(This is my first time! ) Arrived maybe a few hours ago and had been given a solid schedule to review by the end of the unpacking day. What with given the chance to find out what is on the island, the day being free for arrivals, she heads for the dorms. Familiarizing herself was on top of the list of duties today, wouldn't be a good idea to ironicly find yourself lost in front of someone's door, knocking to ask for directions, and impressing the school with a doorknobed blockhead. Experienced it before, not happening again, and will be remedied for the rest of the island when that chance occures. Wind blowing outside loudly while the air-conditioner cools off those inside the halls filled with door, after door, after door of digitized lockers silently standing by the walking student on either side. She wonders who's they belong to, swim team, book cluber, teacher's secret stash, or an empty that would end up being her's one day. Not too sure of that, seeing many people already ahead booking their gear into rooms rather than lockers. It wouldn't surprise her if these yellow stained lockers were meant for appearances sake than use. Speaking of the sake of appearances, her new uniform absolutely, "God help me...." Looking down at herself, without the help of a mirror, has eyes bulging at the hem of her dress down to the wimsical long socks stranded in a pool around her ankles. "Who designed this anyways?" There was a signia on the front of her coat, which is held thrown up in a whip in her hands with the emblem atop before tossed back over under her left. "Don't mind the color but it doesn't suit me at all, does it?" "Not really. Could use earth." "Ya'don't say... Shhh," her hushed conversation with herself pauses at the blonde and brunette passing her gentle coat arm. Nodding in their passing direction, she grins at their behinds for a moment before resumeing to ask herself what the hell is she in for this coming fall schedule. "White floor," a few minutes later, this random statement piques her interest. "Any reason why it is so smooth and white?" "What are you talking about? It is kempt by their diligence to keep their appearances." "It is strange to me. Even when remodeling a store, there is going to be a scuff mark somewhere, and yet'ya see'dat. You?" She looks off to the side, at an empty space by one of the hallways leading to another segement of the dormitories, but instinctivly acting as if there is someone she intently looks upon for answers. Perhaps? "Hello? I asked'ya if there was anything that you find strange about it too... Um... Hey, I know you are me but you can at least talk back, right?" Blinking, shaking her head in dismay, and walking on to a best location of discussion. A room. Without thinking about where her hands are going, hooks deft fingers down into the waist ring in substitute for pockets, and stares at the solid ground for an hour of walking. Eventually, the room that appears on a sheet of paper is produced into the palm of her hand after pulling it from the pronge spot of her coat's chest pocket. Reading it to herself and tucking it away, taking a look back the way she came down the lit hallway, leaving her gaze there for a good while to take into account what direction the numbers fall to when at her destination, her room. A key clicks into the crack of the knob. Her hand reaches out to push open the door while leaning her head in for a peek. Inside is plenty of space for perhaps two or three others, if the beds had not been properly associated to the four corners of the walls, it could. Though, sleeping on the floor would not be a first for her. "Stop thinking about that. No men around anymore. Remember to be Lady-like in the presence of teachers now. You know it. They expect the best appearances daily." "You don't know that. Teachers are wussies, anyways. Law forbids them to really do anything, anymore. Dad told'ya that how long ago? Mom even'greed to it. Spanking is a no, phys-ed is too tough, and sometime in the future they will ban sports out-right." "Parents overly protective of their children make that discision, not teachers," the alternate her speaks out while grinning wickedly at a mirror inside, getting a good look at herself, and swaying her hips around to watch the frills of her dress wave back at her reflection. "Dammit! Stop that," her hands cascades the dress to the floor immediatly and walks out of them to sit on the bed nearby in her underware. Before she knows it, laid back and arms out, the fingers entwined with the corners of a fluffy white pillow, her eyes stray to the door still hanging ajar. Her eyes scan over the silvery white doorknob, over the pane of natural life the door drawn when once a tree in lateral wooden patterns, up the symetrical angles of the frame's edge, and out into the void of the lightened up hall. "Somebody goin' see youuu. Som..." a hand claps herself across the face, leaving a red mark, and glaring at the door with a little bit of fury. "Shut it for now," taking a deep breath, she slides off the edge of this bed, and lays her butt down on the floor. A heel drags the skirt across the colorful rugged floor to her crotch. Snatched up from the snatch and skirted back up her pearly white legs. "C'mon, get up. More walking involved." The floor seemed a nice place to leave her other things brought into the room with her. A luggage bag with sorts of remedies to pass the time, such as; books, a recorder, little tissue packs, and other little things. With that aside, there is also the suitbags filled with hung up outfits for future events, meets, and drills. She will have to attend all appearing with those fitted. An index is read off down the list of classes and appointements to make for end summer while walking down the hall, her room currently faded in the background of other catagorized rooms, and heading in a direction opposing her previous destination. The facing eyes droop to boredom while her shoulders agree in a sag to her slow pace down the hall, counting a second hour of just walking and the sights to be seen written on plaques on dorm doors. Partially, she neglects practicing caution of looking in front of herself while heading into a cluster of students back from the outdoors. "You hear'em?" The alternate gives a nodded chin flick in the direciton of the girls. "Yeah, they'll move out'ah the way," she assumes the moment her nose stuck in the schedule scribbling away at a date colliding blindly on. |

Darwin took a deep breath as she gazed into the mirror; at her blue eyes and pearly white hair. She'd only woken the day before in the infirmary with memories vague and many of which missing; the last six months erased from her mind along with various portions of her past. Though one thing was clear to her. "I don't remember being able to do this before..." With That realization she changed her color to blue then red, green, blond, silver, orange, purple, and various combinations to see how far she could push the ability. she went so far as to make every strand of hair a different color before finally letting it return to it's gray default state. A smile crossed her face as she buttoned her shirt over her usual binding garment tying the tie in place and throwing her green blazer over it. "White with blue eyes looks exquisite today." She said to herself as she finished her look with a pair of fake glasses. She looked like an effeminate male though all the same a male none the less. She left her dorm; room 550; a large room she had chosen so she'd have room until her roommates began to arrive; it had been meant for four girls to live together comfortably. Next thing she did was begin to get her bearings back. Unfortunately another thing she had forgotten about this school. The girls often went crazy for her when she walked around in drag. "Darwin!!! It's him I can believe he's back!!!" Came a voice from the group which Ely had been near Darwin shook her head at the act as the girl moved to surround her.. "Huh? You know me? oh hmm, sorry Don't remember you." She said simply; the group looked a bit disapointed and one even cried a little. "Is there anything we can do to help you Darwin?" "I don't know, think I just feel like being alone if that's alright with you girls." Her tone maintained it's masculinity though that had taken years of training her voice to accomplish. The faculty knew who this 'man' was but, didn't say anything as long as she didn't dress like this in classes. She group sighed moving to their dorms a bit less cheerfully than before leaving Darwin and Ely as the only two in the hall. "I'll take it you didn't know those girls." She spoke moving closer to Ely with a calm smile on her face eyes gentle even through her glasses which looked quite real though their lenses weren't prescription. "Anything I can do for you?". |

Couldn't quite remember what it was that seemed wrong. Just something nagged in the back of her head, not anything that the group, this guy, or the environment visually offered her. It is a note about this school. A regulation or restriction that seemed reminded of when looking at him. Oh well, think on it later, eh? "Jus'wandering the rounds and familll..." she sucks her tongue in cheek for a moment, "Familiarizing myself." Shaking her head, quickly, speaking beneath a sigh, hating big words, "Sorry." Smacks lips and looks disarmed, "Ya'know, showing me around be nice?" Hands an inviting palm to the guy with a hopeful shake in return, "Name's Ely." Awhile, other hand, the white scrap of schedule paper is folded down into the front jacket. "Something tells me those girls will be jealous..." Eyes bulge a little bit into saucers, laughing nervously, hand smacking up to cover her mouth, and thinking fast, "Ya'think?" Instantly handing a thumb behind her shoulder at those girls leaving the hallway. Hopeing that this guy's attention diverts, just for a split second would be enough, to where the girls had ventured into their dorms, be time for a quick painful bite into the cup of her palm for regaining composure. "Shut-up," is nearly too silent to be heard but is said, never-the-less. |

Darwing took Ely's hand gently bowing and planting a kiss upon it's back as she'd done thousands of times before. She saw nothing wrong with this show of respect for other women. Though certainly a minor scathing glance from the group that was leaving wmight bother Ely a bit. "Ely, short yet sweet; My name's Darwin." Blue eyes looked into Ely's soothingly guaging reaction before she'd straighten her back once more keeping the smile on her face even when Ely mumbled to herself a thought crossed her mind zshe'd hum slightly as a thought crossed her mind; a little voice in her head that appeared since she'd reawoken but, she ignroed it for now. "Afraid I can't show you aroun dvery well... I've been here for qquite awhile I've been told but, I don't remember a second of it I'm afraid though; It would be an honor to look around the school with you." Her held her eyes closed waiting for a response from Ely still smiling sweetly. |

"Hah, okay," smooths the front to the back of her butch haircut, holding the nap of her neck, and leaning back to review this guy. It takes a few seconds to look from the shoes on up. "I already checked'dat room up the hall, my room, and this is the dormatory halls," handing indicating waves, where she speaks. Looking back at this guy's glassed in blue eyes, smiling, and ready to take it onto the next stage of this tour, "Ahhh... Ironic. Just remembered that I forgot to check what my room number was," nods to the schedule while pulling it out. It is somewhere down the list that actually states her room. "Jus'ta warn'ya, I'm a bit absent minded," grins a curt chuckle. "Why don't we check out the grounds by the caffeteria?" "Want this to be our first date?" Her alternate smirks while holding an arm out for Darwin to catch. Eyes wide again, grinding her molars, and suddenly in no position to refuse what has just started, "Sorry, if you don't want to, I'll understand." It might be nice to fool around later when there isn't a first impression to be realized here. She gulps and mindfully prays that the time ahead can be contained in finer control. |

Darwin took Ely's arm calmly nodding to the other girl free hand shifting into her pocket. She thought for a few moments before finally speaking once more. "A date sounds nice though I'm sure those girl's won't be happy about it." She snickered a little with a gentle shrug as she glanced to where the girl's had gone. "I don't know any of them as far as I remember." She blushed slightly before glancing at the floor thinking hard trying to remember the layout of the school to no avail. She glanced at the stairs and nodded. "Well then Ely, to the cafeteria then." With that sentence another girl turned the corner into the hall seeing Darwin holding Ely's arm in such a gentle semi-romantic fashion. The girl looked to Ely with daggers for eyes before entering the room nearest the corner. She isn't going to be popular with the straight girls being seen with you Darwin She herself on the outside just took a calm breath looking to the side at ely. you think the butch look is pretty don't you? Again the voice in her head went ignored as she took a step forward. "You wouldn't have a map would you? If not I'm sure we could just wander around for a bit we'll eventually find it." |

Nods, accepting the idea to wander around for a bit, but is slightly lost in thought, keeping silent. Not so sure of herself, looking back at what just happened, girl was definitly upset with her being with this guy. Those eyes, definitly not a good sign of a good first impression in the public. "Ya'know, we should fin' a site that tell's us where we're. A board or sum'thin'?" Drifting from a hall, large room, and up an extra flight of stairs, it should take them somewhere, to be sure, with evidence of someone else to ask directions. Maybe, just maybe, it is not so bad to be lost with this guy. It definitly appeared to be lucky to find someone to relate with, at least, in her high hopes for being someone that tagged with the boys all her life. "You updated with sports or something back at the mainlands?" A raised brow at Darwin, grinning from an ear, and chucking a thumb over her shoulder to indicate "back at the mainlands" as where ever come from. |

"Don't remember seeing any boards or sites that show where you are for the school; might want to suggest them to the faculty would help with new girls finding their way." Darwin told Ely scratching her chin as the two walked about the campus. They found themselves in the class area. Various simple classrooms in the hall none too complex mostly for first year students thus the classes Ely & Darwin would be taking. "Sports... hmmm not really a fan of cricket or football I like american foot ball more oddly enough but, hell of a time getting an american football game out in Dublin.... whom won the last superbowl any idea... sorry I didn't even ask you if you're an american! Sorry It's a bit rude to assume isn't it." Darwin sighed not doing so well of a first impression either as far as she was concerned a vague blush on her face. No one else wandered the halls the two were alone here for the time being; perhaps an awkward moment for the two that had just met each other. |

Winces at the mention of football. Any other sport would be better to talk about than this one, "I think it was Giants?" A shrug is leaving that reply in the air. "I have a bad feeling, if this place doesn't have anything to keep me up to date, I'll be at a loss... Bets and all," quickly she adds in to explain. "I had a few bets placed here and there on who was going to do what. So far, I know that someone owes me a Subway 12 inch." A smile, breaking up with contained laughter, stretches while facing her side at him. "What about you? Anything like that left back home," they may have wandered the halls of classes for about five minutes before, at least, a clock held up on the wall told them the time, only to remind her stomach of its grumbling problem. Sounds of their approach echoes a little against the empty clock's corridor. |

Darwin couldn't help but snicker a little at ely's mention of bets. "I can probably get you a sandwich or something; plenty of budding chefs around campus; think they're adding a culinary arts major to the school soon." She added before Ely's next question. "Anything I left behind?" She repeated scratching her chin shaking her head a little in a curious manner as they walked. "Nothing I can remember; As far as I know I brought everything with me. Partial amnesia and all that crap." A Piece of paper sticking out of a door caught her eye and she reached to it pulling it out and glancing at it smiling armly showing Ely the map of the campus she found; it was signed by a girl named Erica Riley; Darwin had never met the girl but, how could she not know of the number one graded student on campus. On the back of the map was the key and listings of what floor held what though various areas on the map itself were circled with warning written on it. "Cafeteria isn't far from the class building... want to go see if they're serving anythinggood?" |

Held her head down, closing her eyes, and laughing at the generosity. "A samwhich wouldn't be bad right now," mentions this casually while shaking her head and giving the tum a pat. Her head kicks up to notice the map and giving a nod to having a go at this cafe. "Be like going into a theater," her hands hold up empty palms but her eyes light up behind them in front of him, "not sure what'ya choose but hope its good till the last bit." The right hand falls away to wave at the direction to go in a sweep. "Ya'know, haven't noticed many guys around. Ya'all hangle the rooms alot or outside or wha'?" |

Darwin thought for a moment as she lead the pair to the cafe which didn't take very long now with a map to guide their efforts though it had been abit quiet during the trip. Honestly she wasn't sure how to answer Ely's question she came up with the truth; well at least part of it. "You caught me on my second day after waking in the infirmary. Lucky I even remember the name of the school at this point." She offered a gentle laugh as she pushed the door open to the empty cafe. no one was there; though there was some food out for students if they should come by and a bit of a salad bar. "I'm starting to think everyone in school got an invitation to some party or something except you and me." She looked at the map once more and sighed slightly. "I'll have to make you a copy of this later... anyway, Grab some food and enjoy; the chef here is surprisingly good." |

Grabbing a handful of her hair in the back of the head, she scratches and yanks a bit in annoyance, having asked that question and not considered him mentioning already about the memory problem. "Next time think before you speak," an indignified voice filters past clenched teeth. "Fuck you," is whispered back to herself while walking over to the salad bar and waving freely at Darwin in acceptance. "Sure, a copy woul'be great!" The bar was applentied with many varieties of dressings, vegetables, light meats, and (of course) salad. Although, when it came to choosing something to retrieve from the counter, her hands scooped away at the spinach at full pace meal. It is a plate full of the dark leaves while being now covered with carrot shreddings and added with a side of egg. "Anything special, ya'think?" She asks this out of pleasantness than expecting a specified reply, grinning, and heading to the main board of today's meals. |

"I recommend the chicken if there's any left; it's usually the best tasting thing they have even if it doesn't compare to what the students make in their dorms it's still quite good for those of us who are destined to live off of chinese take-out... though I can actually cook a bit I just perfer not to go into the school storage and use my alotment of ingredients Like to save it up." Darwin's smile remained as she took a seat comfortably at one of the tables there'd be plenty of room for Ely. Muttering could be heard if you paid enough attention; eyes peering over the glass of the door into the room watching Ely & Darwin. 'if she touches him I'm gonna kill her' 'no I am! He's mine!' 'He's ours!' the sound of a bit of a scuffle outside the cafe could be heard now; it happened whenever Darwin hung out with new girls not that she'd remember this nor did she pay much attention to what was happening outside; she was far too busy studying the map she'd found. "Lot of places are marked dangerous you know. Wonder why." |

Listening well to the suggestion while making it up as an order. A handful later of the meal and nearly seated, the head on her shoulders makes an abrupt turn towards the scuffle, unable to make out just what on earth is going on, but able to just tell that something wasn't happening the way a couple wished. She sits and shrugs. "Are'ya sure about that map? Maybe its old... Like, construction-site old. Could explain the danger zones," another shrug after the count of thinking on that map. Forking her plate while swirling her attention over the table, map, floor, and the guy in front of her. "You have a girlfriend?" A swallowed lump of spinach in her throat distracts herself with a swift swig of water while the alternate takes advantage of the moment. Brown eyes roams over the guy's bod' for that single moment. Then, those brown eyes widen, and splutteres in her glass of water, "Sorry, didn't mean'ta be disrespectful... Oh boy." Spray of water smacked up into the air and had landed in more places than on Darwin's map and chest, thus, a rather shocked response of 'oh boy' and a 'I don't know what to do' stare. |
