Re: Cornered (For Raitei)
((Sorry for the delay, things got busy! ))
The floor was cold and it burned Renetta's chest and exposed limbs until she was able to lift herself at least a few inches. But the impact had left her breathless, her escape interrupted abruptly and with little hope of succeeding. The heavy steps from the monsters could be heard clearly behind her, moving ever closer even if they took their time.
"Stray pieces of cloth, benches, lockers... Everything is against you in this darkness," Rahs expressed. He didn't hurry to catch her but Renetta would be able to feel a long tendril touching her leg. She could tell Rahs was still a few meters away, just what was touching her right now? She didn't need to think much to know it was trouble.

Re: Cornered (For Raitei)
Renetta fought through the haze in her head from her fall. She pushed herself upright, trying to will herself back onto her feet. Suddenly, she gasped as she felt something brush against her leg, near her ankle. Instinctively, she yanked it away from the unknown sensation. The shock was enough to kick her body back into gear, and she leaped to her feet with a yelp. She didn't know what it had been, especially since her pursuer seemed so much farther away, but she wasn't about to stand in the dark and think about it.
She took off again, stumbling and tripping her way through the darkness. Her eyes adjusted as best they could, but panic made it difficult for her to focus. She bumped against lockers and benches as she tried to run, managing to stumble a few more times. No matter how hard she tried, she could feel the other person getting closer to her.
"H-help!" she finally managed to stutter, then to shout. "Help! Stay away from me! Someone help me, please!"

Re: Cornered (For Raitei)
Object after object seemed to get in her way. No matter how far or fast Renetta went the layout did come to her in the panic.
"No one can hear you now," the voice said from behind. He was getting closer.
A few more turns, some other crashes against the cold floor until suddenly the poor girl could see with faint light a door. She could not tell where it leaded to but she had to get away. If she was fast enough, she could escape and leave the strange creature behind locked.
But when she finally reached it, it would not budge. In fact, it gave her slight shocks as she touched it, but even if she endured them and pushed the door was an unmovable as a wall. Then in a second she felt something like the thing that touched her before wrap around her waist and she was pulled with great force backwards. She hit a wall, or that was what she thought. It was not as warm as another person but it had a certain texture. Like a reptile.
"I made sure you could not leave." The man spoke. He had captured her, it seemed. He spun Renetta around and now she could see better the appearance of her stalker. He had a mask of metal hiding his face and only left his bright blue eyes to look at. Beneath it, wide and strong shoulders grew to trunk-like arms that held her tight. His chest and abs were clearly defined and sculpted with muscles. But everywhere she looked his skin was green and scaly.

Re: Cornered (For Raitei)
Renetta stumbled past one obstacle after another, feeling benches and lockers and discarded clothes bump and scrape at her, trying to knock her over or tangle her up. All the while, that thing behind her seemed to get closer and closer. He was practically on top of her. Just as she knew he'd reach out and grab her, salvation suddenly appeared in front of her. A light. A faint, narrow light, but a light whose shape was unmistakably a door out of this nightmare. With a burst of desperate hope, she threw herself towards it, slamming against it, turning the handle to throw them open.
But the doors didn't move. She gasped as they resisted her attempts like iron walls. She didn't feel the shocks, she couldn't think about the pain. She was in panic now. She threw herself against the doors again and again, pleading with her meager strength for them to release her. But the doors did not relent. They seemed to almost fight back against her, taunting her and promising her fate with this thing.
She continued to pound against the door, right up to the second it flew away from her. Or rather, she flew from it. A pressure around her waist was her only warning - one she didn't have time to heed. Then she was being thrown backwards, exactly the direction she had struggled so hard to escape from. She barely had time to feel fear over her sudden flight backwards before it stopped, and her back collided with something very solid, but not entirely unyielding. Her eyes went wide, and a gasp caught in her throat as she felt hands on her shoulders. With irresistible force, the thing behind her spun her. And at last, she had no choice but to look.
She couldn't breathe. This thing - this living entity - wasn't human. She didn't know what she could call it. Except she did. It was a nightmare. There was nothing else it could be. This couldn't be real. She was dreaming, and she was going to wake up in her bed, with her roommate snoring across the room. This couldn't be real...
"W...what are you?" she barely breathed.
