Appearing in a flash of crimson flames, the chaotic alien entity known as Thalkarsh set himself upon the cold grated floor of the mining facility that was located on an asteroid which conveniently hung between the vast reaches of space and the planet containing his favorite retreat, the Shokushu College. This place was abandoned some time ago and it made a nice refuge for the Daemonic thing which walked lazily towards one of the many chambers that once some race unknown to Thalkarsh who mined this asteroid dry of its precious minerals. The walls were blackened with marks of what could only have been battle, and the creature took a strange curiosity in figuring out what exactly transpired. Exploring further each time he entered this place he found that its automated security systems were still intact, having to have destroyed security drones and sentry turrets on several occasions. The machines couldn't truly harm him, but they were quite the nuisance.

As he moved towards one of the ports to what appeared to be some sort of airlock the Crimson skinned monstrosity let out an annoyed sigh as four turrets, half circles each, two from the ceiling and two from the floor popped up with warning klaxons blaring. They pointed their tubular firing apparatus towards Thalkarsh and let loose a volley of orange colored streams towards him. As the rays of energy slammed into his form Thalkarsh reeled backwards a step letting loose a mighty roar from his toothy maw and shot his clawed hands forward, letting loose a pair of superheated spheres of flame. The fireballs impacted the top two turrets exploding with concussive force as the annoying gun placements burst into pieces, the strange metal they were made from rent from their housings and turning to a glittering dust. The monster then exploded in a flash of fire and reappeared in between the two floor turrets in a similar burst of fire as the two guns blasted towards his original location. Reaching out with both hands to either one of the turrets he gripped them and crushed their casings, causing them to turn to a similar shiny dust.

His muscular chest held four black holes each about the size of a baseball but no blood poured from the wounds. No, Thalkarsh did not actually have such a thing in his body. Instead, a strange purple black smoke smoldered out of them. The wounds soon closed as the beast shook his head in annoyance.

"Blasted things..." He muttered to himself in his deep echoing, multi-toned voice. "Now I am going to have to take a trip down to the campus earlier than planned to feed." He would need the emotions of a living creature to restore the essence lost repairing his strange body, having spent too much for the extended rest he wanted by healing his form. His Athanc, a queer glowing red crystal protruding from his forehead, dimmed noticeably at the loss of power. Most things didn't harm the Daemon so much but the weaponry used by these drones and guns seemed to cause considerable damage. "Such a bother..."

Minerva Rocha scanned the space around her as she few her ancient Lancer Space Fighter. The red headed agent was bored as she traveled through the empty space near the Shokushu. For once, the space lanes were pretty quiet leaving the young woman alone in her thoughts. The red head turned head and looked at the blue and green world of Shokushu, the world that her sister was currently residing on. She was so close, but she was not allowed to even set foot on the planet, forbidden from such by the ADD. One day, I will help you escape that horrific place. For now, there was little the beautiful agent could do but keep the space around Shokushu free of aliens.

It was then she saw a light in her fighter light up. Minerva immediately looked up what it meant and discovered that it was alarm at old mining facility in an asteroid not to far from here. The agent was familiar with that asteroid, it had been mined to help build Shokushu in the first place. After all the useful material had been taken out of the asteroid, the facility was completely abandoned and left to float a drift forever in the system. Eventually some slavers had found the asteroid and had used it as a staging point for their slave raids on Shokushu. The ADD had only just recently cleared out those slavers, leaving the asteroid empty once again.

To further discourage any other slavers using it again, the ADD had set up automated defenses to defend the facility. It was those automated defenses that alerted Minerva that once again the asteroid was occupied by someone. The red headed agent detached the fighter portion of her spacecraft and immediately began her fighter to the asteroid. After a few minutes the dated fighter had arrived in the hanger, the agent was quite surprised that there was no spacecraft already parked here. Still something someone or something that had triggered the automated defenses, and it was up to the beautiful red head to investigate.

The young woman clad in her armored form-fitting flight suit stepped out of her fighter and hopped to the floor below. The red headed agent doubled checked her equippment, making sure her rifle and pistol were ready to be used just in case she needed it. After taking a deep breath, Minerva slowly began moving into the depths of the mining facility to see what she could find in abandoned facility.
