Dawn has been busy the past weeks since her return. It was, so hectic she has lost track of time and tired her out very quick. Busy perhaps isn't the word to describe it, more like way over worked and stressed. Handling both Cheerleading and Swim Team is something she can BARELY do alone. Now that she has been giving the position of captain on both squads, she has everything on both squads to handle. Dawn had no help, she ran from place to place after practice, thank god both squads practice area's are next to each other or else she won't be able to handle it on her own. it was during all of this Dawn got a note asking her to be there after both squads are done practicing to have a "Meeting" with someone that is willing to help her out of this conundrum. Dawn had no idea whom it might be, but if this was real then maybe it would be help.

Dawn stayed at the Gym after both squads have finished practicing, Cheerleading Squad then Swim Team respectively. Since she can stay here this time, Dawn took a shower to relax herself, before making her way to the Cheerleading Mat. The day was ending, the Sun is slowly setting, and everyone has left the Gym, excluding herself of course. Since that was the case, Dawn decided to practice by herself. Again this time it wasn't Cheerleading routines, it was fighting. She took up the rare fighting stance of Pi Qua Quan, closed her eyes and moved swiftly, fast, and beautifully through her moves, with her long hair flowing in the back as she stepped into her attacks, moving in a windmill like formation, before stepping into the Bokuho stance. Dawn opened her eyes and looked around, before quietly talking to herself, "hmm...that practice yesterday helped. Not as rusty, then again i think that new girl Lelita saw me do this...maybe it isn't a great idea to do it with so many people on the squads."

She had to though, protecting the people who she loved was a first priority, and if she can't do that, what was the reason for coming back to SHS? What was the reason she is trying to control her flash spells? Learn to try and control her new found 6th sense? With all this in mind, Dawn, a little angry, started hitting harder in the air, she was sweating now, so her sweat flying off of her while she hits her attack moves, but again her moves are swift, flowing, and smooth. Dawn knows she hasn't mastered the style, and she needs to be just a bit quicker into her attacks. She sometimes misses some steps, which is very important in this style. Dawn continued to practice though, keeping in mind that she had someone important to protect, someone's memory that she has to uphold.

I step in the gym wearing my school uinform and holding a gym bag I notice Dawn was doing some of her fighting moves so I just watch and fold my arms not saying a word "she's getting better." I say to my self as I grin

"hey Dawn don't over do it." I say with a soft giggle "I don't want my lover and my co captain to pass out." I say with a smile as I walked over to her and give her a kiss on the cheek "if you don't mind I would like to join up both the swim team and the cheer leader team as co captain what do you think of that idea?" I ask with a grin

Dawn stopped quickly and swung around to see Kim standing there looking. "Oh...how long have you been standing there? How long have you known about this?" It was a puzzle, Dawn had no clue Kim even knew she known how to fight. By what she has said though, she might have known a long time ago. "It...it was suppose to be a secret...wait your the one that gave me the letter?" She was very excited to hear Kim was the one that wanted to help her out. Then Dawn remembered something.

Long time ago before she disappeared, the person helping her out when Carmen disappeared, it was Kim whom was the one helping her. It was Kim all along! How the hell can she forget something so simple like this? Maybe she is losing track of things, being so busy has taken more of a toll on her. Dawn stopped practicing before grabbing a towel near by and drying herself off. She was wearing the usual campus skirt, but she worn a tank top instead of what the school used. "I would love for you to help me out Kim...i can't believe i forgot you were the one that helped me, before i disappeared..."

Dawn shook her head and sighed, then something got her attention, an alarm perhaps? In her head though, Dawn ignored the warning while taking a quick glance around the gym just too be sure nothing is watching. "I think something is here...but then again i been so over worked things been ringing in my ear when there wasn't anything there." Dawn was way over worked, it showed on her face, her usual and happy smile wasn't there.

I smiled "which is why im hear to help and Evy has been watching train on your fighting I've been learning how to fight my self im not as good as Evy tho but I can still fight back if need to." I say with a grin "when Carmen was gone I stop cheerleading I used to enjoy doing it but when I lost Carmen and then you I just gave up.."

I then kissed her deeply and smiles "but now that your back I think I can do it again and swimming as well so how bout we both be tried together." I say with a soft giggle "plus we could also spur if you want."

"Sorry to worry you. i know how hard it is to loose someone to this god for saken place. to be honest i don't even know i was going to come back until i got here, and now that i am, it feels like i wasn't even gone..." It was true too, things seems right where things use to be, except little details that she is remembering from the days she has been gone. It also was true, when Carmen disappeared, it was a huge blow to her classmates, the now senior class lost someone very dear to everyone, Carmen was more then a friend to everyone. The reason why she took up her position was because she doesn't want Carmen to be let down, and let the Cheerleading Squad to simply vanish. Her position as captain for Swim Team was a surprise, Jennifer Chase wasn't the captain, but a big part of the Swim Team, losing her was like losing the captain. Then again the Swim Team did lose there captain.

The reason why she is still fighting back is for the people she has lost to the island, numerous friends, and one particular lover Kasumi. Losing Kasumi was more than devastated her, Kasumi was her everything until Kim took that position. Dawn wasn't going to let it happen to Kim, she would rather die then let Kim disappear too. "I...I promised Kasumi long before, I'd won't let this island take more of our friends, fighting is the only way out. I figured there isn't a point in trying to keep this a secret other than the monsters might find out."

I smiled "Carmen was my everything but I think you and Madison had replace her heh to think it had to take two girls to replace Carmen I miss her alot tho I want her back so badly.." I say with a sigh "but enough of the sad times this time around your not going to fight alone cause im fighting with you like it or not." I say with a smirk

"I lost you once and im not losing you again."

I would walk to the locker room and to get my clothes on when I came back I was wearing black spandex shorts and a sports bra as I smiled at Dawn "not only do I want to be co captain of both teams but I want to fight with you im not letting you fight those freaks alone I'll die before that happens." I would start to do some round house kicks and get into a fighting stance "I'll fight without until we both disappear.." I say while looking at her

What Dawn had sensed had been a being so small that it would have gone unnoticed at a glance. Aegir had his nodes spying on individuals, the diminitive creatures appeared to be nothing more than yellow octopi though naturally their coloration had changed to blend in better with their surroundings. Through them Aegir could extend his powers, he could also see and hear through their senses. On this particular evening however Aegir had no nefarious plans. His nodes had been out as usual, scouting and prowling into minds, reporting back to Aegir upon their findings and generally keeping him appraised of the events that occurred in his absence.

Believe it or not Aegir had actually released a student that he had snared. He had been upon the outskirts of the sports field when he had snared one of the newer students. Stalking her had been way too easy, she was new and naive, though when he had acquired his prize he did not crack her opened, he did not seek his immediate gratification. Rather he pressed his thoughts into her mind only to realize that he had been mistaken about her. She had not possessed the qualities that he had been after and thus had been no good to him over all. Sure he could have had a little fun with her but he had offered her an out, a challenge and found that he had actually been bested.

Really it was a simply game and she had everything to gain by winning. Aegir had told her if she could wriggle free from a single appendage that she was free to go ... surprised to find that the girl was double jointed not to mention she deliberately dislocated her shoulder to weasel her way out of his grip Aegir had been quite astonished. He had learned of wolves that would gnaw their own legs off to get out of bear traps but he had never seen the matter in practice before. Internally congradulating her on her efforts Aegir knew that he would stumble upon her at some point in the future though he did scrub her memories of the encounter for he did not want the campus to be alerted to his presence.

With the evening having been a bust Aegir had fully planned on returning to the ocean, perhaps he could snag another shark for sustenance as he was beginning to feel a little peckish. About ready to depart into the forest to make his overland trek back to the ocean Aegir had been halted by a signal. One of his nodes contacted him, relaying to him images of two students caught up in a kiss.

He had dismissed the matter off hand, not really caring to become a voyeur before he had seen the familiar pink highlights in the blond's hair. Focusing his attention a little better his mouth tentacles twitched in recognition of the student. Dawn Portman ... ah, yes, he knew her quite well. And who was that with her? Ah, you must be Kim. Now this caught his attention. He had tried to pass himself off as Kim once pulling her image from Dawn's mind on the fly. For a moment he considered crashing their little party, his node relaying to him that it appeared that the pair had been practicing some sort of martial art.

He paused in thought, mulled the matter over and contemplated what he had to gain from interferring with their work out. Aegir had not so much as worried about being harmed, hand-to-hand tactics had not been all that effective on him primarily due to his composition, his boneless nature and rubbery flesh made him durable to strikes though quite vulnerable to blades of all sorts. An illusion would not work either, Dawn's gifting would allow her to see through the matter though could he fool the pair? Could he get within range of them? Ah, that was a challenge wasn't it. He had never before taken on two students at once, his slow speed made taking on such tasks all the more challenging for one little slip up and a would-be victim could escape his clutches, summon help and ruin a perfectly planned evening. This though had not been as bad as it seemed. Aegir knew from his time with Dawn that Dawn would not leave Kim behind. He was willing to bet that Kim wouldn't leave Dawn behind either, his interactions with Dawn had seemed to affirm that. Snare one, you snare them both ...

Instructing his node to keep hidden Aegir deviated his course slithering back towards the campus. To make his approach easier he could have cloaked himself in an illusion though he did not do so. Instead he reached out with his mind finding where individuals were by their presence alone and realized that he could make it to the gym without running across anyone's path even at his slow gait. Soon enough he would be there, though he took his time allowing him plenty of time to formulate a plan along the way. In a few short spans of his hearts beating Aegir had developed the rudimentary outline that would allow him to get close to the students, though whether or not he would be successful only time would tell.

Dawn loved Kim, more so than anyone else. She is sure that Sondra is jealous of Kim and herself. Dawn replied to Kim's kiss by kissing back passionately. Dawn stepped back a little and puts her hands on Kim's shoulders and replied, "Kim, I love you and I know you know that...but I can't afford to put you in danger. If that happens I won't forgive myself, plus I know Evy is on my side...I think."

Before she could finish her sentence though, something triggered inside her head, and alarms started ringing in her head. It quickly caught her attention, Dawn took a very fast look around the gym, and Kim by now should have noticed Dawn looking around the gym. It shouldn’t be more than a coincidence, it has happened before, especially to things she can’t see. Dawn whispered quietly, "There, is something here, I am getting a very bad feeling about this. Keep an eye out Kim you should know by now I am almost always right about things like this, I can’t say how I know I just…know"

This shouldn’t be more than coincidence, if they were happen to be together, something must have seen Kim and herself together. Why can’t things just be normal? Who ever seen them together, must have seen her practice using Pi Qua Quan. She has to be more careful with what and where she is doing it in. Dawn has to put Kim first though, and at the moment her safety is again first, maybe they should continue this in their own dorm.

I blinked as I notice Dawn looking around again "Dawn what's wrong you've been looking around here ever since I saw you today." I say with puzzled look on my face as I looked at her I didn't know what it was but after being in this place for so long I know it wasn't good as I got into a fighting stance and looked around "do you think its a monster?"

Too late to draw his node out of there, while it was small and went unnoticed its presence could still be detected. Aegir let his senses flow outward through the node itself figuring that now if ever there was a time for it the girls would flee. They did not do so initially weariness causing them to take in their surroundings with caution. He credited them both for that. It showed that they were not frightened as easily as gizelle bolting at the first sign of a lioness only to rush head long into another that had been waiting to spring upon them when the first flushed the herd out towards it. They were sensible and kept their heads upon their shoulders either through wit, experience or both.

Through the node he heard their conversation as clearly as if he had been their in the gymnasium with them. So the matter of flight did cross their minds yet they instinctively prepared for a fight. Now this was where things were bound to get a little complicated. He didn't like being outnumbered though with his node present he supposed the odds were even not that the half-dollar sized creature could really do much. Alright, so two against one. Not bad odds given that the inhibitors swung things in his favor in psionic contests, and physically he should have been capable of dominating the two. He could not be absolutely sure though. Yeah, he had dealings with Dawn before but Kim was a wild card. He had not learned what she was capable of for as he found out even with the inhibitors in place electricity had been quite a nuisance to him.

What if she could draw upon some power he was unaware of? Aegir liked to be thorough with such matters before making any move whatsoever. One, it lent to living a longer life devoid of unnecessary pain. Two, well it just made that much more sense learning all you could about the people you were going to be interacting with just to avoid any surprises from popping up.

So with that in mind he directed his node to pry into Kim's mind, syphoning through her memories, pulling upon her thoughts and delving into her past. His body hasted itself as much as his physical form would allow, which had not been saying much in and of itself. He moved like a tortoise, his tentacles stretching out to draw himself across the hard rocky ground. At last he could see the outer doors to the gym which were probably locked at this hour. It would do him little good in entering through them or the window a good 10' from the ground. The girls were likely to flee through the interior doors back through the school though failing that their only real option was to duck into the locker rooms though he knew that the locker room and adjoining showers were a dead end. Barring an equipment room that housed the school's sports equipment there had not been an escape route out back that way, at least not one that he was aware of.

New plan ... he came upon the door and locked it using a lacross stick that he had gathered up in route across the sports field that someone had carelessly left out. Jamming it into the handles of the door he ensured that they could not use the outer doors to escape. His entrance point was going to be the window, slightly ajared it was opened enough to admit his boneless body for he could squeeze through the opening with the utmost ease.

Scaling the wall was easy enough given the suction cups upon half of his tentacles gripping the smooth surface had been easy. Grip and pull, reach, grip, pull, rinse and repeat. It was slow going but he was in no rush especially since he had his node atop of things on the inside. His compound mind allowed him to multitask so directing the node was no big deal. It was still working upon Kim trying to determine how much of a threat she was going to be while it kept itself opened to Aegir's manipulations. Aegir was channeling his telekinetic powers through it to seize hold of the internal doors holding them fast so that they could not be opened effectively caging the two ...

Dawn keeps on looking around, she has been getting a very bad feeling since her “6th” sense started acting up. It was a warning, and she kind of has an idea of what might be going on. It wasn’t until she got some flash memories that surged through her head, causing her some pain. So while holding her head, the images were that of the monster that is able to read minds. She doesn’t know her name, during all of what happened, she has come to know how he works and usually it is a bad thing.

The images gave her well more than the information she needed to know what she was up against. The pain was still there from the flash memories, but at least she knows what to do now. So while holding her head, Dawn spoke, "W-wait…I…I…know who it is…", still trying to get her composure back, she whispered quietly to Kim, "He can read minds…try and not think about anything…if I know what he is trying to do, the first is…trying to read our minds." While still looking around, Dawn has to figure by now he, probably already has a plan in mind, that being said she has no clue what that plan is. So…what in blazes is he thinking to do this time?

Dawn knows Kim and herself can’t fight this thing, from what she can remember, he was like a jellyfish, punching it won’t work, only something else, fire maybe, electricity is probably the best, but there in a gym, how the hell would they get something like that? Now that she knows they can’t get something like that, they will have to out think it somehow. "Kim, listen, this thing is smart, we won’t be able to fight it, I’m going to also guess he already has us cornered somehow." She has to think somehow, if she knows he is reading her mind, she has to somehow take what she did last time and make it work again this time. How though? She has to keep Kim’s safety in mind, then again if he knows that already he would use Kim against her somehow. Damn It!

as Dawn spoke to me about this monster I smirked "don't worry if this thing dare tries to go in my mind he's going to get a little surprise that surprise of course was Evy was inside my mind and could notice the un invited gust in my mind as she yells out "BUZZ OFF YOU FREAK!"


I could still feel my head hurt tho as I hold it "im guessing he has us trap in here..." I had to protect Dawn no matter what but first I had to come up with a plan "so you met this monster before how did you fight him off the first time?"

His node was running up against static, his poor poor child was just too inexperienced to deal with much resistance. Aegir on the other hand had been more seasoned in such matters. He tapped into what his node felt and picked up the dual strain of the young women just feet beyond this wall. Dawn's thoughts were tactical then disjoined as pain flashed through her head. While Kim's seemed to be more strained ... ah, she was struggling to maintain her mental defenses. How sweet to be thought of. No doubt he was expected and thus he would not let his audience linger for long. Sticking to his original plan he channeled his telekinesis through his node to secure the inner doors of the gym, his body continuing to scale the wall with a steady progression.

You should have taken me up on my offer of teaching you Dawn, those flashes are still so crippling. How do you expect to fight against them and protect your beloved?

Aegir's telepathic words spoke into their minds. There was no sense masking his presence now given that his node had given him away. A mauve head far larger than the slightly ajar window appeared in view. He pushed his face against the crack, his skin stretching, contorting, virtually oozing in beneath the window pane, a tentacle dangling in before him, then another, followed by his face. It was slow progress and probably more than a bit disgusting to watch something of his size compress himself to fit through all of a 2" crack but given his elevation above the floor of the gym he did not worry about an immediate attack being launched against him.

Wondering how long they could keep up their defenses Aegir pressed into their minds. For Kim it was a distraction that was meant to slowly eat away at her resolve without exerting much effort upon his own part. He was trying to force her to expend more energy to maintain her defenses against his mental probes than it was worth. For Dawn, well he knew full well what her flashes did to her and thus pressing into her mind was a means for him to trigger those flashes as she tried to defend herself from them. Knowledge is what he sought, knowledge while incapacatiatin the pair served as an additional tactical benefit. His mauve body began to slither down the wall now that his head had passed beneath the window pane. Once the remainder of his body had passed beneath the pane he would simply drop to the floor knowing that the fall would not serve to harm him overly much.

I knew it, I just KNEW it was him, he was the only thing that can possibly be this tactical and precise. She had to warn Kim, "Kim, I think it might be good if you let, Evy take over when you feel it is necessary, this monster is as cunning as they come." Dawn stared at the front entrance, just waiting as her headache subsided, then stood in front of Kim in a protective fashion of sorts. She knows they were cornered, there was no way to hide, until the door slowly opened, and he finally showed himself.

Dawn smirked and asked, "Hmm couldn’t help you to keep tabs on me I see, are you that disgruntled after I beat you in the challenge? You won’t get to Kim, not if I am standing here." After finishing talking, Dawn gently pushed Kim back a little, and whispered quietly, "I gave him a challenge, after he drove me out, trying to pretend to be you. I won the challenge." Dawn smiled at that, she actually won, but he didn’t exactly give her time to rest before giving herself the challenge.

If Dawn knows what he is going to do, he will try to get something to get to Kim, since he knows full well how important Kim is to her. If that would to happen she wouldn’t find a way out of this problem that suddenly happens. "Kim, don’t let him get to you, don’t let him probe your mind or else he will find a way to get to both of us somehow."

I looked at Dawn and smiled "don't worry Evy is trying to fight it off the best she can so im sure he'll have a hard time trying to get into my mind." I say with a grin tho I was in pain my head was almost pounding as I hear Evy's voice


"I'll hold him off as much as I can just to warn you this may hurt a little sorry."


I didn't mind that I could handle the pain at least I hope as I look at Dawn


"wait he pretend to be me??" I ask before smiling at Dawn "well im glad you could spot the fake so easily... now he really must pay.."
