Hanging in the hidden shadowy rafters of Shokushu Campus's library, was not a bat, not a bird at roost, nor was it a lamp or a support beam, or even dust mites. (Well, perhaps dust mites) More noticably than the dust mites, however, was an upside down demonic mastermind! Well, thats what he was thinking himself as, anyway. He seemed to be reading a book, whilst hanging upside-down, supported by his tail and several of his tendrils. He was hanging onto an overhanging metal girder, that seemed to have little structural reason to be there. Once again, they make it too easy.

The demon wasn't reading said book, however, he was actually writing it. Well..kind of. He would place one hand on each page, muttur something, then the page would glow for a moment and he would do the next one. It was a tedious process, but he had little better to do, besides...this book would soon be the perfect lure, for any unsuspecting young student. His target today, however, was one of the many little bookworms down there, scuttling about the carpeted floor way down beneath him. Most of them tended to be quite attractive, and he had recently decided that he had overlooked most of the library's regulars. He trained one eye on the door.

Next pretty little girl to walk in is my target. He decided, oh how lucky they would be...

NIsha smiled as she strode down the hallway. She always loved this time of the day... no classes in the afternoon. no p.e. and most of all the rest of the afternoon doing whatever she wanted.

She pushed through the huge doors leading to the library. Ever since she was attacked on her first week she decided to stay indoors this time.... or atleast try too. True she loved the outside but still, you can never be sorry.

She walked past the doors with a small smile.

The demons eyes slowly followed the first young woman to walk through, He squinted...he had never quite seen her before, he was sure he would remember such a distinct pair of glasses. He looked up at his book and smirked slightly as he pressed his glowing hand to the last page. Closing it, his tendrils pulled him up, so he was standing on the steel girder.

He calmly started to walk along the beam, following the woman, roughly 40 feet above her little head. All he needed was to get this book into her possession, then watch the show as it unfolded. The book was intriguing to look at, what with its faded red silk cover, the gold-leaf edged pages, and the almost sci-fi sounding title, the flowing cursive sewn onto the silk, a bright gold color. The Tome of the Future It would catch any book fancier's interest, at least enough to read the first paragraph, which would leave them utterly hooked.

He was hoping she would sit somewhere quiet, away from the other students, though, either way, she would be his.

She lookd at a pair of girls who were gigling and sighed. She hated getting distracted. She immedietly made a beeline for her favorite section... fiction.

Picking a novel she chose a spot away from the other student... not wanting to be interruped, sat down and opened the book.

The demon smirked and watched her as she made her way deeper into the library. Past several long aisles and into the fiction section. He looked up and switched onto a crossbeam, making his way to the fiction section. The book tucked in his hands, he felt like an angler. He had his bait, he could see the fish, now he just had to put the bait out and reel her in.

What better way to get her attention? He was right above her, and spent a few moments looking down her shirt lecherously. Then he dropped the book, watching as it tumbled down and landed in front of her, its cover facing her. The book seemed to call to her, all the vibrant colors, it was like the book had chosen her.

He stood on the beam in the darkness, watching, feeling like he would eventually get a crick in his neck from looking down so much.

She almost svcreamed, but thankfully she caught herself in time and covered her mouth.

"of all the nerve..." she hissed. Looking at the book indignantly. The she l;ookd up, squinted her blue and gold eyes (courtesy of the contact lenses). She didnt see anything.

"probably a rat or a mischivious studernt placed it up there..." she sighed before lokking at the book. She never seen this book before. In curiousity she pulled it to her and opened it.

As Nisha opened the book it seemed like the pages were empty. There was no print, but it was odd, the book looked well-read. The pages were dog-eared, and there were stains on some pages. After a few moments, a cut appeared on her finger. Seemed like the old book was still prone to give papercuts. As the blood dripped onto the page, however, the book became warm, the air around the girl seemed to become heavy and still.

The blood droplets on the page started to move by themselves, swirling around the page and forming into a neat handwriting. The words slowly appeared, making a neat, small paragraph.

It was somewhat difficult to read, but careful study could render what the book was saying...

You have opened this book and with it become one, Nisha, the answers to your future await within these pages, but warned be you, for with great knowledge comes a great price. Do you wish to know what the future holds?

Crush layed on the girder and closed his eyes, the best part about fishing was letting the rod do the work for you.

She shook her head. Dang this place was really really weird.

"na couldnt be..." she said softly staring at the pages. She started to close the book but an incredible curiosity overcame her. The same curiosity that her father warbned against her.

"well its not like anyone else is reading it..." she reasoned fliping the page

Once again the pages were blank, words soon swirled and filled the pages in a similar manner to the first time, however...
Your thirst for knowledge has come at good timing, for otherwise, you would have been dead within the next three minutes. Get out of this section now, for a terrible accident is awaiting to happen

Crush leaned his head over and grinned at the wonderful angle he had, with a nice view down his prey's top.Her breasts look big from all the way up here, so they must be huge up close! As he pondered this over, he noticed a rather mousy looking woman re-stocking the shelves from a cart. Hmm, I suppose the librarian is off-limits...shame, she is quite fit.. He looked back down to the girl, smirking dizzly at the wonderful view of her clevage again.

She shook her head and laughed nervously.

"what accident can happen in this place..." she wondered out loud. With a soft chuckle to push away her fears she closed the book and pushed it to the side, still a little shaken up.
