Leriana kept her expression guarded. Or at least tried to. She had never liked being scolded by someone in authority, teacher or otherwise. She had adored, nearly worshiped Katya. And deep inside her, masked by several barriers that even a powerful empath would struggle to breach, she was starting to dislike Vera for dismissing her efforts so cruelly. Even Leriana wasn't aware of it so well was it hidden. She flushed as she finished her bow and rose, leaving the room before Vera found any more faults to pick apart and throw in her face.

She maintained her grace and calm all the way out of the building and towards her dorm room, hoping that Alisa would have something ready for her. Deep inside she was already starting to hope that Katya would return and take her back ... and that Vera would let her return to Katya when that did happen. But until then she would try to serve Vera as best as she could, and earn the white haired head girls approval.

There was no point in hiding anything from the Head Girl. The woman's aura spoke volumes as she bowed and quickly fled from her suite. Vera could have stopped Leriana and punished her for leaving without responding to her questions but she let the matter go. If the Prefect breaks then there would be no point in continuing further. She would simply take the sash and leave the woman as a student for the rest of her time on the island.

More than likely, the new Prefect was already wishing she was never transfered. Quite frankly, so did Vera. She had better things to do than to babysit such a woman. Everything Leriana did felt forced like she was only doing it to get her approval and not because she believed in her responsibilities and duties. It was like those teacher's pets in class who only do the right thing in order to earn praise and not because they are required to do so. It showed in the woman's actions, only doing a little bit and making it seem like it was more than that. Perhaps she was being a bit harsh to the woman, she was certain that Katya was not so incompetent as to hire a useless Prefect unless this was a purely a matter of having a companion. But only gave Vera more reasons to be harsh. She was not Katya nor will she ever be and Leriana will have to realize that. As far as she was concerned, this woman was not a Prefect until she earns the right to wear that sash again by her standards.

Sighing softly, Vera began to eat the meal that was prepared. It was well made and tasted wonderfully. Once finished, she was left to tend to the dishes herself before finally returning to her desk to work till it was time to clean up and go to bed. The next few days will decide if she had a new Prefect or not.
