used a bit of insight before hand I could have found out a source of contraband. It will be a bit harder now but it something I can work on. I doubt people will invite me to parties but I think I can gather a few leads.”
