But then, the black goo reformed itself, tugging the chair into itself, dissolving it metal and all, absorbing it into itself as it reforms, eyestalks glaring daggers at her as it entwines her legs, a bit of the goo rubbing the skinned knee.*

Airi grinned as the blob shrieked. It was the first time she could remember scoring anything like a noticeable hit, so she allowed herself a brief instant of self-congratulations. It was over quickly; the monster, rather than reeling back and perhaps even letting go, reformed and absorbed the chair while it securely snaring her legs, seeming utterly unconcerned by her kicking.

Flinching more at the speed with which the tables turned than from the creature probing her scraped knee, Airi pasted on a winning grin and offered, "You know, you don't have to do this. It's customary on Earth for people with headaches to avoid sex." For all she knew, he was an escaped experiment from a mad scientist or something- she had no idea what these creatures were doing at Shokushu, after all... but maybe he had an interest in human customs? *Those eyestalks just glared at the girl. "Oh? And it's customary to beat your partner with deck chairs too, I suppose? Please...I'm not THAT dumb."
