31088 had waited for an incredibly long time.

The infected host had secreted itself in the crawl-space that ran past one of the older classrooms. From it's vantage point it had discovered a small vent that allowed it to view the contents of the room. A buffet of students, all helpless and ready to be taken. In that instant the virus had almost decided to tear through the wall and take all of the girls at once. Upon thinking about it further, the virus decided that it would probably be a lot easier to catch each one alone. A lot easier, and a lot more fun.

It waited until the classes had finished and all of the students had left before it began to manouevre. Pulling the vent free, the host slipped through the small hole, taking on the consistency of some horrible ooze. Once it had flopped out onto the floor, it began to take its shape again: The red-haired feminine humanoid creature. Taking a look around the darkened classroom, it spied a thin pencil case left on one of the tables furthest from the door. One of the students had left something here. Would that mean she would be returning?

31088 formulated its plan. Slinking to the classroom door it broke the lock from the inside, making it possible for the student to enter the room if she came back. Once that had been done, the host side-stepped, placing itself directly next to the entrance. Once the student entered, she wouldn't see the host until she was already deep inside the classroom, and by that point it would be much, much too late.
