It had occurred to her that she needed money, and might be able to sell the coins she still had for enough to survive on for a day or so.

She patted her blouse very lightly and looked down. She could just barely see the little man's head between her breasts but could certainly feel him moving about. She turned her head and body slightly so the old man couldn't see. "I hope you're enjoying yourself," she whispered very quietly

“I know a few,” the old man answered as they rode on. She could see a large white towere at the center of a walled city. He was stopped outside the gates, his goods in his wagon and he bad to pay a tax on them. He brought them into the city as she got her answer from Harmn. "Thank you so much" said Anemone, "your kindness has been very appreciated, and I may just take you up on that offer." She turned and walked over to one of the money changers he had pointed out. "What should I do now?" she whispered down to the little man. "I need to get the most I can for the little money I have. Do you have any ideas?"

Vern smiled at her and nodded. “You're welcome.” And he was off with his wagon wishing the best for the young girl in the odd cloths.

“Hm … I have some coins but they are tiny and given the hatred for the fey in Brindel you probably won't get much for them though a collector might offer something for the novelty. They're not common here after all.

“I'm afraid you won't get much money for coins not in use here, fey or other wise unless you find a collector who might give you something for them.”

Anemone went to sit by the public fountain. She needed to think

There was not a large crowd around but there were some people. Consequently she did not feel in a dangerous situation as the kindly old man had seemed to think were common for unescorted girls. It seemed she could now talk to the little man somewhat freely, as long as she was reasonably circumspect.

Still, she was very nervous at seeming to be muttering to her breasts all the time.

Harn considered for a moment. “I wouldn't recommend weapons, if we need them then we've already lost. These things in Brindel are moderately pricey so it might be best if I scope things out to see what we may need first.”

The young man was still stealing glances at her though, then began to approach.

"Well, how are you going to do that? Turn invisible and then go fly around? And why are you still hiding down there if you could have just been invisible all this time?"

"Hello?" A questioning voice came from over Anemone's shoulder. She looked up to see the young man looking down at her.

"Uh..hi," she said in some consternation. "uhm..sorry, Bluetooth can be sooo distracting sometimes". She realized that cell phones were not at all likely here, but it was the best she could think of on short notice. She flashed her perfect teeth in a big grin, hoping that it might distract him from asking why she had just been talking to her breasts.

Harn grinned as he tipped his head back to look at her face. “Well, how could I resist. Besides, it's taxing if I use it too much.” He giggled a little at the little confession though it wasn't too taxing but she didn't need to know that …

“Bluetooth?” He shook his head confused …

"Thank you, I come from Shokushu, it's a little distant from here," Anemone replied. She reasoned he might know of closeby places, or even far ones if he should ask a direction, so wanted to head off such questions.

"Do you know of any dealers in curiousities?" she asked pleasantly. This seemed a safe inquiry as she was facing the little shops the old man had told her were just that.

She cut off his question. “Can't say that I recognize the country but I only keep up with a few. As for dealers, what do you seek? I can point you in the right direction if I do not have it myself …

“Forgive me, were are my manners? I am called Renford Savalis, Ren for short. He took her hand kissing the back of it before releasing it.

"And I'm called Anemone, very glad to make your acquaintance", the student smiled at the courtly pleasantry, "I...have these coins from my country. They are not valid as money here but I was wondering what they might fetch as...oddities." She held out a few of the coins she carried.

He played with her name a little. “Mine if I call you Ane? You can call me Ren by the way.”

He took a look at the coins, examing both sides carefully, looking at the date and the slogan IN GOD WE TRUST. Her land had only one deity? He heard of different Shadows that worshipped one God … hm, he filed that away, looked at her then the coins.

“How much are they worth in you land?”

"Ann, Annie, whatever," Anemone sighed deeply, an action which pleased the little man no end and even caught Ren's attention a little more. "Not much, I'm afraid, certainly not enough to get the things I need" She stopped abruptly, aware that she might have just said too much.
