A plan had been set in motion. While we won't go too deeply into all of the movements and requests to make it happen, the results, we will. Essentially, Vanessa was assigned to find a student who got lost in the basement after being sent there for punishment, and was given a photo and name. Anna Hildebrandt, who was cute enough, and had one of those weird hair colors that was common enough in Shokushu - lavender, here. She apparently had had a detention room hour, and the teachers couldn't find her after the hour was up. This was in the morning. ...I mean, it's not like the basement is literally dangerous, they just were concerned, right?

...Either way, that likely lead to Vanessa being directed to the original detention room, and set about walking. A pity the teachers and aides were too busy to help her. ...but then again, she was already beginning to hear what sounded like a muffled cry, coming from a side-room a ways down the hall she was in!

Helping other students and being a productive member at Shokushu was one of Vanessa's aims- even if this task seemed a little... strange. How on earth did the faculty not find her? They were the ones who sentenced the girl to this detention room, and having her somehow escape? For some reason, the redhead doubted that Anne was going to be in the basement. She might've escaped and been wondering throughout the forests of Shokushu by now. No one in the right mind would stay in the basement intentionally... no one that wasn't Vanessa. But that was for another time. The fact that Vanessa had been sent by the teachers made her feel even more uneasy. They probably had a better idea of where things were in the basement. The crimson-haired girl had no clue herself. She almost thought it was a monster who had sent this up, but the idea of saving a girl was going to be worth it.

After all, Vanessa was a knight in shining armor. She wandered through the dark basement with a stapler in hand. It wasn't the best weapon, but she would have to make due. When she looked into Anne's detention room, she frowned. "Where is she?" The crimson-haired girl whispered to herself. Suddenly, she could hear the voice of a female. The knight turned around almost immediately. She tugged her white skirt down a bit before tip toeing closer to the room with the noise, and taking a quick peak at what was going on inside.
