The cold breeze of the night swept across the island. The school grounds were as silent and calm as a graveyard. Standing up as the light from the moon was covered by the passing clouds she turned to look towards the trees after hearing a strange noise. Not able to see in the darkness she could only think that it was only the wind or maybe some animal. She then turned back towards the field, walking along its edge near the trees as to not trample the flowers. "I wonder if there are any more spots like this?" she asked to the empty field, having moved far enough down the treeline that her backside was within reach of the hidden mercenary. |
