I found my eyes starting to water again. I looked up at the dark figure, and I found myself reluctantly nodding my head. "I'll do whatever you want, just don't hurt her..." I knew how stupid I sounded. But these things had the power to kill us if they wanted. and if they did, they would be others. So they really had nothing to lose.
