The shadow that was Ilixia dozed, languidly atop the shelves in the library, nothing but shadow unseen by all, dozing upon the books physics, chemistry, she had been... Studying, grinning at the many mistakes these humans had made in the understanding of the world around them. The falacies they believed as gospel truth, they knew nothing, less than nothing, and believed only lies. Magic thrown aside, carelessly assigned to "Fantasy" she would have laughed, had she not been so concerned with her concealment, pathetic... it truly was... unimaginative to say the least... Perhaps, in a few Eons, she could show them that they had been wrong, she could prove that their... technology, was nothing but toys... no matter how much they could do, could they travel the stars? No, could they live for eternity and beyond? No... Humans, such a strange species... An amused feeling as she cast non existent eyes downwards, searching, she was fuller than she had ever been already... however, that did not mean that she was sated, she was never filled... And so she browsed those in the library, spreading her mind out to brush against those that had joined her, in the library... this could be fun... She loved this type, the intelligent ones... hell... she was not adverse to having an intellectual discussion with her prey, before, or after feeding, or in this case... playing... but who would come? would it be one she knew? or someone new... |
