There was little noise as Kell stalked among the trees of the forest circling the campus. This place truly was wicked… though it looked like a peaceful campus setting, the dense foliage, nearly a jungle’s worth, was obviously designed so that the monsters would have a close hiding spot to campus… or so that a stray student might be “lost” for a while on a trek.

The demon had followed along one path, staying just out of sight, trying to judge the most and least used paths… trying to find a mostly deserted one where he might find some prey alone.

He soon found exactly what he was looking for… an off the path foot trail, though one that had obviously been used recently. The foliage had been cleared from it, trampled down, but was still dense enough to both sides to conceal someone as large as Kell. And so here he waited, as the last, cruel rays of the sun fled from the sky, leaving him to hunt as he wished. He threw the massive, protective cloak from his body and hung it about a tree as he waited, the fresh moonlight glinting off one of his horns.
