She was a plucky girl, Davine was, let no one deny that. Not a week after hernotrape, call it surprise sex but it was NOT RAPE! I won't accept that it was!at the hands--er, tentacles--of that shapeshifting demon-monster thing called Sintor, here she was again wandering the school grounds alone. now though, she felt she was a bit wiser than before. Surely a girl jogging through the woods as the sun went down was simply asking to be notraped; I wasn't raped I never wasattacked like that! Surely this old belltower could hold no nasty surprises, right? It looked perfectly innocuous. It was a a stately old thing, fifty stories of cracked rust-red brick. Unlike many belltowers, though, this one was square in shape instead of round. thus it had corners. That was kinda fun, Davine though. Good place to sneak up on the freshmen and scare them, or play hide and seek. A tall staircase wound steadily upward, leading to a tiny platform that was probably for workers. Fascinating.

Having thus sized up her objective, Davine began to climb the steps.

Davine thought it was safe. Davine thought it would be fun. Davine thought climbing the tower was a good idea. Naturally, she was wrong on all of these counts. It wasn't that the tower was well frequented, by monsters or otherwise. The bell tower was in such good repair nobody even bothered to check on it for maintainence, making the palce effectively abandoned. It was also assumed to be locked, so nobody bothered to enter. Unfortunately for the girl now walking up the steps, bursting with the joy of new discovery, this state of desolation was precisely what now made the tower such an unlucky place to be for her.

Natsuki Saika was very much interested in the students of this school. They fascinated her, and set her female heart thumping behind her swelling breasts. Their grace and beauty made her blood race and her face burn. Apart from that, it was her job to keep tabs on them and report on promising individuals, to determine the particular selling value of each and every delectable girl. To that end she sorted, and sampled, and tested them. This tower happened to be one of her tests. Prospective buyers liked youth and beauty yes, but attitude was important as well. Students who were too rude or aggressive were sometimes of poor quality, and worse were those who were too willing. Naivete, inquisitiveness, and vivaciousness were all appreciated. And so Natsuki had weeks before unlocked the door to the tower, knowing it was seldom visited. She had also laced the walls with motion detectors and other monitoring equipment to alert her when the structure was entered. Whichever student went within would be one of special curiousity, a creature with an inquisitive and trusting soul. In short, an excellent product. Now Natsuki was starign at her datapad, alerted to the presence of Davine. Her legs carried her swiftly toward the tower, where she would take her measure of the girl that had fallen into her passive trap.

Hmm...somewhat eerie how quiet it was here. Of course, really Davine ought to have expected that--out-of-the-way as this place was, it was likely to be forgotten or overlooked by all by the most dilligent of exploreres on campus. Still, it seemed sad that the old place ought to sit alone like that for who-knew how long, and apart from all the other buildings. There was another odd quirks of Davine's--she had a habit of anthropomorphizing objects or even buildings. Therefore the tower must be sad, because she herself would be sad to be abandoned like that. Strange creature.

At long last she came to the top of the stairs and pausing for breath. Davine was in decent shape, but it had been quite some time since she'd last climbed that many stairs. As she caught her breath she looked around. Odd..somehow she could've sworn she'd heard someone--footsteps approaching, maybe.

'Just the wind,' the scoffed to herself, tugging open the heavy doors with difficulty and slipping inside.

((Slavery huh? Mmmmmm-mm! Yes please!))

The view from the top made the climb completely worthwhile. The entirety of the campus lay spread out for her enjoyment, like miniature buildings arrayed on a backdrop of green. The bricks shone in the sunlight, and the forest surrounded the idyllic sward in a lush embrace. The sun hung above the quad as though set there by a singular, inspired hand. The wind truly was loud, as she had so idly thought, but that sound of feet on the stairs was not her imagination, but the velvet slippered tread of Natsuki, taking her leisure in traversing the stairs. Wind rushed in through the archway and howled inside the giant brassy bell behind her. Hair whipped across her face.

The scenery inside the room was as impressive as that without. The bell of course dominated the space, but every available inch that was not taken by the platform was dedicated to giant gears of the same color as the ancient, shining bell. The massive cogs sported teeth the thickness of Davine's wrist, and each was festooned with small yellowed notes and blueprints. The particulars of the notes suggested that they belonged to the building crew, which would mean that this place had been left to itself shortly after being built. In between the frayed paper with it's meaningless and incomprehensible drawings were smaller bits of machinery, whirling and clanking in a tumult of dull noise and motion. they made circular furies for every single jerk of the larger gears, spinning like metal dervishes in a neverending rage. As Davine was engaged with her surroundings, Natsuki made her own unassuming entrance. Today she felt like something light, a thin yellow sundress made of cotton. The skirt billowed and rippled around her legs, which were fitfully revealed. Willowy and slender, she walked upon them with an airy smile, the sunlight making her dress all the brighter. The fabric clung to her breasts and hugged her waist, her decolletage set off by the low cut of the garment. Pink lips parted and her violet blue eyes glimmered. "Hello little girl. I see you've found the bell tower. Splendid isn't it."

To one so long used to the sight of the bell--and therefore jaded and innured to it by long familiarity--the tower was perhaps none too impressive within; but to Davine it was nothing short of amazing. She'd never in her life seen machines so huge and intricate, or on so massive a scale. she felt entirely dwarfed and humbled by their size and power. Machines were almost frightening, she decided after a bit of reflection--they had the power to do anything at all they were programmed to do, didn't have weaknesses, couldn't feel pain. If programmed properly it could do some approximation of 'thinking'--running probability scans and numerical analysis and deciding on a course of action and the like--but they had no emotion to attach to it. Thus a robot would feel no remorse for any crime it committed, nor shame. It simply acted, coldly, dispassionately. Like a serial killer.

Shaking herself out of such dark contemplations, Davine studied the notes strewn about on the surfaces of the gears, aged and fading scribbles that suggested notes about the most recent repair of the machinery, its inner workings and how it was all put together. Truly fascinating. Were Davine of a more inventive frame of mind she might have studied them closer, wondering would it possible to duplicate the machinery on a smaller scale. But she was not, so instead had a look at the bell itself--an enormous metalic thing with a clapper as longer as her arm--and the view from the tiny little platform. What a view it was, too!!! The whole of the campus spread out below like some glorious scene made in miniture or painted on a massive canvas. The delicious dizzy feeling that came with leaning over high rails came to her then, and she stepped back into the main room to get her balance--when a voice spoke from behind her.

Wow. The woman standing there was gorgeous. Her lemony sundress seemed to brighten up the rather dark inside of the tower--and also gave little teasing peeks of her amazing legs and clung to her curves in all the right places--and her odd purple-blue eyes were strangely hypnotic to look at. By comparison Davine merely felt unsightly in her faded deninim short-shorts and pink bikini top. Still, the color did go well with her hair and her contacts, so she supposed it worked.

"Oh, uh, hi!! Yeah, this place is amazing!! I can't believe I'm the only one up here; you'd think more people would come wanting to check out the view."

Natsuki put her fingers to her lips, delighted at this girl's energy and engaging attitude. It would almost be a shame to spoil it. Then again, there was always the chance that it would remain, perhaps mellowed and tempered into something even more exciting. The way those large eyes captured Natsuki's image made Natsuki doubt anything could improve her bright demeanor however. She knew it would be pleasant to see how this one reacted. "Hello, it is splendid isn't it?" Natsuki agreed readily, walking over to the edge of the platform and crossing her hands above the small over her back and leaning out to take in the view. Her dress slid over her pert behind as she did, outlining it's shape. The sun shone right through the cloth where it did not lay agaisnt skin, making the dress almost gauzy, and betraying exactly how thin the garment really was. Foolishly thin, if it had been anything less than tropical in atmosphere. "Of course, nobody's supposed to be up here. The door is normally kept locked."

Natsuki turned and sized the girl that had strode into her trap, analyzing her even as her face radiated sweetness and innocence. Her outward appearance so seldom matched her inner thoughts, much to the dismay of her victims. She batted her eyelashed, brushing them over indigo. She wore no makeup, needing none to distract any onlooker from nonexistent flaws, or to highlight already gorgeous features. "My name...." she hesitated, pursing her lips into a tight pink bow as she considered whether or not to use her false name. She decided not to be subtle, for once. "My name is Natsuki Saika. Pleased to meet you. Who would you be?" She glanced down the steep drop, five stories down onto the starburst mosaic at the base of the tower. "
