The blob recoalesced, sitting upon Alison's lap, yellowish eyes blinking as she talked. Oh indeed she worked up a bit of a sweat, and a tentacle reached up to blot her face like a sponge, cool and absorbent. It jiggles like a pudding, providing a much needed sense of companionship only a pet could provide. A cursory glance was given behind, just to make sure that the two of them were perfectly alone. |

I let off a bit of a sigh as my new little friend wiped my face. It was strange that the tentacle was so cool and comforting but, hey I wasn't going to question a good thing. The sun was only just nearly out of the sky, there was no surprise that there were a few students still about, going for evening jogs on the forest path or heading for a late night swim. Still none were paying me any mind so I felt perfectly safe having the little blob on me out in the open. If it had been more crowded I'd have been worried but at this point I honestly felt no one would notice me unless I started to moan at the top of my lungs. So I simply closed my eyes and said a slightly exasperated “Thanks.” to my little helper |
