Post Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have... (Diana Varnia)
Saburo stood in the commons of the school dormitory, and thought for a moment.

What, exactly, was she supposed to do here? She looked around at the large empty room, here in the middle of this dorm building, and sighed. It was strange, because she felt almost as if she'd been somewhere else before this. Had she walked all this way already? Really, she couldn't quite remember much of anything since going through that bizarre and uncomfortable interview.

She shook her head. No, that wasn't true at all! She sat down in one of the plush chairs and sighed out. She looked at the ceiling. She must have just spaced out, thinking of something or another. She did seem to have bad memory. At least, if this was any indication, it was shoddy as hell. Smiling, she started counting the tiles on the ceiling, since nobody else was there.

Truly, though, why was she at this place? Why had she come here? For a moment nothing came to her, and then she remembered. Her parents had sent her here. Why wouldn't they have? After all, they were rather strict, and a good all-girl's school a thousand miles or more away from any boys would be good for her morals, or some such. At least, she presumed they thought this. And this presumption took on the guise of fact, for she had convinced herself with a readiness that would probably startle anyone else who saw her.

She started playing with her long hair. She couldn't remember ever doing it before, but... no, it was something she rather liked to do. A habit of hers. She looked at her hair, twirling it slowly around her finger. It was boring here. Her things weren't here yet, and she didn't really know where anything was, at all. Had she been assigned a room? How did that work, anyway? She wasn't really certain, but if anyone came by she'd be sure to ask them. She doubted she even had any I.D. or anything!

Speaking of which, she checked her purse.

Inside was a wallet, which contained her driver's license (she could drive? Oh, of course she could.) some make up, a brush, some other tiny knickknacks, along with a school I.D. She didn't find any keys or anything telling her where her dorm room was, and so she sighed. There was nothing, besides her I.D., which spoke of any individual personality, or anything at all. They were just standard items, nothing of personal significance at all. They were there, and she took that fact for granted, thinking nothing more of it.

But what she wouldn't take for granted was the fact that she was bored, alone, and had no idea what to do.

Damn it! Where is everybody, anyway?! It isn't too late, is it? No... it's only... nine o'clock at night? Huh, when did it get that late? Oh, well. Hey, if anyone's around here anywhere, please come out! I need a little help here...

Diana could hear the fateful groans of frustration all the way from her own dorm room. Although the door was slightly adjar and she was only three doors down, she still felt that the volume of the girl was a sign as to just how desperate she was for help. Diana stood up from her bed, wearing nothing but a skimpy pair of short shorts, leaving most of her legs bare, a tight t-shirt, accentuating her bust, and a pair of sneakers, kept away from her feet by a pair of white socks. She peered out of her door to see the brunette girl entering her room. The shouts then came and Diana suddenly felt compelled to help.

Stepping out of her room and creeping carefully to the door of the girl, Diana commenced by staring into the room through the door, which was opened just a crack. Carefully opening it, loud enough to announce her presence but hopefully quiet enough to not aggravate the girl. "Hey, can I help you with something?"

Saburo had been frustrated, and so was actually giving groans of annoyance. Tapping her foot and realizing, here and for all, that she was stuck here, and really had no way of figuring out what she was supposed to do, really. After all, what was there that she could do, anyway? She couldn't, for example, yell out too loudly, or start knocking randomly on peoples' doors. She figured she hadn't even been given a room yet. But she'd come here, so what was there to do?

She was back into this toe-tapping, furious reverie when the door to the commons room opened, and a blonde girl peered inside. Saburo's eyes opened, and she looked up from the seat she'd been sitting on. She peered over, seeing the girl enter, and ask her if she could help. For a long moment she was silent, and then, a wide grin came upon her face. She stood up with a clap, and then smiled with a slightly pained, apologetic look.

Um... yes! Definitely! See, I was just brought to this school... she suddenly searched through her purse, and pulled out her student I.D. And I guess I was instructed to come to the dorms. It's late and everything, so I doubt I'd think I'd want to stay outside! She smiled a little bit more, and stepped forward, towards the girl.

Saburo was dressed, so it seemed, in a standard Shokushu uniform, fitted to her perfectly. She had no bags, no visible sets of possessions, nothing but the clothes on her back and the purse she held at her side. Yet she seemed not at all concerned about this peculiar fact, and in fact didn't seem to notice it at all.

So, anyway, I'm not sure where to go here, and, um... I really have no idea what I'm supposed to do to find out what room I have, or anything like that... you live here, so you probably know where the office is and everything... She clasped her hands together with a slightly pleading, but still smiling look. Could you help me, please? I'd be forever grateful to you if you could...

"Hmm... Let me think on it for a bit, first, there's a lot of things we're going to need to consider. And I'd be glad to help you." Diana added the last assurance almost as an afterthought. She sat down beside the young brunette and started to contemplate the situation. The girl had no possessions, no idea where she was, no idea what she was doing. Diana sighed and looked up at her. "Look, before we do anything, lets wait for it to be day. Walking around this school at night isn't very safe. My roommate is..." Diana sighs painfully at the memory of the cute little blond girl that she had taken a fond of. Violett... Where are you? Her gaze had wandered to an uncovered window that showed the darkening sky. Diana's eyes returned to Saburo and she smiled. "She's out for a few days. You can stay with me until we get all of this figured out. What do you say?"

Saburo gazed at the girl for a long moment. Then, her smile grew into a broad grin. This girl was going to help her! She listened patiently, not saying anything while the girl went through everything she wanted to say. She nodded occasionally, thinking just a little bit about everything. Why wasn't it safe after dark? That was the primary worry, and it almost certainly crossed her expressive face.

She leaned in somewhat close, looking at the girl. She seemed somewhat upset about something, but Saburo doubted it was her, or else she'd probably already have said something, or walked off. When the girl suggested they wait for daytime, she nodded, but before she even had time to wonder what she was going to do, the girl offered her own room! Her smile softened into something a little more appreciative.

I would appreciate it alot... Oh! She said, thinking to herself. My name is Saburo. May I ask what your name is, friend? She called her a friend because, for now, she was her only friend! The only person she knew, and one who was inviting her into her room. She felt thankful, and her posture was already relaxing from the tense, agitated manner of before into a much softer, more fluid way of holding herself. She placed a hand on the girl's shoulder and smiled again, appreciatively.

Thank you... very much. I don't know what I would have done without you!

Diana smiled at Saburo and returned the gesture, placing her own hand softly on the brunette's shoulder. "My name is Diana. I'm happy to have someone else to sleep in my room with me. It's been very..." Another lonely sigh escaped the blond's lips. "Very empty without anyone else." She stood up and offered the girl her hand. When she took it, Diana lead her to her dorm. The light was still open, the door was still ajar and her bed was made and ready for sleep. Although it wasn't very late yet, Diana knew that to be ready ahead of time was a good thing.

She lead the girl to the second bed that Violett typically slept in. Diana pulled back the covers and offered the girl a seat. She opened up her dresser and took out a pair of her own PJs, they might be a bit large on the girl, but they should fit her. The blond then hurried off to fetch a glass of water for Saburo, bringing it back before the girl had had any time to even get up. She placed it on the night stand near by. "If there's anything you'd like, just ask." Diana smiled sadly at her and sat down on her own bed. She slid off her top and shorts, starting to change into her own PJs.

Saburo followed the girl to her room, and sat down on the bed that Diana offered her, with a sigh. She looked around at the room, admiring it. She hoped to have her own soon enough... but if Diana didn't have a roommate... well, that didn't seem probable. But even so, how else would she have this extra bed, then? Perhaps the roommate had gone, and that's what Diana had meant about it being lonely lately. That was probably it, and she smiled a little at this thought, while looking at the girl.

She appreciated everything. She'd been handed this new pair of clothes, and looked at them a little oddly before Diana returned with a glass of water. She took it, and took a sip, sighing a little bit. She enjoyed it, and finished it off right off! It was refreshing! A look of pleased surprise appeared on her face, and she smiled.

That was good, thank you! She smiled, and looked at the pajamas. She wasn't... precisely sure what she should do. She was supposed to put these on? Why? What was so special about this set of clothes? While she was pondering it, she looked over at Diana, who'd begun undressing. How curious! She watched carefully, not saying a word at first, just smiling a little. No attempt to look away, or give her any privacy, just... watching her. She wanted to see! It wasn't even a sexual thought, at this moment, she was just... looking at the girl as though she'd never seen another girl undress before. It was curious!

Diana glanced behind her shoulder and noticed Saburo watching her undress very curiously. Diana turned away and blushed softly, the prospect that a girl found her attractive making her feel a tad bit shy. She finished undressing and then dressing once more and flopped down onto her bed. She slid easily into the covers and started to stare up at her ceiling. Although the PJs covered most of her body, Diana wasn't overly hot. The nights at Shokushu could get deathly cold. She then glanced over at her new friend.

"Why aren't you getting dressed?" Diana started to giggle softly. "Don't you know how?" The question was intended as a joke, but the blond's face suddenly took on a very serious aspect when she saw Saburo's reaction.

And what was her reaction? In truth, it was something she tried to hide. Her eyes widened just a little bit, and she blushed in slight embarassment. She still didn't really understand what the point was. Sure, she could figure out how to put them on... it's not as if pajamas were a difficult set of garmants to dress yourself with, after all, but the problem was a deeper and perhaps even more troubling one of not knowing even why.

She laughed a little bit then, and though her face was still red, hopped off the bed. She wasn't about to say it, and so she'd lie, pretending absolutely that nothing was wrong, nothing at all!

Oh, that's silly. I know how to put them on, Diana! And that was true... at least, for the most part. Now, standing there, she began to remove her outfit... and she was doing so surprisingly clumsily, as if she didn't have all the practice years of putting on uniforms would give a girl in dealing with dresses. She pulled the skirt off clumsily, took just a little too long removing the shirt... and the oddest thing was her body was still pointing towards Diana, as though she had no clue about personal modesty, or anything of the sort.

Pretty quickly she was practically naked, leaving only her underwear, before she put on the shirt and bottoms, which were only a little too big, since Diana was taller enough to make a difference, and they had differing body shapes. She put it on slowly, a little carefully, and brightened considerably once she'd finished.

There, see? In truth, she'd given Diana quite the show of her young body.

Diana was now laying on her side and watching her new friend dress herself. It was like watching a young child learning to dress and undress itself. It was sort of cute, Diana had to admit. But the only difference was, this child had an impressive pair of breasts and a very seductive body shape. Diana found a blush beginning to blossom on her face as well. She smiled at the girl when she finished. "I knew you could, I was just teasing." Diana then flipped over onto her back and began to stare at the flat, feature-less ceiling. "So, where are you from, Saburo?" Trying to make conversation to pass the time until the two got tired was the only thing Diana could think of doing. Well, except... No, that wouldn't be fair, taking advantage of this poor girl's naiveté.

(Wouldn't be fair? *grins* what a pity... lol)

Saburo nodded brightly. She was smiling now, and felt much more at ease after getting dressed, and learning that Diana had only been joking. She sat again on the bed, feeling the springs bounce a little under her form. She smiled, and moved again, bouncing just slightly up and down. She didn't mind the sound of the springs creaking. Now, she wasn't a child, that was true, and her brain was that of an 18 year old, not a child, so there were some clear differences... but her naivete, her oddly interested reaction in everything she felt, and everything that happened, was definitely a childish response. No, maybe even that wasn't quite accurate. It was more like she was new to the culture, and had been born on an alien planet or something.

Even when Diana looked at the ceiling, Saburo was watching her, quietly. Her eyes, for the most part, didn't move off of her, even a little bit. Then, the girl asked her where she was from. Saburo opened her mouth for a moment, then stopped. The stop was just a little too long. How hard was it to say?

From America, of course. Well... I was born in Germany, but grew up in America... I mean the United States. Um... I lived in, uh, Pittsburgh for awhile, but... Her hesitation was weird. Was she just making things up or something? Or maybe she just had a bad memory? She acted like she was trying to remember. ...but we went to a lot of places, lived in a lot of places. You know, not living in the same place very long? Anyway, I was always stuck at home, so it didn't really matter where I lived, it all seemed the same to me.

Normally such a thing would elicit some bitterness. And there even was a little bit... but it was almost... too little for what she was trying to express.

Diana looked over the girl, her words practically dripping with sadness and self pity. But her tone and body language didn't seem to reflect it. This made Diana suspicious or at least pity the girl. She seemed to be trying to hide her sadness but was failing. Diana felt compelled to ask the girl to permanently stay with her, but she knew that if Violett returned then she would be very heartbroken. She did not want to hurt her diminutive lover, so she decided that Saburo would only stay here for as long as needed.

That dark voice in the back of everyone's mind, the one that told them the cold, hard truth about their true intentions. It began speaking to the blond. You don't really feel sorry for her or want to be nice, you just want her to stay because she's pretty. You don't want her to rest in Violett's bed, you want her to rest in your bed. Stop pretending and do it already. The voice was compelling and it sounded very much like her own, almost exactly like it. This made the blonde suddenly comprehend the possibility that it was her own mind compelling her to seduce the brunette.

Diana looked over at the girl again and could not help but notice how she was staring back at Diana. Maybe she wanted this as badly as the blonde? Diana found this prospect extremely attractive to accept. "Wait, if you stayed home all the time, does that mean you've never had a boyfriend?" The blonde knew this was the path to take if she wanted to start something. Put boys in the bad light and put girls in the good. Attract her to the feminine aspect of sexuality and push away the heterosexual.

Saburo had spent the entire time watching her, even as the girl thought. She was thinking hard. Saburo might not have been, exactly, expert in the dealing of people, but she did have a human's ability to read faces. And Diana was clearly fighting something internally... and one side beat the other, and she'd made a decision. And here she was, asking a question that totally wasn't innocent.

But Saburo had no idea what about it could be dangerous or anything... so she might as well answer honestly! It's not like this girl would want to take advantage of her or anything like that, wasn't that right?

Oh? A boyfriend? Well... no. I guess I haven't. She guessed. I don't remember having anyone youd call that. Why do you ask, Diana? If you were a boy, I'd think that sounded like you were wanting to be my boyfriend! She giggled a little bit at that. Well... it DID sound like it, didn't it? She was searching for it, and, really, she could understand, or so she thought, that if you really wanted to approach someone, you'd do something like that. Wasn't that right?

But then, that was silly! Diana was a girl, so she had to be imagining it.

The simple irony of the situation almost hurt. The girl had deduced Diana's intentions but did not know that they were possible. "I guess you could say that, Saburo." Now how to move on with the situation without making it any more awkward? She wracked her mind for anything that she had noticed previously. The girl had seemed lost and depressed earlier. Maybe she could work with that. "Well, earlier you seemed sad and depressed. I thought maybe it was because your boyfriend had broken up with you or something. Or you had to leave him in order to come here."

Diana's hands rested on her flat stomach, just over her belly button. Each place she touched on her body reminded her of some previous guy she had dated, thought she was in love with and found herself heart broken. One had rubbed her left leg, another her right, a third had always hugged her around the waist, a fourth had always held her right hand, a fifth her left. And finally there was the one that she had actually given herself to. It seemed to form a pentagon on her body. One that radiated in pain. She suddenly found herself distracted from the need to seduce Saburo. She found a tear forming on the left side of her face, the one that Saburo could not see. The tear trickled down the side of her head and onto the mattress.

Saburo listened to the girl intently, now. Realization, or just a sliver of it, was slowly dawning in her eyes. She really was new at all of this, but she wasn't stupid... just not at all knowledgeable. She watched Diana carefull, as she told her that she was essentially correct, and started to think. Was she frustrated? No, she was trying to find the way to say something, and it was really rather odd, when Saburo thought about it.

Then came her question, which totally didn't fit the facts she'd already plotted out, and then started getting depressed. Saburo frowned, in concern, and got up. She walked over to Diana, and placed a hand on her shoulder. She leaned over near her, a lot of thoughts streaming through her mind. She had to go with what she assumed was true... she supposed it wasn't a surprise, but still.

As I said... I never had a boyfriend. But I get the sneaking suspicion that you had one. Did you leave him when you came here, or am I totally off? As... to the other thing. Saburo looked at Diana more intently, and took a deep, long breath before proceeding. I don't know anything about dating, or boyfriends, or... girlfriends. But I get the sneaking suspicion you really were coming onto me earlier.

She blushed a bit, and smiled, even though she was clearly feeling embarassed. She went and hugged Diana then, rather tightly, and somewhat awkwardly, as well!

Don't be sad. I don't know how long you've been here... but if I'm right, and you really were coming onto me... well... I don't know anything about that, but, um... I doubt I'd hate it too much. I mean, isn't that what you were doing?
