Post Such a lovely sunset (Ivy)
It was growing close to sunset on the island, and the lowering light was sending most folk scurrying back to their dorms. The sky was lit with deep and vibrant colors, majestic purples and luscious crimsons standing out the most as the fading sunlight reflected off the clouds. In a few hours, it would be night, and all light would fade from the sky, excepting what faint light the moon and stars provided.

This was a dangerous time for Siolazar, as if there was no light, it was in a very vulnerable position. If anyone discovered it, it would be nigh helpless to fight back with no shadows to manipulate. However, there were still the few hours of daylight left, and the beginning of dusk made ample opportunity for shadows to make themselves known. Perhaps even a student or two would make their way out near the shadowborns hiding place, near a pile of sticks and small branches from a stand of fallen trees.

As a matter of fact, these could be used quite well as a lure. Siolazar pooled around the sticks and began to rattle them gently, the small objects easy prey for it's abilities. Soon, the small pieces of wood began to vibrate and dance upon the ground, almost looking as if they were doing a miniature jig. This would be the lure, and Siolazar waited patiently, for the shadowborn had all the time in the world.

Ivy sat outside under one of the many trees near the forest. Her art teacher had assigned them to draw something they had found with out looking for and she was working on drawing a sunset. True there was still a few hours before it completely went dark, but it was still beutiful none the less.

SHe sighed softly as she finished her drawing know that she would need to color it later on that evening. Her hair moved in the slight breeze as she looked out at the sun set. She took in a sharp breath before she stood and brushed off her skirt.

After another moment or two she began to walk back to her dorm when she heard something interesting. She turned and followed the sound to find a pile of sticks jig. She crouched down to get a better look, as she tried to figure out what was doing it.

It seems that even the simplest tricks would work when attracting the humans. They always sated their curiousity of things by getting close and looking at them. Foolish. Very desirable quality for capturing them, but still a flaw of the species. Ah well, enough of that the shadowborn thought.

As the girl leaned down, Siolazar took her in fully with it's senses. Blue hair, a very unique trait amongst humans, unless it was dyed. Probably dyed, but a unique quirk nonetheless. This was a new piece of data that the shadowbeing never had a chance to test with. New variables always made the experiments refreshing.

After finishing it's examination, Siolazar slid beneath the girl as she crouched down. After a moment, the being suffused her shadow with it's own, hiding perfectly in the darkness. It gave an amused quiver, and locked her movements, using her shadow to root her to the ground, and the sticks started to jumble into a phrase.

"Curiousity killed the cat you know."

She didn't notice him moving or anythign as she continued to examine the sticks. She leaned forward slightly and tried to jump back when they began to move. Instead of jumping she fell backwards her feet stuck to the ground.

She out a scream as she tried to move her feet. She struggled to no avail and stopped when the sticks formed words. "What the?"

Well then, this one was inquisitive, though scared fairly easy. Fear was a powerful tool in Siolazar's arsenal of them, but there was no point in frightening the subject beyond all salvage. It would take it slowly.

"Greetings. You have been chosen for an experiment. I do hope you enjoy it."

The sticks stopped their moving and slowly, Siolazar forced the girl to walk to a nearby tree and begin to climb it, deftly manipulating her shadow to allow her to climb without error. Perhaps it would hang her upside down while experimenting. It would have the blood rush to her head and give quite a unique feeling while it performed it's tests.

She left her feet begin to move on their own after she stared at the message for awhile. She let out a shriek as her feet began to carry her towards a tree and she began to climb it. "What's happening? Why am I climbing this tree," she said confused as she tried to stop herself but she couldn't. Her body continued to carry her up the tree to where ever it was taking her.
