the blue haired girl sits in class takeing notes.though her mind is truly on her master as she remebers the first time last week chewing absently on her pen.

He had already been in the room. In fact he was looking to do something a little different and he had taken the place of a student who had been absent. It was alright, if there wasn't one he would have just embedded false memories into the minds of the whole class as if he had always been a part of it.

There he was projecting that he was a brunette student. It was always awkward sitting as he had now and he had actually been paying some attention to the lecture, not that he hadn't already known this stuff from top to bottom.

He sensed her thoughts, feeling them drift back to that week and Sapphire had been the reason why he had been here in the first place. In her mind he began projecting something, a vivid day dream where she had been an Elf of curvaceous beauty, a large wrack and large sword stabbed to her back.

She was wearing armor, a light minthril shirt, grieves and bracers. She also had white feathery wings … not an Elf … slowly the information was forming in her mind as to what she was, where she was and the like.

Sapphire was in a throne room with similar creatures, all male save for the one at her side adorned in similar armor one with black hair and the other. Ikeisha, that was her name, a Priestess of a fair amount of power armed simply with a silver staff.

Next to her was a blue haired male, a wizard named Ailwin. He was young, barely a century old though very powerful serving as the court mage at such a young age. Most of the Avariel were spell casters, usually minor mages though Ailwin had distinguished himself.

“Are you sure about this daughter?” the King was saying as he gazed at her with warm blue eyes as something about a stolen magical orb pressed into her mind.

saphy blinks a few times as the scene inveloped her mind and vision feeling strangely fermilur as she nods to her father. then it hits her as she mentally asks if its her master.

He does not answer her not breaking the scene in her mind, It is so vivid though the King of the Avariel nods slightly as if in answer or perhaps in contemplating something.

“It will be difficult getting the Orb of the Summer's Blessing back from our enemies at Tempest. You propose to do just that wit just these two?”

“Very well,” the Avariel King, her father, King Sendin relaid. Little details were popping into her mind. The Kingdom was Mist on the Shadow (dimension) of Spire which was one huge mountain honeycombed with caverns and complete with ledges.

The capital of Mist had been Rhaac'var where she now was in a place on one of the numerous floating islands about the mountain each comprising of a different Kingdom, each laying claim to a portion of the mountain and the vast resources in the cave. Near her it was the veins of mythril that existed. Some say that long ago an asteroid collided with Spire leaving traces of the metal here. Some had other theories that visitors from other Shadows hid full suits and weapons in caves here, whichever the case the matter was kept a secret if it was mined or salvaged.

The Kingdom of Tempest had been the culprit indicated by Divinations. Queen Skye ruled over the Dragon-men and the floating island that made up their Kingdom had not been far but had been further up.

“We can assist with our magic,” Ikeisha announced. “Almithara will guide us.”

“Indeed, though how would you like to do this Princess? Infiltration and stealth or subterfuge.”

¨well we dont know their true motivations or numbers so id say send spys first. i volunteer to be the spy im the most stealthy but stay close you two just in case.¨ sapphire bows to her father then takes her leave already ready to go.once shes outside in her disquise she takes flight.

Ailwin nods he could use Illusions to disguise her, even invisibility though there is a chance the magical aura of his spells would be detected and the Dragon-men could perceive invisible things, well they couldn't see them but their heightened senses gave them keen hearing, sight and smell.

It was right, they were unsure as to the motives thus far and getting some answers had been best. As she takes flight the others follow. The air is crisp though the Avariel are resistant to natural cold.

As they make their way onward they see a Giant Eagle spiral down from the sky and vanish into the mist below. Others fly about a huge stone creature that is lobbing stone boulders at them.

Another of these stone behemoths targets a man on the ledge who seems to be battling the Giants with the assistance of the Eagles it seamed.

The boulder hurled at him shrinks the closer it gets until it is a pebble, the man hastily weaving an enchantment to do so. The man appeared human at this distance and it had not seemed that they had been noticed yet though four Eagles dwindled to three as another was smashed by one of the Giants.

¨we cant let him die like this we need to help!¨

Her compatriots nodded. Ailwin had more offensive mind magic and Ikeisha more defensive though each had a smattering of each. Of course, she probably had the greatest physical abilities among them and thus trained well in that large blade of hers.

As Sapphire spoke another Eagle was swatted by the massive Stone Giant that had been somewhat distracted leaving his kin to square off against the human wizard. The man must have lost his spell component pouch or only knew a few spells since now he was resorting to defensive spells to evade the incoming attacks rather than launching his own.

He was trying to withdraw too though upon seeing it one of the Giants smashed the ledge with a well thrown boulder braking the ledge away and preventing the man from escape.

Ikeisha bolstered their defenses with a defensive spell to ward them from attacks and increase their luck a little in the regard of evasion. Ailwin began an offensive spell, the skies darkening overhead as a roar of thunder boomed out.

“I'm going to need a bit of time, Princess,” given the power of the adversary Ailwin was bringing out the big guns to deal with the threat.

sapphire nods and does a quick dive bomb to catc the giants off guard her blade slashing at ones neck before quickly flying out of range.

A combination of grace and the defensive aura that Ikeisha had tossed up had allowed her to fly forth. Her skill at Kendo translated over to her skill with her heavy blade her and though she struck one of the Giants it seemed to be comprised of rock. If flesh she would have had little trouble slicing through his neck.

As it were his attention shifted from the human at the Avariel as she swooped away.

“ANNOYING GNAT!”

The Giant boomed out launching a boulder at her but missing. Taring a chunk out of the mountain he effectively rearmed himself. It showed that her attack had some effect even if it had not been lethal the Giant was hurt or annoyed by her flying about so closely.

She wove in and out, her ability to evade had been boosted though after one such pass a bolt of lightning streaked down from the storm clouds above. It collided with the Giant who went limp and fell … whether dead or stunned she had not had time to look.

"BROTHER!” The other Giant snapped, the last of the summoned Eagles had been killed and the Giant looked enraged but also confused as to which of the four targets to unleash that fury on ...

sapphire smiled as her maneuverability let her move around the second giant and slam her blade into its back the force she hopes to push it off the cliff.

With the ledge already crumbled away and the man being the closet target the Giant shifted towards the human and had been hit the Princess from behind with enough force where he stumble, the ledge, already weakened, crumbled ant the Giant plummeted from it with a scream that seemed drawn out until the mists below swallowed him whole leaving the quartet in an eerie silence afterward ...
