Post The Sleeper Wakes (Thalia)
Humanity, a species purile; lost, proud children meandering blindly amongst the stars, swallowed by their burning allure as surely as the oblivious rocks on which it had driven flags erect with bluster and presumption. The humans had claimed land, cultivated it as their own, as if the impartial universe had cared any for territorial claims marked in savage bits of metal and cloth, tabulated on primitive machines beneath contempt. It had coalesced like men that huddle in desperate yearning for the warmth of fire, seeking reprieve from space's icy scorn that encompassed all, the savage sea of darkness and void that was both bane and protector, mercifully parting its naivety from those who would mean it harm, or in indifference destroy it, the tread of a callous foot upon anthills of nugatory civilization.

Yet it was more than cold space and physical distance that separated, formed a grand, insular partition to ensure the continuity and ignorant bliss of the homo-sapiens, for an intangible veil severed this existence from the next, its qualities a paradox of iron strength and gossamer fragility, holding back an alternate world more alien and terrible than their most abstract imagining. There nightmares took unthinkable shapes, resided in fitful sleep within a horrifying demense of flesh butchered and sculpted, strung into grotesque form, casting their baleful gaze wide in stark dormancy. Ethereal tendrils of vision branched out, reached through the veil to touch upon other worlds, analyzing with cold, silent malevolence their prize that lay beyond. In these fevered dreams, they had observed uncounted races, many thousands of years more advanced than an infantile humanity, drawn by scintillating beacons of magic and technology that cut through to their sordid attentions. Where their eyes fell, they had sent one of their sleepers, woken to terrible purpose. Like a virus, they sought to propagate, to make what they beheld as their own, and when this time of ominous study faded to action, such became of those races caught within their ineffable shadow. Those visited were forever changed, fused indelibly to an empire of twisted, writhing flesh that sprawls vast across the infinite dimensions, forever carnal and insatiable.

As fate would dictate, those same ethereal skeins caught a glimpse beyond their dimensional pale, peering into the world of Shokushu where it observed the academy's debauchery and moral repugnance with glee. They had not known what had summoned them, a flash in the pan, some short lived anomaly much unlike the lasting signatures of societies more advanced, but whatever had first called them, they remained, morbidly enchanted by this lewd spectacle. Deciding at last the situation worthy of his presence, or perhaps merely beckoned by an irrepressible curiosity, out from shimmering rifts slithered a once nascent watcher, roused to his dread work in vacant subterranea beneath the campus.

Sloshing through the Byzantine maze of emptied corridors, abandoned rooms, he extends his sixth sense outward, preternatural sight taking in the properties and form of those minds nearby, entirely unperturbed by intervening physical barriers. A single verdant eye, its colours mottled and shifting, flowing and melting into one another, sweeps the gloom ahead, navigating the way through unlit darkness with effortless vision, its sights cast in strange, foreign hues. Streaks of noxious sludge trail his wake, dull concrete glistening wetly at the thing's passage, their cold grey surfaces taking on the foul taint of his pheromone stench.

The alien visitor does not travel far before it tastes the thoughts of prey close by, innocent, helpless, irresistible; a siren's call to his living defilement that stalked these halls. He paused for a moment, eye sliding shut, savouring the girl's naivety, drinking in what he had glimpsed of her; she was virginal, untouched, unspoiled, and soon, she would be his.

Post Re: The Sleeper Wakes (Thalia)
Thalia angrily made her way down to the basement to serve her detention. Her teacher gave her detention without hesitations when Thalia told her that she did not complete her assignments. Thalia was not too thrilled to be down in the cold, dark, and gloomy basement. Some of her room mates have served detentions before, and they refused to tell her the full details. According to them, it was not too bad, and it was sometimes even pleasant. Thalia wondered how serving detention in a smelly underground room could possibly be pleasant. She went into the detention room and sat down on a seat. Thalia waited, and became a bit tense as she heard someone approaching her.
