Re: A Dance for the Lost (Ico x Mirela)
Oho. This one was lively... perfect. "Because you ran, of course. If something runs, should it not be chased?" His walking stopped... he let her stay at that point. He wasn't interested in starting her into leaving, maybe... or he had something else planned entirely.
"When you were talking... about your unique appearance... was it a lie? A British, blonde father?" His eyes were focused on her, piercing, searching, as he smiled. He was like a cat that ate the canary... and that could only mean bad things for her.
But now... she saw them. White, long serpents... no, not serpents. Some sort of tentacles, sliding through the sand. They were long... ten feet at least, and a couple inches thick... far too big to be local snakes. They were white, with a smooth, slick texture, like scales on a serpent... not slimy, but sinuous and strange, and slithering through the sand of the beach. Maybe, there were five or six... and they had circled around towards her, some even behind her, just a few feet away. The rest were on her left, slowly slithering towards her from the path, circling around to get in front of her as well...

"No. A normal person would just let another person go if they ran away. But I guess you wouldn't qualify as normal and I'm starting to think that you want me for something other then talking." Finally he stopped moving towards her but was it to keep her from running or did he have something entirely different planned?
"Why would it be a lie? I have no reason to lie to you, especially about something like that." It was then that she saw what had pushed her into moving away from the menacing, yet whimsical alien. Long, white appendages slithering through the sand almost as if they were serpents...no, not serpents, they looked more like some sort of tentacle. Five or six of them and they were beginning to circle around her some to the left and some behind while others were coming from the side toward the forest trying to complete a circle of devious appendages.
Now her only choice was forward into the odd alien's grasp or backwards into the trap set by those tentacles.... It took only a moment before she bolted forwards with the thought if she could manage to get away from the tentacles and move quickly enough she could get by the whimsical alien and away into the forest...

Re: A Dance for the Lost (Ico x Mirela)
"Oh... people lie all the time. To themselves, to others..." His eyes were glinting in amusement as he watches her, curiosity still tickling the edges of his thoughts. He never answered her accusation... he didn't need to. His whimsical reasoning would let him chase her regardless of purpose, but in this case there certainly was one.
More than one. He wanted to explore them all, to learn and take all that he could. But... if he waited too long, the fun could certainly be stolen by another... most monsters had at least the decency to leave an occupied hunter alone, but that wasn't always the case. The tentacles began to surround her, now visible to her eyes...
Then, the drawing tension finally snapped. The beautiful woman bolted, dashing away from the dangerous tentacles and towards him.
It wasn't surprising. He was the least imposing, the least dangerous-seeming. The tentacles were lengthy, too, and even if she somehow was able to leap over them, one could easily snare her ankle before she escaped. Her direction was obvious... easy for him to anticipate.
Instead of a drastic action, snaring her with one of his own tentacles or something more, he sought out a last little tidbit. A test, a trial.
Timing and position needed to be precise. Perfect. He was ready for her sudden bolt, but precious seconds were used, hearing her steps, feeling her movements, running, timing. Which foot was forwards at each step, where each step fell. Surprisingly, he simply began to step forwards, towards her and around her, as if trying to move past. As she ran towards him, he stepped forwards and right, letting her pass on his left.
It was something he was only able to accomplish with considerable practice and patience. But he'd never had to use it 'live' before, not like this. She was able to run past, his step actually coming towards her, but also avoiding her. She passed him, her foot landing beside him as she began to bolt away... to freedom!
The distance of his own step, the timing, was deliberate. It couldn't be when she was secure in her step, in her weight and balance. It was as she was beginning to lean forwards, one leg landing, her other trying to rise. Her foot nearest him, on her left, was picking up... and that's when it hit. His step to the right had used, naturally, his right foot. Now his left was rising, the crook of it raised, ready. As she lifted her own left foot, leaning forwards to step, it was caught by his. A sudden pull, tug, out towards him, and suddenly she began to fall to where he was.
He twisted his hips, turning quickly on his right foot, knees bending as he tried to keep her foot hooked now with his ankle, heel turning. His weight couldn't stay up like that; he screwed up the takedown, just a bit. He lurched forwards as his foot fell, slamming into her just as she was lurching towards him, managing to land on her hooked foot before she fell but then colliding solidly into him...

Re: A Dance for the Lost (Ico x Mirela)
It may have been easy to anticipate her choice but she actually thought she was going to get away as she bolted...at least for a moment. "Mark" simply let her pass to his left only stepping forward and seeming to just be moving around the fleeing girl. It was almost as if he was actually going to let her go, and as she got several steps beyond "Mark" she focused solely on escaping so she didn't notice as her foot caught against something. A sudden pull, a tug, and she was suddenly turned around to face him and falling towards him.
She felt her foot being trapped beneath his knee and as she collided into him she fell to the sand, not seeing what happened to "Mark" as the soft sand rubbed against her bronzed skin.

Mark fell... actually, to be precise, he fell towards her. But he tucked his body in as he did, rolling off to the side, hitting the sand with a loud 'thump'. For a moment, her foot was released... but then she felt him on her legs again, hands coming down on her ankles and pulling her along the sand to him easily.
"Tsk... you'd better be careful. You could have hurt yourself." He smirks slowly, in bemusement. It's a startling contrast to that menacing look when his fingers tickle over her toes, but even that was merely for surprise. White tendrils slid out of his sleeves, entwining around her feet and holding them tightly.
"I do like to experiment, little dancer... and you are quite the subject. But... I do suppose a sandy beach, a beautiful sunset, would be a 'romantic', sumptuous repast." His voice was dropping slowly, to a secretive whisper. "So I do beg your pardon... it isn't quite as fitting an environ, but perhaps that's what will make this so interesting?"
"Or..." He says, a hand raising up to run a finger along one of her toned and strong thighs. "I could treat you much more fitting such a place... what do you think?"

Re: A Dance for the Lost (Ico x Mirela)
Face down in the sand as she was she couldn't see how "Mark" landed but for a moment she felt her foot was freed but quickly she felt his hands coming down to her ankles. The sand tickled her bare skin as she was dragged towards him before she tried to look back at him and said "I didn't fall on my own. I think you tripped me."
With his hands around her ankles she couldn't even get a secure hold to push herself away from him before she felt some appendages entwining around her feet and holding them tightly. "An experiment? And what do you mean by "romantic"?" she asked him before his voice dropped to a whisper and as he spoke again she seemed to be even more and more confused.
It was becoming more and more obvious to "Mark" that she was inexperienced, perhaps even a virgin. And as she felt his fingers running along her strong thighs she asked "Where?"

Re: A Dance for the Lost (Ico x Mirela)
"I did trip you..." He confirms at her confused accusation. She was a strange combination of sensual and innocent. It was amusing and infuriating at the same time.
"This beach... it's a romantic place. I'm sure many women would love to have their first time be on a glowing beach, the sun turning red over the water..." Reaching up, he put one of his hands on her flat stomach, feeling the texture of her skin, the tautness of her muscles.
She was terribly lovely. It would be a curse, certainly... but that shouldn't mean she'd let it, and her beautiful dancing, rot. Although, he WAS biased...
Quite so. His eyes glittered with a tinge of lust as his hand strolled up her flat stomach, fingers tracing over her exposed undercleavage, The exposed flesh, from her too-tight sash-top, were bulging out just a bit... he couldn't help but toy with what he saw. All of her was quite the 'meal' to devour...
"Your body... was quite built for sex... so we can start first with the things you seem so well intended for..." Now, a tentacle slid along her thighs, sliding along her naked flesh... they slid further inwards, finding the flimsy cloth protecting her from invasion, and stroking overtop of it.
"We'll see just how much of it you can handle... how much you can withstand. If you have the will it takes to survive here, to thrive here..."
