Today was a rather lethargic day for him. Aegir had not been in the mood to do much and found himself leisurely asleep in the branches. His pigment was brown to better blend in with the terrain. Voices coming from the hiking trail below roused him, a white eye half opened and looked towards the familiar hiking trail where a pair of students were immersed in hiking. His mind scanning their own but found nothing interesting in their's. Nothing that jumped out at him anyway. Neither of the two students were all that appealing to him and so he let the pair pass unmolested before he lost sight of them and climbed out of the tree. He sltithered through the forest at a slow crawl, his skin going from brown to green to better blend in with low hanging branches and bushes as he made his way back towards the beach and the cove that he resided in. Along the way though he hit upon the wayward thoughts of another closer by. He could not see here but he could sense her presence even if he could not read her thoughts yet to deal with whom he was dealing with; were they lost? Had business out this way? A tyrst with a lover? Did they have anything that they could offer him or were they acceptable to have a bit of fun with? He did not know as of yet and it was only sheer curiousity that caused him to divert his attention away from the beach and further into the forest. This warranted him to take a closer "look" and whether he would make a detour or not depended on what he found. As it were his time to return to the cove given his slow movement increased drastically as he slithered onward. |
