Katarina was positively glowing as she left the third music room, an oft unused room that she'd been given access to for her own practice. Ever since she'd been behaving like her feet weren't on the ground, nearly unrestricted access to a piano whenever she had free time, short of past curfew. Even the disturbing dreams she'd been suffering recently weren't enough to accost her the euphoria of her music. The violin was still her main instrument and it was indeed beautiful, but only on the piano did she have a wide enough variety of notes to play many of the pieces she most enjoyed. She glanced up and down the corridors, seeing they were as deserted as one would expect, it was a weekend after all, and a beautiful one at that. She'd come early in the morning and now it was coming onto midday on Saturday...maybe she'd come back after some dinner. With a silent nod to herself, she decided that was the plan. Her loafers made only the slightest sound as she walked, her eyes only barely noticing the door labelled 'basement' she'd just walked past. Having spoken with a few, more experienced students, she'd learned that was where detention was held...not that it would ever be a problem for her. If one were to look up "model student" in an encyclopaedia, it would likely reference one Katarina Marseilles, and that was a distinction she was rather proud of. She didn't give the door a second thought as she continued on down the corridor. |

With a soft squeak, the door to the basement slowly opened, and Violett peeked her head out. Crouched on the floor, her eyes were about level with the small of Katarina's back. Creeping out a little further, Violett put on the only thing she had to wear, her glasses. Staring at the retreating figure, she smiled slightly. This one looked like it would please her. Blushing a little, she looked around to make sure nobody else was there, that she wasn't exposed to anyone else, she covered her tiny breasts with her arm, drawing back towards the stairs, and began to sing softly. "She likes to sleep with the radio on, so she can dream of her favorite song.... The one that no one has ever sung since she was small..." (Mistress, do you want to make a post, or is it Katarina's turn until I actually get to the point where she should meet you in person?) |

((Lady Steel has informed me that she will join us, when the time is appropriate.)) As Katarina approached the corridor's turn, her ears twitched slightly. Thats what happened when they registered unusual sounds, her built-in radar, some used to joke. She turned her head slightly, listening with one ear to the faint melody coming from behind. "Hello?" she called out after a moment, giving into the trepidation she felt in her heart. No response came, rather the gentle singing simply continued on. This was a akin to a moment out of a horror film...not that Katarina knew that, she'd never been a fan of the genre. Slowly she turned about and walked towards what she believed to be the source, until she finally came upon the door to the basement. Was there detention on weekends? And would they be singing there? Her curiosity was piqued, so she slowly moved the door open as to not make a sound... |

As quiet as her follower tried to be, Violett's keen ears picked up the sound of the door opening, and she continued singing the soft, soothing song. "She'll never know that she made it up. She had a soul and we ate it up. Thrown away like a paper cup, the music falls." Slowly, she made her way down the hall, waiting in the doorway, singing the regretful lyrics sweetly as she made her way to the rom waiting for them. The only flaw in her detailed plan is where she wins back the love of her man; Everyone knows that he's never coming back..." Waiting in the door, her pale, naked body shining in the dim light, she waitied for the brunette to catch up. "He took her heart and she took his name. He couldn't stand taking all the blame. He left her only with guilt and shame and then, she cracked..." |

Katarina cursed the shoes she wore for slowing her decent, her keen ears followed the sound as it moved away from her faster than she could walk quietly and catch up. "This is not a funny joke, if that's what it is!" she called out, frustration obvious in her voice. A slight nag in the back of her mind spoke up, giving her the feeling she should just turn about and go somewhere else...but that singing and its mysterious source were driving her mad. She finally gave up on her shoes and quickly removed them, opting to carry them so she could not only move faster but significantly quieter as well. As she approached a door near the end of the darkening corridor, the singing stopped moving and seemed to be waiting beyond. Without another word or so much as a breath, she gripped the door's handle and leaned against it, pushing it open very slowly. |

Waiting in the dark, Violett took Katarina's hand as she opened the door, singing softly as she pulled her into the pitch-black room and closed the door behind her. "Won't it be dull when we rid ourselves of all these demons haunting us to keep us company?" Katarina would be so surprised at what she saw when the lights came on! (Your turn, Mistress.) |

A soft crack, a locking of all things before, the sound of a snare ending a poor creature's hopes of freedom and life and joy, sounded from the door as the latch in it slid shut. Darkness surrounded the women. Another crack, one of judgment, or the sound of a door slamming hard against the wall as it's flung forcibly open, or, as was the case here, of a heavy electrical switch snapping downward and completing a circuit, echoed in the room. Harsh lights burned in from above, washing out their vision for a long moment. Before their eyes adjusted, there came another sound: the soft pad and scrape of bare feet on concrete. Around the room was a long line of shackles at varying heights, and one wall was devoted to a long metal table full of drawers and covered in devices meant to inflict pain of varying degrees and types, some of which would be unrecognizable even to Violett. Closer to the middle of the room were a pair of tables with metal rings surrounding their sides, and closer to the door from which the two had entered were a pair of pulley systems ending in strong hooks and supported by chains. In the center of the room was perhaps stranger still, though, for it appeared to be a statue carved in metal of a woman with hair made of wire and inhuman eyes that glimmered in the harsh light. Then the gray woman spoke and took on a sudden sort of improper life. "'Twas a siren's song I did just hear, but now I sniff a whiff of fear. What is all this, my little dear, that you have sung and brought me here?" Amidst the little rhyme, the creature did a little dancing step forward until she was within arms' reach of the women. "Was this some extra special feat, or is she more your type of treat?" The eyes, slit vertically like a cat's and shimmering between yellow and green, fixed tightly on Katarina, but the rhyme could have been addressed to either of them. "Well, there is no girl I'd ever meet whom I couldn't bring myself to beat." Miss Steel favored the musician with a hungry, broad smile and reached out a hand as if in introduction. |

Katarina had only her rigid self-control to keep her from screaming when a hand seized hers from within the pitch black room and pulled her in with surprising force. Her mouth had begun to form words of demanding inquiry when the door behind closed and a firm sounding lock snapped into place. "Oi...this is not even remotely nice." she had time to offer that one complaint before being blinded by what she originally suspected were the world's brightest headlamps. She lowered her head and covered her eyes instinctively, trying to adjust to the second sudden change in light level in as many moments. When the spots cleared from her vision she first caught glance of the twin steel tables that stood in the centre of the room...the rest of the room was simply adding onto the tremendous fear that had abruptly began to rise within. Cold steel gripped her heart when the...thing in the midst of the room began to speak in peculiar rhyming riddle. At least what she hoped was a riddle, considering the final line of her monologue taken in context with the chamber's 'equipment.' Fear? Self-preservation? She wasn't quite sure what it was that made her take a step back from the bizarre thing as it approached. She felt as though a dagger of ice had penetrated her heart when it looked towards her with those eyes and that smile. Terror choked her and she could not bring herself to say or do anything. |
