Post The natural habitat of the bibliophile (Alucard).
It was getting late, and Pia was still in the library. Having been something of a homebody for much of her life, she found it hard to adapt to this new place. The last couple of days had been fun, yes, but also exhausting and kind of scary. Even wearing an uniform was new to her. She wanted something familiar, something comfortable.

Back home, her small bedroom had been her refugee and castle, filled with books, comics and her stuff. Here she had discovered that nothing feels so strange as an unfamiliar bed.
A library, on the other hand, was home to her regardless of where it was, so it was not unnatural for her to seek it out. And it was not like she had no reason to be here. Pia firmly believed in reading up as much as possible early in the semester, so she could slack of and devote more time to her other interests later.

Pia was quite enjoying herself. At times she was jotting down notes in her little notebook (amidst a sea of doodles). She had decided to braid her hair in two short braids today, and when reading, she would play with them, or maybe suck on the blunt end her pencil, letting in slowly slide between her lips.

A sound like a door being closed startled her, making her almost jump off her chair.
OH NO! I forgot the time! They must be locking the place up!
Panicking, Pia started to gather her belongings together, accidentally spilling a couple of books on the floor. Bending over, she starts picking them up.

Alucard had slipped into the library, keeping an eye out for any tasty-looking students. The alien took care to maintain its camouflage as it did so; while it wasn't perfect invisibility, it was often more than enough to sneak up on a nubile young woman.

Alucard eyed the new student from behind with interest. Her very presence was making the alien hungry; she certainly did look quite the treat. The alien watched her read and doodle and take notes for a bit.

Alucard then heard a door close, and grinned as its prey jumped. Keeping its eyes on her, the alien took in a rather enjoyable sight as she bent over to retrieve her books. Alucard extended a single massive finger in her direction and gave her a little push, just enough to unbalance the student, before returning to its original position.

“Yikes!”
A slight push was enough to make Pia tip over, arms flailing, leaving her sprawled on the floor with her face at floor level and her rear in the air.

Did someone just push her? Pia tried to simultaneously scrabble for her glasses, who had fallen off in the fall, and looking around for whomever had bumped into her. Between her poor eyesight and the camouflage powers of the monster, she saw nothing. Had she imagined it all? Or maybe she was the victim of some prank.
“Hello? Uh.. err.. A-anyone there?”

A blur moved amonst the blurs - or was it just a trick of the light? Alucard had picked up the student's spectacles, and while poor Pia was groping for her glasses, Alucard was examining them with interest. Feeling just a little cruel, Alucard reached up to the top of a bookshelf and gently set the young woman's glasses there.

Alucard still did not lower its camouflage, unsure of exactly how bad her vision really was. The alien continued to watch the student, its smile twisting with sadistic delight.

Pias eyesight was bad, but not crippling, at most times. She could usually identify a familiar figure at a distance, even if she couldn't discern individual features.
But against a creature with such advanced hiding techniques, she was totally helpless.
She did sense some of its movements, however.
Slowly standing up, she tried scanning the room with squinting eyes, looking right past the creature.
“O-ok.. This is what I'll do.. get out, go to my room, find my spares and come back to look tomorrow..”. Pia was getting visibly nervous.
Grabbing her bag, but forgetting the books , she started walking slowly away, towards the hidden creature.

The alien resisted the urge to laugh as she walked right in its direction. Alucard reached forward and gave the student another one-fingered push, causing her to land on the carpeted floor butt-first. The alien then placed its massive hand atop her small body, pinning the young woman in place.

"Ouch!", Pia exlaimed as she fell on her rear. This time, something had definitedly touched her.
Bewildered and more than a bit frightened, she was about to get up and make a dash for the door, just to find a great, unseen force pushing her down. Some shadowy.. mass was upon her!
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!". Pia let out a long, high pitched scream. Panicking, she started to wiggle like a fish on land, trying to get up.

Alucard licked its lips as the student wriggled about beneath its hand. Luckily for the alien, no one had heard the scream. "Shhhhh!" Alucard shushed her, using her own voice to do so, "Don't you know you're not supposed to scream in a library?"

Hearing the familliar voice berate her made Pia freeze. Was it her own voice she heard? Was she going insane? And was there something large and transparent pushing against her? She must be mistaken.

"W-w-who is this?", Pia said, her voice unsteady from the fear.
"Help me, please!"

"I must reiterate," Alucard said, whispering in Pia's voice, "not so loud!"

The alien leaned in closer. "They might hear you." The alien loosens its grip, just a little. Its huge yellow eyes began to glow dimly through its camouflage.

"S-sorry!" Pia answered in a hushed voice. "Who are They? Who are you? What are you?"
Was she going insane? Was she having a nightmare? Was there really something here?

Even with Pias bad eyesight, the pair of yellow eyes were hard to miss. She gasped in shock, but did not scream.
Upon feeling the pressure on her lighten somewhat, she resumed her squirming a little, but managed to move only a few inches and achieving little exept pushing the top of her blouse up above her midriff.

Alucard smiled at the woman's confusion. "Why, the monsters, of course!" The alien leaned in a little closer. "They're all over the island, you see, the monsters are. They're after girls like you."

"Monsters? What kind of monsters?", Pia asked, "I don`t even believe in monsters! And why do you talk like me?"
"A-and why are they looking for girls like me", she added in a small and scared voice.

"All kinds of monsters," Alucard replied, "demons, aliens, science experiments gone wrong... and it's best you start believing in them. They're quite real."

The massive hand suddenly wrapped its fingers around her, hoisting her into the air. "And the reason they're after nubile women such as yourself? Well, let me put it another way... have you seen any ugly girls on the island?"

Pia forced herself to stop kicking uselessly in the air.
The comment this strange.. entity made about nubile girls made her feel terribly vulnerable, imagining all sorts of unseen creatures staring at her with lewd and hungry eyes, peeking up her skirt and contemplating foul deeds.

But why are you telling me this? You are here to warn me, right? Like, like a guardian angel, just.. just a really scary one? Right???” Pia's babbling was part hopeful and part desperate.
She really had a sinking feeling about this..
