Inevitability (Miss Steel v. Revi)
It was bound to happen eventually. Inevitable, really.
Someone up in Campus Administration had decided it was time. Shokushu's resident hardass thief had escaped detection for a fairly solid stretch, keeping her head low and being very subtle in her machinations. As it went, however, the campus itself was a panopticon, secure and monitored, with no oversight keeping the wardens from doing what they liked with the prisoners, save outright murder. Her number had come up, she was bound for detention. They'd fabricate some sort of excuse to corral her, they always could.
On the exterior, Revi was something akin to a perfectly average student, albeit one who spent an obscene amount of time staying in shape. She rarely missed her classes intentionally, and while she didn't make outstanding marks, she stayed right in the middle of the proverbial bell curve, as to not draw unwanted attention to herself. All the same.. attacks of the nightmares of Shokushu had led the girl to slipping attendance - it's difficult to make it to calculus in a timely fashion when you're stripped bare and suspended three feet above your own bed, slick, insistent tentacles violating all of your orifices and leaving you a spent, raped heap. For four classes in a row. Almost as if it was planned.
They came for her after classes, right before her gym visit. Four prefects, the Stepford girls of Shokushu, met her in the dorm stairwell like trained kidnappers, surrounded her on all sides, each of them holding what looked like a ranged electrical taser - they weren't taking any chances with this one, given her history of violence. Skinny blondes, the lot of them, but with grips like iron bands, and a curious lack of expression on their perfectly made-up faces. Revi raged, promised bloody murder, the whole nine yards, but she'd been on the receiving end of that electrical current before, and knew that it was all posturing - she might take down one or two of them, but not all four, and she wanted coherence when she was forced Downstairs. They read her the riot act - something to do with cutting class without valid documentation, willful negligence of her studies, assaulting another student unprovoked, months back.. but it was all white noise to the half-Chinese girl. In one ear and out the other, just going through the motions for any onlookers that happened to wander down the staircase. They had her, dead to rights.
She was marched down towards the legendary basement after winding through the seemingly endless administration corridors, head held high, flanked by her four escorts. She's out of her school uniform, wearing a pair of dark, tight jeans, heavy climbing boots, and a white tanktop with a black leather motorcycle jacket thrown on over top, snug to her toned frame. Her hands are gloved and taped, anticipating an afternoon of using the rock wall. Upon reaching the heavy iron doors, she's literally shoved inside at taser-point, and left with her last image of the outside world being the four grinning prefects - a grin she returns, promising pain if she ever finds them alone. No sense even talking to the four, they were vapid anyway, nearly automata. The door slams shut with an ominous metallic screech, a lock clangs in to place, and after a moment of testing the door, Revi makes some slight adjustments to the placement of certain items in her wardrobe - always prepared, she was - and marches down the torchlit stairs, silent and alert, predator's steps. She'd meet this head-on, it was the way she was wired.

Re: Inevitability (Miss Steel v. Revi)
The tunnel continued for an exceptional length, twisting back and forth but never forking or offering outlet. Deeper and deeper it lead. The air grew stale and warm, though the torches were growing less frequent. Suddenly, the passage twisted and opened wide onto a long, well-lit hall. At the far end, a woman with gray skin, darker hair, and acid-green eyes was resting in a wrought-iron chair blowing smoke from her lips. A flat-black cigarette hung from between a pair of fingers. She wore an open vest and a pair of pocket-coated shorts that matched her hair. As Revi stepped into the room, the gray woman turned and smiled at her pleasantly.
"Welcome! You're quite late, but I've been enjoying the wait. This habit is quite relaxing, actually. I'm surprised I never discovered it before," the gray woman said as she rose from her seat. She strode calmly across the room.
She left behind a bare, flat table with a heavy black bag resting on its top. At the other side of the table was a second chair in black, decorative iron. Aside from those, the room was bereft of other furniture. The light came from a number of bare bulbs stuck directly to power conduits running the ceiling between pipes that dripped water.
A gray hand dipped into her vest and came back with a jet black packet of cigarettes. The gray woman shook it, holding one out towards Revi in offer.
"Smoke?" the gray woman said. As the black sticks came closer into view, it became clear they were solid pieces of charcoal and not, in fact, rolled tobacco. The yellow-green eyes were cheerful and slit vertically, like a cat's, as they settled on Revi's.

Re: Inevitability (Miss Steel v. Revi)
Well, she knew the way out, as it were. Only one way to go back out that door, just a long, meandering mess of a run back towards the surface - the trick would be making it back, wouldn't it. Always the case.
By the time she crossed the threshhold in to Steel's hallway, her eyes had adjusted to the dim light of the corridors, and the well-lit environment gave her a moment's pause while her vision compensated. When it did.. at least this monster didn't try to hide itself in human guise. She chuckled when she saw Steel, just a quiet noise, low in her throat. All the games this campus played, the front it threw up for the non-victims.. all for this. A playground for inhumans. A quiet smirk ghosts across her lips, and the girl stretches herself out as if prepping for a workout, nice and flexible. As Steel speaks, she returns that smile, wry.
"Hate to disappoint. Elevator would've been nice, kind of a hike to get down here. Probably would've killed the ambiance though. It's Revi. Who're you? Haven't seen you on campus before."
She knew the game, and all that it entailed. This monster seemed, on the surface at least, mild-tempered - but that was probably a front. Either way, she'd glean what she could. She speaks to Steel like an equal, casual and comfortable - for now. She eyes the charcoal cancer-sticks, smile twisting in to a grin.
"And nah, I'll pass. Don't think my lungs would do well with 'em. Why'd you pick me for the prefects to grab? I'm kinda flattered it took four, to be honest."
On the surface, a sea of calm. Brimming beneath, the capacity for ruthless violence, evident in those cold, assessing eyes. She sees the room, glance flicking to that bag before settling back on Steel, hands loose at her sides.

Re: Inevitability (Miss Steel v. Revi)
"I am Miss Steel, though you can call me just Steel if you prefer, Revi," the gray woman replied, pocketing the pack of abnormal smokes. Steel seemed pleased to be addressed as an equal, and just as pleased to return the favor to her evening's entertainment. She took a step back and gestured towards the table at the far end of the room.
"Come, let us sit. You want to know why I picked you? Two reasons really. The first is simple. Elise. I wanted to see what sort of woman would work with that deliciously defiant whore." There was no contempt in Steel's voice as she spoke. Indeed, it seemed more tinged with playful respect than anything else. She strode on towards the metal table as she spoke, not much noticing or caring if Revi followed.
"I had my claws in her, oh, some time ago now and saw your records involved a lot of overlap. Most of the partnerships I've seen are less businesslike between your kind, and less able to defend one another. I find it hard to believe it took them this long to listen to my request to have you down here to atone for your sins. Ah well, better late than never," the gray woman said, pulling out a chair for the student and moving across the table to the other one.
"The second reason I wanted to see you, my dear, is because you have responded to your situation with rightful and justified anger." Miss Steel took her seat and continued, "and everyone deserves a chance to really work off all their aggression every so often. So I'm going to make you a deal. We'll play a game. If you win, you get to hurt me for the night. If you lose, I make you hurt for the night. Sound fair?"
