Post On the Hunt (for Varghulf)
This has to be the stupidest thing I've had to do at this school, Susan thought as she stepped onto the moonlit beach. Take pictures of your assigned location during the day and at night, trying to get similar angles at both times and being sure to get views from several angles. You'll be using the light-rendering software to reproduce the environment at various times of day. She gave a slight snort of disgust. Never mind about any sex-crazed monsters that might be waiting to ambush any lone students they might find at night. At least the head girls are aware of the assignment so I won't get into trouble that way.

In anticipation of the possibility of meeting one of the monsters, she'd dressed in a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers to make running or fighting easier. A light denim jacket was tied around her waist; she wasn't sure just how much cooler the island got at night, so she didn't know if she'd need it or not.

She took the school-assigned camera out of her pocket. It was an unusual, self-contained model that could only have images downloaded to the school's mainframe, and that could only be done by a teacher. Which means if I do get attacked and manage to get a picture of the thing, the picture'll never be seen again, I suppose. She stopped and looked down the beach. This is pretty close to the first shot I took this afternoon, she thought as she brought the viewfinder up to her eye and took a picture. There was no visible flash; the setting the camera was on supposedly used a special flash outside the visible spectrum to make low-light photographs more accurate. Privately, Susan had her doubts. I should probably take a third set using the normal flash after I'm done with this one, just in case.

Post Re: On the Hunt (for Varghulf)
The night air was cool and chill, the waves gently rolling into the shore the only potent noise on the otherwise serene beach, but even their low rumble only added to the ambient feeling of calm and relaxation one could experience from such a place.

Qin stood solitary on the beach front, the landscape being bordered by the natural bluffs off in the distant, the scene, with herself all alone, outlined by the sands and cliffs, seemed almost a picture in itself. Yet, like so many placid moments on the island, things were not as they seemed.

The moon had risen, banishing once more the hot sun which Varghulf hated so much. Being the nocturnal creature he was, the daytime hours were usually reserved for sleep and rest, but even he experienced those times when his new home, a small alcove along the bluff wall, felt more like a prison, all due to the crippling brightness of the day. But now, now only moonlight crept into his domain, freeing him of his confines, freeing him to begin his nightly hunt.

He remembered, long ago, before he had been captured, before he had become some mere test subject, such nights brought him joy... Now they only fueled his desire to hunt, to find any of the plentiful humans dwelling in this place and lower them to the the depths he had been exposed to so often at their "NICE Laboratories".

He spread his wings and dove from the cave, gliding down before propelled himself upward, coming high into the night, his form silhouetted by the full moon as he moved down the beach.

The moonlight seemed to flicker briefly, as if a cloud had passed in front of the moon quickly. The wind was only light breezes at the moment, though, not enough to send a cloud past that quickly. Nervously, Susan turned to look at the moon, trying to see if she could see what had caused the shadow. By this point, however, the creature was no longer silhouetted by the moon, and she couldn't get any clear view of if there was something there.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid, she thought, but around here, it's best to assume there are things out to get me. She moved to take the next picture, but she was even more alert for any signs that something was watching her.

Post Re: On the Hunt (for Varghulf)
Varghulf had sensed it, not through eyesight or sonar or anything of the like, but from the tension, the raw fear in the girl- This was the method in which it hunted, the nourishment it sought. It now saw it's target, it's prey for the night... But what joy was there without the hunt? It knew it could easily swoop down, pick up the girl and carry her off, saving her for later atrocities to come, but there was no sport in it, no fun... No, this was one of his first true hunts since his escape from NICE, he would enjoy this.

He made a few passes, surveying the landscape, to the south only lie more beach, the bluff and the caves to the north, and east lied the treeline. He would have to force her towards one of these areas if he wished to avoid a pointless straight run down the beach... Seeing this, he made his move.

He made a few low passes, playing with her eyesight- Should she be looking, she would see something darting above her in the dark, too fast to get a clear picture of, but obviously something large, something that had no right moving so quickly, no less through the air... He did this to unnerve her, to put her mind working rapidly, hoping to push her logical thinking out of the way in lue of raw fight-or-flight instinct...

It was now time for his grand entrance. He would land to the south of her, cutting off her escape from that direction, forcing her to choose a more entertaining path of escape... He fell rapidly, sweeping his wings only at the last minute, kicking up sand and dirt as they worked to soften his descent, his body making a violent crash as it finally landed. With this he turned to the girl, rising up, his form large and muscular outlined in the moonlight, only to be lowered once more as he emitted a loud shriek at her, his teeth, razor-sharp every one, fully bared.

The creature flying about put her on edge; while she couldn't tell what it was, she had a good idea. As long as it was just flying around, she didn't need to do more than try to keep track of where it was. She had no doubt, however, that it would attack sooner or later, and she was prepared to act accordingly.

Soon enough, the creature landed, cutting off her most direct route to the dorms, and gave a horrifying cry. She only took a moment to take note of the thing's teeth before turning to run in the opposite direction. While she was headed more towards the cliff, she ran at angle, aiming to make it to the forest while putting as much distance as possible between herself and the monster. She didn't think much of her chances either way, but the forest at least might keep it from flying after her.

Varghulf felt a sense of glee in his mind as he lifted himself off again, returning to the air and giving chase to the girl, keeping a bit of distance between him, making it appear she could almost outrun him if she just pushed herself a little more, a little harder. In the end, however, he knew she stood no chance, whether it be in the air or on the ground, he was the faster creature, but he so did love playing with his prey...

He watched her movement patterns as he gave chase- she was heading to the forest, it would appear. He didn't blame her, after all, in the thick woods he would have to descend and give chase via foot and claw, and that would lead to a full menagerie of ways he could seep the fear from her... But he knew, like so many nights, this one would be fleeting as well, and a more... direct, approach would have to be given.

With that, he swept a head, flying to her flank, cutting her off from the forest, her only option now would be heading towards the cliffs, least she be foolish enough to try and double-back on him.

Post Re: On the Hunt (for Varghulf)
The creature moved to stop her from reaching the forest, telling her that she'd been correct that the trees would be enough of an obstacle to give her a chance of escaping. The speed it had flown made it clear that trying to turn and run back towards the campus would be as good as just stopping dead and letting it have its way with her unless it wasn't very maneuverable; the way it seemed to have been flying before it started chasing her suggested that that was unlikely, though. That left the cliffs as her only possible escape route. It wasn't a promising route — she'd have to either turn and run alongside the cliffs or try to climb them once she reached them, giving the creature an easy chance to grab her — but her only other choice was to try and fight the thing, which looked even less promising. Besides, she might get lucky and find a narrow cave the thing couldn't follow her into, or it might actually be poor at turning and be forced to slow down or crash into the rocks. She took a deep breath and put on a burst of speed; she was more of a sprinter than a distance runner, but she could manage sustained runs if she didn't push herself too hard.

Post Re: On the Hunt (for Varghulf)
It seemed the directional ploy had worked, the young girl was now sprinting off towards the cliffs, Varghulf would almost be happy the plan was going so well, but she still wasn't adequately fearful, and without that this hunt was pointless- sure, there was pleasure to be gained in it in the end, but he needed sustenance, nourishment, he needed to taste her fright... A feat that was proving to be rather difficult... "Where is the normal response...?", he would think to himself, remembering back to his escape from the NICE Labs. They had acted so calm, so calculating while he was restrained... But when he escaped, mmm... He feasted well during that time- so many running, so many in utter panic... So why wasn't this girl? She ran with a purpose, still thinking rationally, why else would she not just keep running straight?

As much as this perplexed him, it angered him more-so. He turned to continue pursuit, maintaining a short distance between them, though not letting her get too far a head. His anger got the best of him, and he could not silently keep it any longer- he reached out, forcing his way into the girl's head: "Catch you... Devour you... Feed", he broadcasted only that single sentence, but with it was sent a portion of his hunger, that deep, animalistic need to feed, forcing it's way into the girl's mind, giving her but a taste of his primal need.

With that he would let out an ear-piercing shriek, teeth gleaming in the moonlight as he began to speed up.

The primal hunger in the message the creature sent into her head had a definite effect on her; the nature of it sent severe doubts through her thoughts. Devour me? Is it planning to eat me? While she'd got the impression that the creatures weren't allowed to seriously injure the students, students did disappear; there was no way she could be sure that monsters didn't sometimes break the rules. With the fear that her life might be in danger, she began to run faster towards the cliffs; she needed to find some way, any way of getting away from the thing. Even one of the other monsters would be better; they'd at least leave her alive, and they might be able to defeat this thing.

He could taste it now, that particular trail of pheromones she left as he gave chase- she was afraid now, fearing for her life, and the scent of it drove Varghulf forward, for now the fun was truly beginning.

He would let out another high screech as they drew near the cliffs, his speed picking up. Now arrived at their destination, the one area of the island he truly knew, he would begin corralling her, forcing her to make the turns he wanted through a combination of darts and dives, allowing her to believe she was merely running, but in reality being guided to the spot he wanted: an outlet sitting high above the rocks, from which one could only advance the way they had come- he made sure to lure her here, to give her no option but the suicidal drop below or to turn and face him...

Once here, once she was trapped, he would land, teeth glistening as drool fell from his maw, the moonlight the only light illuminating his large frame and the loud crashing of the waves the only sound permeating the air. He took a step towards her, still remaining a few yards from her, but opening his jaw wide, allowing her a full view of his razor-sharp teeth as he screeched to the sky once more, a low grow following as his voice once again pierced into her mind, though this time only emitting two words, though they carried with them a terrible idea of things to come: "I Hunger..."

Post Re: On the Hunt (for Varghulf)
The creature herded her where it wanted, using her fear to keep her from realizing she was being led into a trap. Soon enough, she was stopped by a sheer drop, far too long for her to have any chance of avoiding serious injury if she fell over it. She doubted she could climb down it, or up the walls on either side of her, in the best of circumstances; she certainly couldn't do so quickly enough to escape her pursuer.

So, this is it, then? she thought as she turned to face the creature. Although she knew she was unlikely to prevail against the monster, she wasn't going to give up without a fight. She quickly cast her eyes around, looking for anything that could be used as a weapon, as the thing spoke. "Just try it… I'll kill you," she said, her voice betraying just how much her words were mere bravado, as she grabbed a promising-looking rock and prepared to fight.

Varghulf snarled in reply to her threat, dashing forth with a speed hence unseen, his powerful legs propelling him just as fast as his wings, yet this was a bluff.

He charged her as if to simply ram her off the cliff, waiting for just the moment when she reacted, whether it be to ready herself to strike or to merely cower, yet when she did he came to a dead stop in his tracks, as suddenly as he had charged. An instant passed before his frame let out a spasm as two tentacles sprouted from his back, reaching around and grabbing her legs, swiftly tugging her to the ground before one reached up and violently whipped the rock from her hand, it would then return to her leg, slipping around her ankle as the pair began to slowly drag the girl towards him, a low growl emitting from him as he eyed her.

Her reaction to his charge was to try to move out of his path and hit him with the rock as his momentum carried him past her. His reaction time and ability to stop so abruptly caught her off guard, allowing him to trap her ankles, trip her, and disarm her before she'd realized what happened.

The thing began to drag her towards it, growling as it did so. Having no desire to find out what it planned to do to her, she managed to get herself into a sitting position and grabbed one of the tentacles, attempting to pry it off her leg.

She was strong, he would give her that, mentally if not physically, for her had expected her to panic once he had taken hold of her, and yet it seemed she still fought against him... A fun turn of events...

Varghulf's frame would spasm momentarily as two more tentacles erupted from his back, moving out and coiling around her wrists, pulling them aside to prevent anymore "escape attempts". Now with his grip on her secure he would once more resume pulling her in, dragging her along the cold clifftop until she lay mere inches from him. He would lean over her, his crimson eyes leering at her as he continued to growl, drool slowly secreting from the corner of his mouth.

His arms would raise up, as if to deal some killing blow, but instead of cleaving down unto her they moved onto her chest, savagely ripping her shirt into shreds, exposing her breasts to the cool night air; the action would be preformed once more on her jeans, leaving only shredded remains and her bare skin behind.

It was then the tentacles would lift her up, leaving her head and arms dangling downward as her legs were pulled high, angling her as to where her naked crotch lay in front of Varghulf's face. The reason became apparent quickly as his mouth opened and from it descended a large tongue, unfurling like some lengthy snake; once out it would take a long drag across her crotch, pressing hard against her as it lapped against her. Once it finished it's initial taste the tip would slither up, pressing into her wet hole and moving in deep, filling her pussy as it began to lash about, lapping up her juices as it moved.

The monster quickly formed two more tentacles to secure her arms, preventing her from continuing to pry herself free. She continued to struggle, pulling against the the tentacles as the creature reeled her in.

"No!" she cried out, closing her eyes and turning her head to the side, as the creature's arms raised as if to strike her down; she was terrified of dying like this, and didn't want to see the killing blow. A moment later, as the cool night air hit her skin, she opened her eyes and looked back again in time to see the thing make short work of her jeans and panties. So, it is like all the others? Why the 'I hunger,' then? she thought incongruously as it lifted her up.

Her question was more-or-less answered as its tongue slid along her sex before pushing inside. "Ahn… No… don't… nnngh… Not there… uhn… N-no…" she moaned as its explorations stimulated her body despite herself.
