Busy day, busy day...

Pandora had just moved her mobile realm into the library after her tryst with one of the campus' succulent students, and she was craving for more. Inside the spacious hall of learning, there were many students she could take advantage of, but she was picky, even if she was merely gathering energy, she still had tastes of her own, no miss Jill Average for her, she wanted something exotic, a toy which would entertain her for many hours.

And as if by magic, or a strange chain of coincidences, She saw just the girl she needed. A delightful serving of intellect, a heaping dish of youth, with just a small hint of innocence. Perfect.

Pandora stalked this little dish across the library as the student made her way through the room, swiftly she dashed from one bookshelf to the next, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Coincidence, fate, magic, or something else - So too was what brought Saira into the library. She was actually here to study information on magic, since she had known more than a few monsters to use it or at least be strange enough to only be explained by it. Surely, even with the administration controlling the flow of information, there had to be something, right?

With that in mind, she was probably a ripe target for Pandora, as the darker-skinned girl strode her way towards a deeper portion of the old books collection, seeming to be poking through the shelves very precisely, looking for even the slightest unusual thing...

Flip. Flap. Pandoras wings did beat along with the sound of pages turning, stealthily approaching the dark-skinned delicacy whose gaze was averted to the multitude of ancient tomes that lay before her.

While she scanned, Pandora watched from atop the shelf, assessing if it was worth the effort, and one glance down the girl's deep and tight cleavage assured the little demon queen that it would be worth all of it plus a bag of chips. The box lay on a table at the far side of the bookcase, and given the students speed, they we're going to be here a while before she even notices, so maybe a little something to help things along would be in order.

Pandora flew towards the other side of the bookcase, right behind the book which was on the very end on the shelf second from the bottom. Bracing herself, she pushed with all the strength she held in that foot tall frame of hers, slowly dislodging the book on the other side until it came down on the floor with a mighty "FLOMP!", just a a few feet or so from the table that held the box. This was to be enough, she hoped, else she would have to resort to revealing herself.

((Aah! I didn't describe her outfit! However, your comment about cleavage gives me an idea...))

The book falling gave Saira a sudden jolt of shock, as she sprung into the air a surprising distance with a slightly-suppressed "Eep!" from the noise. Covering her mouth and blushing embarassedly from making noise in a library, the girl made her way over to the book, bending over to pick it up, and calmly shelving it.

For what she was wearing, though, even bending over to do that made her slightly nervous. Ever since her time with Linnis, Saira had been more... ah, daring in her outfits. The medium-tone yellow-orange blouse she wore was rather tight compared to most that she'd have worn - and the slightly-unbuttoned front indeed showed a fair shake of cleavage. Not only that, but the rather short beige skirt she wore with it left little to the imagination and a lot to the wind.

Even so, Saira managed to put away the book without exploding in a cloud of embarrassment, giving her the chance to notice something else entirely. Immediately, a thought of Hey... what's this? sprung up as she spied the small, antique box. She HAD been looking for osmething vaguely occult, and her intuition suggested that this may have been it.

Cautiously, the Egyptian girl slid from one side of the table to the next, glancing at it subtly, trying to pick out details about its construction. Some guesses about the style of its decorations, though, floated into her mind. ...Looks... Greek in origin. But... It's far more ornate than anything I've read about before. Peculiar. Then, perhaps the most frustrating thing (from Pandora's point of view) happened. Saira picked the box up, looking it over carefully, putting another hand on it as if to open it... Lingered for a second... then retracted the other hand, biting her lip slightly. But then she shook it lightly, trying to see if there was anything inside.

"Theres nothing in there!! Open it!!" screamed Pandora in her mind as the girl began what seems to be a thorough examination of her lodgings. Since the box was merely a container in name only, the shaking did little to nothing to Pandoras realm, failing to give substantial result to the student, although to Pandora herself, it was annoying her to no end.

Minutes passed with Pandora crouched atop the bookshelf watching the girl poke and prod every crevice and curve of the ornate container, but showing no signs of examining the insides. "Of all the girls that I chose, I HAD to choose a geek...." cursed the demon under her breath as the wait continued.

Moment after moment, Pandora watched, filled with glee as she saw the girls hand move to the lid, only to be filled with frustration when she deviates to another part. Patience was wearing thin for the demon queen, if the student took any longer, she would have to risk eye contact in order to get the dish into her world.

For a second, that same other hand had one of its fingers pressed to Saira's lips, as if she were in deep thought, or deciding between two different things. Her intuitions were warning her that this may well be a bad idea to even remotely think of... but... on the other hand, Saira mused, the one time not listening to her intuitions put her ahead - learning a lot about the older monster population by going ahead with the midnight robbery plan - was almost worth it enough to justify worse lapses.

You just keep making flimsy justifications., her voice of reason said. And had you not done it that time, you'd also have never been brave enough to meet Linnis, either., she mused back at herself. When it seemed like all of her quiet introspection would have gone far enough to make Pandora take matters into her own hands, though?... What the hell. It can't be that bad. Assuming it IS some secret evil space-defying rape-monster-in-a-box.

Click! Saira popped the box open, curious, but almost setting herself up for being underwhelmed.

There was no hint of anything happening at all, no strong suction, no howling wind, no falling down a deep bottomless pit, once the seal was released, the lid flew open and everything went black, a magical slumber forcing itself upon the student as she disappears in the blink of an eye. In the real world, the pace of things carries on as if nothing ever happened, the box quietly laying on the table which was previously occupied by a curious Egyptian girl, the metal seal locking in place, a sign that the contents of the box do not want to be disturbed.

Silence, a deep soul-wrenching silence enveloped the girl as she slept, until a loud "THUMP" broke through the soundless veil, then another, and another.

Once the girl wakes, she would find herself having fallen asleep on the table, the box nowhere to be found, but almost everything else in its proper place, with the sun setting on the horizon, and not a soul to be seen... Save for this girl with short, almost platinum blond hair picking out books seemingly at random from the shelves nearby and throwing them on the table in a haphazard manner. She seemed almost human, but the leathery wings sprouting for her back and the sides of her head most certainly said otherwise, as well as those black eyes adorned with bright yellow pupils.

"I can never guess why you fleshlings value all this gibberish so much.."

At first blush, Saira felt... unsurprised. Not happy about it, but unsurprised. The voice of reason definitely would have told her so, but... she already knew. As it were. But then, becoming fully conscious of the library as she sat up, Saira blinked slightly. Maybe... she hadn't quite made a mis-

Then the woman talked.

Immediately Saira turned her head to see her, regarding the hair with some but not too much interest - she had seen more exotic haircolors on-campus, like a living anime - but... Her eyes settled on the leathery wings. The chance of it being a rogue cosplayer or just downright silly girl was low. Then again, before she went to school here, the chance of it being an actual demon of some sort was... inconceivable. But given the fact that this was connected to her having opened the box in the timeline? It was becoming more and more likely. With a surprisingly neutral look on her face and tone of voice, Saira responded, crossing her arms.

"You either can't read, live too long to understand the use of preserving knowledge, or just don't care. That answer your rhetorical question?"

You're being unusually snarky to an evil-rape-monster-in-a-box. If that's what she is. Saira chided herself. Maybe she was getting jaded. Maybe the demon-girl just wasn't looking very intimidating. Whatever the case, Saira stood there, long black hair and violet eyes almost playing total color-wheel opposites to the other girl present.

"So...?"

"Well you got two out of three correct....."

Pandora replied without so much as giving a sideways glance to her guest, still picking out, scanning and throwing books onto the table in a seemingly random fashion. Upon closer examination, though, the books seem to be all about or related to mythical creatures.

"You would have to think anything with half a brain and 20/20 vision should be able to read. Give a Cyclops reading glasses and im sure he'll be preaching to you about Plato in a matter of months."

She threw one last book onto the table before putting her hands on her hips and and nodding.

"That should be enough."

She walked on over to the seat next to Saira, stretching her purple wings out as she sat down next to the student. Pandora then motioned her hand towards the scattered book pile and at once the books ordered themselves into several neat piles along the wooden surface. Resting her elbows on the table, Pandora then looked to the dark-skinned student with a curious expression.

"So tell me Saira, why are you so interested in all this ancient history? and yes, I know your name, and yes, you we're being snarky..."

Saira didn't even miss a beat with the revelation of telepathy. After her experience with Antipode, she at least had some practice with it. Though it wasn't exactly perfectly easy to not think of things you'd rather they not know... Whatever. Questions need answers. Saira sat calmly, strangely calmly...

"Ah! A telepath. I see... Well then. History? I... it interests me. I like to see how society is constructed and such, so ancient history is that much farther back in the process - knowing the origin point allows the present to be better understood, no? You seem awfully curious."

"Lets just say I like to play with my food...."

Pandora flashed a wide mischievous grin toward Saira, revealing the pearly whites and the attached fangs she bore.

"And please, dont mistake that little trick for something as simple as telepathy..."

Pandora had all the time in the world, in fact, this WAS her world, so she can afford to dilly dally begore doing anything remotely sexual to her guest... but that mean she will...

"So, miss would-be historian, if your that interested in ancient civilizations, perhaps you'd like to meet a sort of expert on the matter..."

All of a sudden, a sudden shuffling came from the back of the shelves, what seemed like heavy footsteps padding towards the pair, closer and closer till its form appeared from behind the bookcase.

The jackal headed being with skin blacker than coal presented itself to them, what was to be its legs were the hindquarters of a canine, while its upperbody was that of a muscular human.

"Anubis, Saira. Saira, Anubis. Say hi Anubis..."

Anubis growled.... and at once made a beeline for Saira, growling furiously.

One thing Saira knew was this - no matter what, if it was bigger than you, angry, and charging? You should probably not stick around to see what it was up to. With a sudden scream of shock, the girl immediately ran to the side, trying to make her way into the bookshelves, trying to make this a maze run - not that she had a clear exit plan yet.

While she didn't say anything, Saira consciously knew that this was probably all part of the demon-girl's plan, and it... it could work. Which is what scared her, since a monster like that could cause a lot of damage! Her skirt flapped madly in the breeze kicked up by her running, exposing... a lot more than she would've wanted, given the circumstances. With luck, the girl could make it far enough ahead of the monster to be able to weave through and lose the trail - a little, it wasn't exactly a huge library.

But she had ideas...

Anubis, large fellow that he is, was surprisingly agile for a half-jackal, half-man god person. He was on Saira's tail from the get go and was already catching up to the girl as she ran. The beings vicious growls echoed through the library as it chased down the student through the shelves. Closer did it come, its heavy strides shaking the floor as it made up ground.

All seemed lost, until they turned this one narrow corner. The large creature lunged for Saira with one hand, managing to catch a good portion of her skirt's rear before jamming itself between the wall and the heavy bookcase. Stuck. It struggled to free itself but this caused one of the shelves behind it to collapse onto him, further aggravating his situation.

The she demon was nowhere to be seen, and that was to be a good thing in Saira's mind as she quickly put distance between her and the now more furious Anubis. No sooner had she disappeared from view, though, did the jackal god rectify his situation by rending the shelves to splinters. Now the chase had turned into a hunt, with Anubis as the hunter, and Saira the hunted.

Relief from having lost the monster underneath a shelf was nothing but a cruel, fleeting happiness. As soon as Saira turned around, trying to think of an escape plan, she was forced to shield herself from a rain of wood splinters. Then... the hunt began anew. She could sense that this Anubis - if it was the real Anubis - was not going to stop, or give up, or even remotely give her a break. No, he wasn't going to stop until he... he...

Saira didn't want to think about it. In the spirit of that, she got to running again, weaving between some shelves with her legs pumping as fast as they could, running on sheer adrenaline. There was an impressive view of her hips in the process. and her breasts practically heaved up and down during the escape. If the half-jackal was even slightly as horny as Saira feared he was, it'd be a good show. But... now was not the time for this.

A time that, sadly, had run out. Saira had by now abandoned her initial plan - to try to make him lose her trail so she could kill him with falling bookshelves - and was instead frantically looking for an exit. Faithful as Pandora's recreation of the library was, it didn't bother to imitate a detail the Egyptian girl thought very important right now. Namely, doors that actually opened out to the hallway.

What felt like an eternity of desperately fumbling with the useless doorhandle, kicking at the door, screaming in terror... Gave way to something else entirely. The thump of Anubis's footsteps. Somewhere at that exact moment, the girl knew she wasn't going to be able to get through. Shaking in fear, she turned to face him, wide-eyed, her mouth gaping open in shock. And she slid down, glistening sweaty legs splaying out haphazardly onto the floor... Waiting for either a chance, or for the inevitable...

Closer and closer did the large being step, a raging erection visible as the loincloth tents over the pulsing member. 10 feet, 6 feet, 3 feet, already its hot breath started to shower her face with its sulfuric smell, and just as it lunged.

The library door opened.

Saira fell backwards, causing her roll down a shallow grade slope that, if she weren't so much in a panic, she would have sworn wasn't there, coming to a halt when she hit a rather solid object. As a certain girl with a dog would say, 'I think we aren't in Kansas anymore', and it surely didn't look like she was in the school anymore. The room was made of ancient stone and torch-lit, in the middle of the room was the thing that stopped her tumble; A stone altar, and along its sides were jars containing a thick, black liquid. The walls were riddled with hieroglyphics, while sarcophagi lay vertical to each other along the sides of room. The door she came from was no longer there, replaced by a large stone door upon which the carving of Anubis was placed.

"Now now, you didn't think you could have sex with an Egyptian god without being properly prepared first, we're you?"

Pandora appeared at the head of the stone table, dressed in ancient Egyptian garbs, with matching eye shadow to boot. With little warning, Linen bandages sprung from the corners of the altar, capturing each of Saira's limbs and lifting her onto itself, her arms and legs pulled towards the corners.

"The bride of Anubis has been chosen, let the ceremony commence!"
