Post Bunnies & Spiders (for Kumo Thuy)
It was quite natural to find girls to be absolutely squeamish...and Persephone found this exceptionally true in Shokushu. Everywhere she went there was high pitched screaming or squealing, followed by the sounds of sneakers tearing ass out of a room or away from some horrible monster. Of course, it usually was some horrible monstrosity (with variable numbers in appendage, wings, paws, whatever have you) trying to get fresh with a student, but there were times for rational fear (in cases of getting raped in various and wrong ways) and irrational fear...

...personally, Seph could do without the irrational kind.

The kind she was getting pissed off about was the way some of her class mates were squealing over a tiny spider, screaming about how somebody should kill it. Seph being made of much stronger stuff than most girls (and yet, somehow remained unjaded in many ways) just went over to the poor little arachnid and let it crawl onto her hand without a fuss. Sure, it tickled like almighty hell, but it wasn't as if it was going to eat her. And then she left the class in the hopes of finding a safe spot outside to let it loose again.

Poor thing...it must have been scared to death, she thought with sympathy a she entered the woods near her secret garden full of singing flowers courtesy of a fellow named Keemari. Thinking the spider would have a nice home in her garden she allowed the little thing to slide its way down onto one of her flowers before scuttling off. She smiled and giggled softly.

"How cute..."

Yes, Seph wasn't the kind to get scared over nothing. Little did she know that she might have a reason to freak out over spiders after all....

Persephone was busy tending her singing garden (the flowers were rather happy to see their 'mother' again after a bit of an absence) when she heard a voice behind her, surprising her so bad she jumped a meter high from the spot where she crouched on the ground. She let out a yelp and turned around, expecting a laughing student, but came face-to-face with Kumo Thuy instead.

Now, most girls would be screaming and running in the opposite direction by now, but Seph being Seph was used to seeing strange things on the island and seeing the hybrid before was a bit of a surprise, but not at all repulsive.

After all, it wasn't as if Persephone was afraid of spiders--big or small. Even ones with half the body of a human girl up top...

"Um...hi," the pink-haired girl replied, somewhat awkwardly. "Things are doing good." She studiied the other person in the clearing where she made her garden, curious. "You know...you have very pretty eyes..."
