“I could transform to fight evil!”

That wasn't what I was expecting. My eyes scan her again as if appraising her for the first time. “Transform like the Hulk?” That didn't seem right to me. My default was movies after all. No, I conclude.

“Or more like Sailor Moon?” I've seen some episodes that have been in syndication for years now. Plus being Japanese I was more familiar with it then American movies.

“Sailor Moon!”

“A magical girl transformation! Like wands and everything? What sort of evil did you fight?” I could have used help dealing with Kyo but every event affects others. If I didn't have to deal with Kyo I wouldn't have met the doctor which lead me here where I was faced with this troubling Mushi problem.

“Criminals.”

“Did you do it alone?” It was hard for me to imagine her by herself as a magical girl thwarting crime. That was not to say I thought she was lying, just that the magical girl animes that I saw had teams dealing with issues.

“I had a team!”

A could picture a team a bit easier. I still didn't know what powers she had or might still have. “So as far as criminals normal people? Or was there a supernatural element to things?”

“Some supernatural stuff!”

“Oh?” I consider the matter a bit. “Like wizards and stuff? Other magical girls?”

I think about the various elements. Did any of the Mushi cross over back in Japan? I hadn't heard of anything. Nor did I experience it throughout my life. Only here but I guess there could be other locations too that I am unaware of.
