Lost and Found (Saragus)
"Must have fallen off in the water, goddamn it," Severity murmured, having searched the pale sands. The sun had gone down about an hour ago, and she was already feeling the chill under her uniform. The item that she was searching for was the key ring that she always kept on her person. The afternoon was warm, and she and a few good friends had gone swimming together. Seeing as she didn't like leaving it places- after all, it had her room key on it- she had clipped it to the strap of her bathing suit. Assumedly, it had slipped off in the water while they were frolicking. As a result, she couldn't get into her room. Oh well- there certainly didn't seem to be anyone around. Because she couldn't get changed, she wore her still slightly damp swimsuit under her uniform. She quickly stripped off her vest, shirt, and skirt, laying them on the grass before going to wade out to find the missing item. Her bathing suit was a dark shade of green, and hugged her ample curves nicely. "Must be around here somewhere," she concluded, bending over to try and see if she could spot it on the sandy bottom. The slight tan that she had acquired on her face hadn't spread to the rest of her body, leaving her practically glowing under the near-full moon. If one was out to sea just a bit, they could easily get a glimpse of her cleavage from the low neck of the bathing suit as she bent at the waist to try and retrieve her keyring.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
Saragus woke with a start.
It had been so long since he had been comfortable temperature wise. The cool waters of the depth he had been relaxing in had soothed him into a contented sleep.
Refreshed, he decided to head toward the surface. The 'hunting license' that he possessed really didn't interest him, but it wouldn't do to insult his Zorn employer. And, although he didn't want to admit it to anyone, including himself, there was something...intriguing...about these human females. Or at least, they looked intriguing on the holo films they showed him on the ship ride to Shokushu.
As Saragus ascended to the surface, the casual observer would look at the white-furred octopoid and wonder what kind of creature it really was. The white fur and the way Saragus moved reminded one more of a leopard seal than a squid, despite his trailing tentacles. As he surface, Saragus barely breached the surface, his six eyes moving so as to see 360 degrees around him, while a single tentacle broached the surface, allowing Saragus to refill his lungs.
It was night, with a near full-moon above. A secluded beach lay not too far away from Saragus. The beach wasn't empty, though. There was a young huma female moving in the water close to the beach. Saragus adapted one of his eyes to get a better look. She appeared to be looking for something in the water. Some type of mollusks, perhaps?
The suit that the female was wearing was showing a good amount of her cleavage. Part of the education he got on the ship was an anatomy lesson on the human female. For some reason, Saragus felt his pulse (or the T'marian equivalent thereof) stirring. Saragus slowly made his way toward the beach.
If you think that a large, white-furred octopoid would be impossible to miss, you might be surprised. Saragus's people had been sea hunters for centuries, even before they became a modern, space-faring civilization. Almost instinctively, Saragus used tide and moonlight to hide his progress toward the beach. Someone paying attention might have spotted him. A human female intent on looking for something underwater...Saragus might as well have been invisible.

She straightened, frowning. They can't have gotten that far. After all, she suppoed they would sink straight to the bottom, and she hadn't gone that far out, due to her lack of swimming skills. She might have noticed a slight ripple running through the water from deeper out, but she was far too focussed on the task at hand. Besides, this was the sea, and she could understand a slight irregularity in the waves.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
Saragus froze as the female stood up, allowing himself to sink to the bottom. From what he remember of his briefing on the ship, the look on her face was mild distress, something along the lines of irritation. Had she spotted him? Had his hunting skills grown so rusty from years away from his native T'marian hunting grounds?
No, Saragus thought, she hadn't spotted him. He remembered distinctly that the briefing demonstrated that the human female would emit a high-pitched yell and run in the opposite direction if he had been spotted.
But perhaps she had unconsciously spotted him, and was now more alert?
Deciding to take a more cautious approach, Saragus slowly moved along the bottom as he approached the shallows, one of his tentalcles preceding him, feeling for even the minutest vibrations, as he kept one of his eyes just above the surface of the water, watching the females every move.
Under the moonlit waves, even an observant watcher might have had a problem detecting one patch of white against the sands that made the bottom of the shelf leading toward the beach.
Saragus refused to admit it, but he was becoming excited. And his subconscious was hoping that the female would bend over again, so that he could see more of her lovely cleavage.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
A sparkle underwater just a little way away caught her eye. "That's it!" she said, bending over to get it. However, not only was it only a polished shell, she stepped on an oddly raised rock, and lost her balance, falling forwards into the waves. For a few seconds, she was struggling with the salt water, trying to get to her feet again.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
Saragus found himself actually rushing forward along the bottom as the human female slipped on something, falling face forward in the water. There was something...enticing?...appetizing?...exciting, anyway, watching her flail about, momentarily helpless.
Stop this, Saragus thought to himself. You are a scholar and a warrior of the T'marian race. You do not conduct yourself in such an unbecoming manner.
And still Saragus moved across the bottom, the tip of his preceding tentacle stretched out some twenty feet before him, so close to the flailing human female. Finally, Saragus froze, the mass of his central body flattened against the bottom, as the tip of one tentacle sat a foot away from the human female, with all of his six eyes covertly watching the human female right herself.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
Soon she managed to find her feet, and straightened, dripping water. "Must be around here somewhere," she reasoned, stepping closer to her unseen watcher. She stopped as one foot landed near teh tentacle, noticing a few little discrepancies of the texture of the bottom. That didn't seem positive... She frowned, reaching down into the water to see if it was just a trick of the light or something.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
If Saragus had been a human, he would have held his breath in expectation as the human female reached toward his tentacle. The sight of the female's cleavage, revealed to him as she bent down, suppressed the voice that would have reminded him that he was T'marian.
Instead, he sent a little ripple through his tentacle, to see what type of reaction he would get from the female.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
The sudden movement startled Severity, almost sending her falling backwards yet again. She somehow managed to catch herself, straightening her legs. Alright, screw the keys, she would wait for Ally to get back, or something. She had learned during her time at the school that some things were better assumed to be bad than experienced. Slowly, she started backing towards the beach.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
Saragus almost screamed "Wait!" as he saw the look of consternation on the female human's face. He could tell that, rather than finding the rippling of his tentacle something worth investigating, it had startled the human female.
The honorable thing to do would be to allow the human female to retreat to the 'safety' of the beach. That's what Saragus's conscience was telling him, at any rate. But there was something so enticing about her form, her actions...
Saragus convinced himself that he would do no harm to the human female. Maybe he could convince himself that no real harm would come to her. He just wanted to...study her closer.
Saragus lifted the single tentacle out of the water, curling its tip to signal to the human female that she shouldn't retreat, but should step forward. And to make sure the human female saw his gesture, he moved the tip of the tentacle very close to her.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
Severity didn't take it as a friendly beckoning at all. She hadn't seen what creature it belonged to, and had no intention to whatsoever. "Leave me alone!" she said sharply, still walking backwards through the waist-high water. Some subconscious part of her was reasoning that she would be safe as soon as she left the water- however, with the water slowing the movement of her legs, it was certainly slow going.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
The human female made some type of noise, and Saragus regretted the he had not taken the time to have the human's language genetically programmed into his brain, or had his own vocal cords biomechanically adapted to speak in the human's language. Clearly, though, his peaceful intentions (they were peaceful, Saragus tried to convince himself) had not been properly conveyed.
With a speed consumate of his warrior/scholar race, the tentacle shot out and quickly wrapped itself around the human's waist, holding it in place, while another tentacle lifted above the water, againing making a curling motion with its tip in front of the human's face.

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
She gasped as the tentacle curled around her slim waist. She had no idea what the tentacle in front of her face could be doing, so she struggled wildly, trying to pull away. "Please, just let me go!"s he said loudly, hoping someone else might be along for a midnight stroll or something...

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
Saragus mentally sighed. He just simply could not communicate to this human female. It's actions showed she was in a state of distress. Saragus also took note of her breasts moving freely under her swimsuit.
Saragus decided he would have to calm her down. It was obviously the fear of the unknown, which could strike any sentenient species, even his own. Moving decisively, Saragus used four more tentacles, quickly shooting out of the water, to wrap around the ankles and wrists of the human female, effectively immobilizing her limbs. A sixth tentacle then made the curling motion in front of her face, as Saragus allowed the main part of his body to rise above the water. That should alleviate the human female's fear, Saragus thought.
Removing his body from hiding should calm here. Since he lacked his markings, Saragus assumed the sight of a sphere twenty two foot in diameter, covered in white, soft fur with six seven-inch blue eyes that moved freely about it should calm the human female. Besides, he had been told by a number of his fellow T'marians that they found the sight of his blue eyes 'calming.'

Re: Lost and Found (Saragus)
The calming effect was lost on Severity, as she only increased her struggled. However, teh strength of his tentacles kept her still in her bonds, and she could only watch as he rose out of the water. For a second, her voice was lost- she had never seen anything like him before. However, that was just a brief second, and before long, she was yelling for help again.
