Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Neither guard had seemed to notice that the dress she was wearing was a different shade, few saw her in the original after all and thus this was something neither had picked up on. They had not seen her before now after all.
The young man hesitated at the wall looking for the right stone to open the door before casting an awkward glance back at her.
"I got some meat you can fill up on." He gazed at her with rather lewd eyes until the other commanded his to check the other rooms.
"Oberron, where is he?" The older of the two answered as the younger finally located the ride stone, opened up the room, swept it with his eyes then after glancing beneath the bed he moved to the wash room checking there.
"Is that so? What are you willing to offer up for those morsels? You seem to lack any currency to buy said food."
But before she had a chance to answer the younger guard had returned grabbing his attention again. "He's not here, sir."
The older guard paused for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, stay here and guard her I'll go look for the king. Regretfully pinning him down when he is more or less given free reign is difficult. Lucky for him he did not show his face here."
He left after that, totally ignoring her requests for food as he headed off she could hear his descending foot falls on the stairs. Thus she found herself alone with the younger guard, the door to the bedroom wide opened and though she could not see Oberron she knew that in their haste the guards did not lock the door behind them just yet.
The guard stood close, arms across his chest as he glared at her. "Where is he miss. Sable already knows he's been here. Fess up and she'll probably go easy on him unless he's done something to you in which case no one could help either of you."

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia bit her lip watching the younger one run his hands over the stone wall out of the corner of her eye. Alynia looked down at her feet squeezing her knees together trying to hide her disgust as the guard made advances on her. She was glad to not be given the opportunity to respond for she had no clue what to say. Continuing to play the desperate prisoner would certainly be more dangerous for her than she expected, but Alynia really didn't have many other options
"He's not here, sir." the younger one had said.
Alynia let out the tiniest breath of relief, but other than that her expression did not change. She was silent as the other guard left to search the rest of the castle. She turned to face the younger one who was she thought was trying to intimidate her. "I'm sorry I have no idea." She answered quietly. Alynia found it much easier to speak when she was both telling the truth and not incredibly worried about the man in question. Alynia brought her eyes up to look at him, he was standing a bit close for comfort. "I don't know who you're talking about, and no one has done anything to me." Alynia declared. She promptly walked past the guard to stand a further distance away from him. She felt rather uncomfortable in a room with just him alone.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
He regarded her shrewdly or perhaps he was envisioning what he was going to do with her. Fortunately for her sake the guard was rather new and wasn't as depraved yet as those in the dungeons. Simply put he seemed more afraid of Sable, or so she guessed whereas the guards in the gungeon knew that only the worst of the worst came their way anyway. Of course this was a tower indicating that the prisoner was of some importance.
"Very well, I guess it won't matter." It was apparent that she had some company for the guard was not leaving. Her hungry was growing more and more intense and she rationalized at least an hour had past, maybe even longer before there was a soft knock at the door.
"Enter it's unlocked."
Slowly the door was pressed opened and Oberron entered the chamber/ His eyes darted around as he took in the simple room then set his eyes upon Alyina. He let his eyes slowly dip down then up her body nodding approvingly at what he saw.
"If I were a few centuriereplaced s younger ...." then to the guard, "Sable will send your relief in the morning. You are not to touch the prisoner, not to even speak with her, Sable's orders not mine oh, and I filched this from the kitchens."
As if from nowhere he produced a bottle of wine, showed the guard the label then produced two goblets pouring each of them drinks. He took a sip from his glass as he pass the other to the guard.
"Your senior past out already. Careful, this is strong," the guard took a sip then would have collapsed to the floor had not he caught him on the way down and he guided him gently the rest of the way, "stuff ... oh, dear."
Oberron grinned, gazing back at her. "Food, yes food, now what to pilfer ..." the wine and glasses vanished replaced by a large cold cut consisting of just meat and cheese though various bowls of chopped tomatos, onion, lettuce and so forth bobbed in the air so she could but whatever fixings on the sandwich she liked.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia had been sitting next to the guard leaning against the wall when Oberron stroded in. After hte gaurd fell she leaned over poking the guard with interest, delighted that he didn't even stir. She stood back up looking at Oberron with an expression mixed with disbelief and amusement."What are you doing here?" She asked exasperated. "For goodness sake you can't be found here." She rolled her eyes as the sandwich appeared out of no where.
Alynia seemed conflicted for a bit but eventually gave into her hunger. After spooning on some lettuce and tomatoes she took a large grateful bite she chewed thoughtfully looking directly at Oberron. She swallowed before she spoke. "I'm not even going to ask how you did it." She sighed with disbelief. "I was so worried." She was pouting. "And as much as I want to know how you got rid of the other one..." she looked at the passed out, if not dead, guard and took another bite of the sandwich, chewed and swallowed quickly. "I wasn't kidding when I said you can't be found with me."
"Ths better not be poisoned too.." She muttered sitting back down, shoving the guard away from her with her feet, giving Oberron enough room to sit down if he wished. Even though she was overly relieved she continued to eat her sandwich glumly... it was delicious. "I can't express how relieved I am that you're alright, but I won't forgive you if you get caught." she stated stubbornly. "No matter how many of these you give me..." she added sternly finishing the cold cut.
"There. I'm so infuriated with you that I didn't even offer you a bite." She said sucking her fingers at him. "And so you know, it was delicous."
Alynia sighed looking at Oberron moving to embrace him tightly. "But really, I was scared to death. And I don't want you to leave me, but you must. I can't bear to have the thought of you in pain." She said softly squeezing her eyes shut.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
He sat beside her, silent as she ate and talked. He conjured up a goblet of wine, smiled and shoook his head. "No, it is not poisoned, nor was the stuff I gave to the guard. It was merely Gogondy, a gnomish drink that puts you into a slumber for about ten years if you're not fey." He was already waving a hand in front of him. "The effects are easy enough to undo and I can bring him around in the morning. Really, I didn't expect him to drink it so willingly but fortunately he had.
"Earlier I just used a basic trick that I normally would not have had the magically ability to do so but you can say you presence ... right, can't tell you just yet least that influence your decisions."
He conjured up another sandwich for her, relayed to her that he had already eaten. "So it looks as if Sable's gone a little parnoid with the guards on my account really. The guards haven't seen me wondering about as often and thought I had defiled you just to ruin Sable's plans. Hence your guest now to insure that nothing happens to you. He is young, easy to manipulate and fears Sable to the point that he won't tell her or anyone for that matter that he already past out.
"You can be mad at me all you want though I have lived long enough to realize that human emotions come and go with the changing of the day. While I would not wish to have your ire a year or two is really nothing for me to deal with.
"Oh, and there was another thing too, Sable gave me some books to look over, scribing the proper symbols and what not. Basic ritual stuff though she doesn't know the half of it. She is not too diverse but this is to our gain.
"Now, you could send me away and I shall do as you command but you won't or rather I'm hoping you won't. The guards have been disabled, we learned what Sable was after and well, I just won't get caught that's all there is too that."
The embrace was returned in kind, pressed chest to chest as they were he gazed up at her again. "The illusion will be an early warning and we can look the door again to further delay anyone. I have regained the ability to go invisible, albeit for shor periods but how likely is that going to come up. Besides, I would like to stay for a little while at least. Knowing that you may be in pain is as devestating to me as the prospect of mine is to you. In this last day you have given me more hope then the centuries I had previous being imprisoned in this place."

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia's expression turned more relaxed as Oberron explained things to her. "Must you revive him at all?" she asked looking at the passed out man. Still shaking off her previous feeling of anxiety she bit into the next sandwich.
This time she silently ate while listening to Oberron. After she finished Alynia looked back at him thinking. "I'm glad you're becoming more powerful, and though I have my suspicions I won't press on the matter." she stated carefully. She wouldn't deny that she was beyond curious, but piecing bits and bits together they was able to gain enough to make her wait until she was fully explained to.
She peered at him and frowned but situated herself so she could lean her head on his shoulder again. "It's not fair" she sighed, "You know that I can't be mad at you if you treat me so well." she muttered enjoying his earthy scent and the feeling of his steady breathing. "See you make it so that I can't imagine being without you. You feed me all these ideas about a life with you. And you woo me over with all this magic and romance..." Alynia sighed in annoyance.
Though she truly wanted to be mad at the fey king, she couldn't bring herself to. "Your doing this on purpose to drive me up a wall." she accused resting her head on his shoulder watching him sip his wine. She allowed her eyes to flutter close in complete relief feeling much better after scolding. And so, they sat there like that for a few more moments of relaxation.
"Where do you want to go?" she asked him suddenly. She meant of course another one of his highly realistic illusions. "I picked the beach. It's only fair you select another location." Alynia liked the idea of using the illusion as their very own security system. "Only if you have enough energy." she added kindly not wanting to impose on him more than she already was.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
"No,, I do not have to wake him though it is best to do so before tomorrow when he will be discovered bh his relief so we could leave him out all night long. Gogondy was always a favorite of mine, technically speaking it's a poison to humans but being fey I can drink it without much effect so by doing so it makes others less suspicious. Of course it is rather expensive and rare. Regretfully that bottle is about 500 years old too and aged nicely I rather use it to celibrate but this is close enough."
He delighted in her closeness continuing to speak as she at. His hand came to rest on her knee stroking against it back and forth.
"You are partially correct, I would never do something to deliberately drive you wild ... well, ok, not in that way of course," he grinned, "and there are things I wish to relay to you of course that I am unable to do so now." His hand was running in lazy circles against her knee as he felt her head on his shoulder. He considered for a moment before the room started reshaping itself into they were sitting on a cliff.
The sky was a splash of colors, oranges, reds and pinks as the sun slowly set over the enomourus expanse of ocean below. Down below at the base of the cliff was a great forest, majestic and ancient.
The guard transformed into a boulder while others sprang up into being. A few trees appeared around them and a blanket appeared beneath them.
A basket of food, a bottle of wine and other little things existed on the blanket. "It would seem that Sable is covering her pets and trying to prevent us from getting together tomorrow night too without an audience. These illusions are pretty basic and draw little power individually. While they may have been taxing to maintain in the past I am able to draw a little more power. Invisibility for instance is a rather mundane ability I possess but I've lacked the power to use it these last few centuries until today, though of course I never really needed to use it anymore than I did today."

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia blushed at his words and glanced away to watch the room melt into his desired location interested in what he would come up with. She enjoyed the feeling of his worn hands on her knee, but just because she was a stubborn female she refused to acknowledge it.
"It's lovely." she mused glancing off of the cliff not very surprised to see a forest. She settled back down resting against Oberron, though not fully forgiving him, she felt too relieved to deny him of contact. She reached foward picking up the bottle of wine and intently reading the label to her dismay it was in fey dialect, but since Alynia assumed it wasnt anything that would put her into years of sleep she partially filled a glass of her own.
Drinking her glass, she listened to the distant sound of the waves she so much liked to hear. There were many complicated thoughts running through her head. Each idea turning more frantic as time waned out. She couldn't believe that the planet alignment was suppose to be tomorrow and everything that Oberron had refrained from telling her would be told. Alynia glanced quickly at the man she was leaning against wondering for a brief moment what he was thinking about.
"Well, tomorrow.. would you still have me?" she asked as casually as such a question could come. She took another small sip of the wine before setting it down on the blanket before them. "Also, against my better wishes, would you know if it was still safe to risk the dungeons for the hunter tonight?" Alynia had been wondering this question for quite some time. She really wanted to see if not save the hunter and his sister from such a terrible fate, but if the guards were much more active,as they were according to him, maybe it wouldn't be so wise to risk another trip. "Do not misunderstand. I really do want to rescue him, but I will trust your judgement on this matter.."

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
"It's Din, an elven delicacy. Not as strong as Gogondy but I wouldn't have to stoop to knocking you out to have my way with you or anything." He snickered, obviously he did not mean that he would ... of course there was the thing where she might thing that she was unattractive because he wouldn't too, humans were so hard to read at times.
He glanced at her as she asked her questions, thinking.
"They may have different guards here tomorrow night or he," glancing to one of the boulders, "might get suspicious of future drinks offered to him especially by me. "So sadly we may not have tomorrow, and to think things were going so well too. Of course I have the night to think about what I could do to draw away guards and it may not be as difficult to do now."
He considered the dungeons for a small moment, rubbed his chin, then nodded. "Most of the new found protections are for your sake the dungeons are unchanged and thus getting around in them will be easier. It may not even matter in the long run if things fall into place as I suspect."

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Alynia laughed, "Oh I don't believe you'd take advantage of my poor drinking abilities like that." she stated sipping a bit more wine. "and I certainly hope I am correct in thinking so." She teased relaxing a bit more now she had some alcohol in her system. "Well I hope you won't mind if I trust you to fool the guards and make your way over here tomorrow.. and I will do my best to stay far from who ever is guarding me." Really, she didn't have much of a choice saying she wasn't allowed to leave her tower.
Alynia hummed relaxed, she liked being next to Oberron. It was the only place she felt safe in this dreaded castle. she imaged what it would've been like if Sable'a reign was overthrown and smiled at the thought. She let her mind wander breifly, Alynia wondered what time it was.
"Well if your willing to brave it, I'm entirely willing to follow." she continued referring to the dungeons. "I don't believe he's going to wake up while we are gone." she said glancing at the boulder giggling slightly. "But really, why a boulder?"

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
"It matched the illusion better, rather than just having a body lying there. And perhaps you're wrong, drink up, drink up and we'll see." He mused with a grin on his face though he soon shook his head, reluctant to stand he did.
"No we, we can't risk it and the guards in the dungeons are far more barbaric as you remember. I have no problems moving around down there, though I might arise suspicion if I'm seen being curious about a new prisoner has worked in the past as well as lying and saying I was partaking in a certain prisoner, highly believable since the guards know that Sable hardly cares and that men, human men, have base needs so they sort of transfer this onto other species as well.
"No miss, focus on your thoughts about tomorrow. I need not have you getting hurt or dwelling on things that happened there. I will free the hunter and his sister tonight though but will be unable to join you for supper but don't fret, here," he produced another bottle of wine and more cold cuts. "Hide these in your room and eat when you grow hungry. Should I arrive at any given time tomorrow? Before his relief shows I can be here, invisible and awake him so the relief isn't too suspicious. He'll be confused as all hell but won't want the ire of Sable coming down on him so he won't say nothing about sleeping the day to any of his buddies."

Re: Failure (for Alynia)
She looked up at him as he stood. She had a smile of disbelief, "Remind me to watch my wine intake when I'm with you." she said with a playful frown resisting the erdge to pick up hr glass again. She listened to his plan intently, though a bit unamused that she was to stay in her tower. She understood that it was for the best. Alynia needed no more run ins with any more dungeon guards.
"I will be fine other than the fact that I will be missing your company. I'll be good and stay put." Alynia assured him reluctantly. "Once again, I cannot thank you enough."
"As long as you're confident that you will be alright.. I have no choice but to trust you." she muttered, there was really nothing more she could do. "Must you leave me now?" she asked looking from off the cliff side back at him. Even though Alynia knew there was no other reason for him to stand besides to go.
She tilted her head upward looking at him. "If you are parting, I expect atleast a kiss before you go." she said with a smile.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
He grinned down at her as he extended his hands out to her to assist her forward a little. Of course he being shorter than her she did not have to completely stand in order to reach her.
"I am afraid so, there's much I have to do if your friend is to escape tonight before his sister is killed and I don't think I'll be back tonight. Of course, it goes without saying that I shall miss you dearly as we are parted."
His lips, warm and hot made contact with her own ripple a warm glow that flowed between them. The kiss was more energentic than she had remembered, almost as drugging as a complete glass of wine too in the sense that it coursed through her senses. He lingered though, evidence that he did not wish to part or perhaps he was waiting for something as he held her hands in his. Yes, he was waiting or delaying the inevitable.
Though it became evident when she kissed him and that soft glow briefly swept over his skin for as long as they held that kiss. She could feel his tongue sliding against her own briefly until the kiss was broken, the glow lingered for perhaps a second or two after their kiss terminated then was gone. He smiled down at her, thanked her, kissed her once more then he was gone.
The illusion persisted at least until the morning, it fading when the relief came up the stairs, opened the door which still was not locked at this stage seeing how they had a guard in the room giving rise to a mountain of a man, the red headed warrior gazed at the lump of a guard on the floor then to her.
"You did this?" He questioned though it seemed that he did not know how. He shook the guy with a foot, he did not stir so he kicked him in the ribs getting a howl out of the man. Either Oberron managed to slip in while invisible and dispel the alcohol's effect or did something last evening. He did glow for a second or so longer than usual.
"Shift's over. I'd say get some rest but you already did so get your ass down to the dungeon. They had an escape last night and , two actually, and Sable's pissed about it."
The guard clutched painfully at his ribs, answered in the affirmative and scrambled out of here.
"Looks like you wore him out, young guys don't have too much staying power." But he waved a hand in front of him dismissing her rebuff. "Just kidding miss. Even he has enough sense not to touch you. Though I can't fault you for using your wily charms against him, he snuck you a drink right? I could smell the liquor on his breath."

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
Though a bit lonelier, Alynia rather enjoyed the rest of her evening watching the sunset on the grassy cliff occasionally taking a casual drink from a glass of wine. She even treated herself to a log enjoyable warm bath before turning in for the night. She has fallen asleep watching the stars after hiding the remains of her dinner and wine safety behind her mirror.
Alynia had heard the lower door open aswell as felt the illusion melt away so she quickly sat up fixing herself to be more presentable. Though she didn't expect it to be Oberron for he had told her he would be invisible, she still believed it would be best if she didn't appear disheveled.
"You did this?" the guard had asked, Alynia responded by shaking her head wordlessly. She watched silently as the boulder man woke up wondering for a brief moment if Oberron was back. Her expression changed into a look of innocent curiousity as the guard mentioned about the prison escape. She had to stop herself from smiling, and though she was very interested I how it has happened she decided it would be best to not mention it until she was alone with Oberron.
She watched the other guard retreat down the stairs and looked back red haired man. She stood up slightly bowing before nodding her head carefully. "He brought me some wine." she lied wondering if her breath had an alcohol scent aswell. Alynia had been careful to wash out her mouth last night but she was never too sure. "Though I can assure you I have no wily charms to decieve to with."
Though Alynia thought it would be wise to pretend to be hungry, she didn't want what happened yesterday to repeat itself. Alynia was glad that Sable had given the order for no one to touch her, but she had no way to judge how loyal the guards would be to the witch's commands.

Re: Failure (for Alyina)
The guare was gazing at her, attempting to read her an ascertain the truth behind certain things. He listened without interupting though he simply nodded about the wine.
"Oh, I seriously doubt that. If the men weren't so afraid of Sable I'm willing to bet they'd be all over you. I'm surprised that lethch, Oberron didn't try to have his way with you, he's had dalliances here before and thus it wouldn't be beneath him.
"But, truthfully something did happen, correct? I don't care either way I just do as instructed but see my brother's the tailor. He went on and on about these dresses he made, two of them, though he was mortified that one would be used continously, the other for the ritual. Neither is that particular shade, similar yes but different nevertheless. So what happened? Someone get a little frisky and give you that after damaging the dress. I bet it was that Oberron fellow, say the word and I'll take care of that little dwarf, gnome, whatever he is."
