Release (for Vera)
That was the thing about having so much time on your hands, it was far easier to get bored of course he was far more patient then most often waiting months or years for something to play out. So as he lazy flickered a tentacle about the surface of the pool's cold waters he had considered things.
He again found himself rather bored and reflected upon several possibilities of what to do with himself this evening. He had no more active nodes either, which meant that he had to do his own leg work. Such a pain, he never knew how useful those little extensions of himself where until he no longer had them around. Still, it only took a few months to grow another and then he would not have to concern himself with it.
But as he considered he found himself drifting off to a rather pleasant encounter he had with Clair which lead him to one involving her lover Kanoe too. He had been about to consider a nightly visit to her again when he followed the trail of memories that he had stole from her head during that encounter.
Like little file cards he drifted through names and faces that she encountered then stopped upon one in particular. A head girl, well that could be interesting, it at least beat hanging out in the cove all day so he entered the pool swimming through various under water caverns until he emerged at the beach. He gazed at the sky finding that it was darkening, late evening had been approaching was his guess for those did not look like storm clouds, still a blessing to his sensitive eyes as he slithered along leaving the ocean well and truly behind him.
He gave it some thought, he only had the blond girl's memories to work with here and what she knew. He could try the dorms or try his luck at the classrooms, she, perhaps would be in the math department though it was simply a guess on his part and reaffirmed the fact that he had to grow other nodes for this kind of stuff as he wrapped himself in an illusion taking the form of a student.
Since his illusions tapped into the minds of the perceiver it was unlikely that other monsters would be deceived by this unless he encountered them already and attuned himself to their differences in brainwaves but he was not worried about this since he was not trying to fool them. He just wanted some cover in the event that he was seen.
The math department was as good as any place to start, if he found her then great, if not he could look around a bit and possible gather her position from the minds of others. If not he could always check the dorms. So with that in mind he boldly approached the classes.

Re: Release (for Vera)
Whether is a due to analysis or simply an educated guess, the silver haired Head Girl was currently in the math building. Having been on the island for many years now, she had long since finished all the necessary math credits for her degree. But as a Head Girl sets the example of going above and beyond, Vera had volunteered herself a tutor and a teaching assistant. This gave her further experience in the math field and ensured her skills did not atrophy from lack of use like most subjects did for college students.
Vera wore the same uniform as everyone else. It was in perfect condition while still hugging her body and the skirt revealed much of her bare thighs. Long silver hair trailed in her wake as she moved about the front of the classroom, writing on the white board. The one significant differance between her attire and the rest of the students was the light blue sash that hung loosely around her waist.
She reviewed and helped students with their math work in a ressitation class for calculus. This was her last shift for the day as she wrote various algorithms and formulas to help solve various real life problems. The class was small with a number of students having not shown up which she would have to mark demerits for them later in the afternoon. It was to be expected though as many students were fearful of the light blue sash that symbolized that the student was a Head Girl. Vera could feel the emotions radiating from each student ranging from intimidation to straight up fear.
Despite the rumors and stories about Head Girls, Vera spoke calmly as she taught the class. What few questions that were asked were answered directly and without hesitation. For the silver haired woman, she held no hatred towards any of the students. This was merely her job and duty to assist these students to excel in their classes. Even if their fates would all end up the same in the end.

Re: Release (for Vera)
Aaegir found himself flowing through the building as if he had frequented the place often enough to be familiar with it. Truth be told he had seldomly come here but the memories of his victims were strong enough to guide him about with ease.
He found that his disguise had been unnecessary though for he had not run across any other students, and the brain waves of those he sensed behind classroom doors had been few. He did sense a few monsters in the mix amongst the students but assumed that others were just getting started in their games of deception or perhaps they were already enjoying the main course ... he did not pry into minds thoroughly enough to learn his answers though he was busy with locating his mark.
He found her, sensing her just beyond this closed oak door. He sensed other minds with her, a few students as he stood there absorbing information onto his mind and learning just what Vera was doing as well as the thoughts of the other students at hand.
Getting into the room was easy enough too, though right now he simply tapped into the minds of those present, seeing through their senses, jumping around a bit to get a full view of the room itself before settling on one student inparticular that seemed to be paying more attention to what he was interested in.
This one was Racquel Summers, a mousey haired girl that was actually paying attention. She was watching Vera as she scribbled down notes, her head poking up from her pad of paper often enough so that he could see the silver haired girl, that made Aegir wonder why he had not approached her sooner. She was desireable enough though he good read her experiences in her mind beginning with her recent memories, her time here at Shokushu he became aware that she knew more than the average student about this place, which he believed would make her more accepting of her role, she knew what was expected and wouldn't need to be broken in to this or be horrified by events which would make things far more interestesting.
For now however he waited her in the hall as he tapped into Vera's memories.

Re: Release (for Vera)
Vera was certainly more refined and disciplined compared to other students. Her empathic abilities made her mind a bit more resistant to invasion. But in the end, she was still only a mere human woman. The Head Girl continued to teach and tutor the students, unaware that someone was reading her memories like a book and learning everything there was to the silver haired woman.
She was raised under strict expectations set by her family. Her education and training was the best money could buy, preparing the young woman to survive the world of business. With the aid of her empathy and strong will, Vera proved herself to be very proficient at a young age. Her memories included running a company before she was even finished with high school. But such quick growth brought concern for her families businesses. As the final part of her 'training' they sent her off to Shokushu to finish her degree.
The memories of her years on the island were mixed to say the least. She was an ordinary student but was one of the unlucky few that earned the attention of the monsters. Naturally, the woman panicked and tried to report the attacks but only earned herself visits to a psychiatrist. Vera turned to the occult to help defend herself and eventually earned herself the attention of the Headmasters themself. Her options were simple, submit or be sent off to slavery. She accepted the sash and in turn became a slave to a Headmaster, learning the truth and purpose of this planet and island while also being trained to properly serve her new owners.
The rest of her memories were just her work. She has punished numerous students to various degrees, always attempting to educate them of their wrongs and correct their behavior to better serve the school. She has worked with the staff and even monsters in various things. Of course she was no exempt from being attacked but living high up in a tower suite did give some deterent to less persistant beings. Her training and behavior running a company naturally flowed into her methods in performing her duties as a Head Girl. She ensured order was maintained in order to keep monsters coming to the island for more prey and not attack Earth.

Re: Release (for Vera)
All this was somewhat interesting to Aegir. Her mental fortitude was stronger than most but he found that he was able to overcome her defenses and look into matters. He was so use to those that either had little experience with monsters or were terrified that this could prove interesting since her reactions would be different to say the least.
He also had been aware of the fact that she was shrewder then most if she was running a company at such a young age then no doubt she had enough merit to do so. And her desires to keep things running smoothly only told him that she had come to accept her role, in fact he was ruffling through some of her latest memories and how those encounters went to better gauge her reactions.
But a portion of his mind dwelled on the fact that she disciplined some of the students, taking her roll as head girl seriously. He considered for a moment, then delved into Vera's mind further and the minds of those students present as he focused on one of the students in the class as he rounded a corner ducking into the shadows as he conjured up an illusion.
Stephanie Miller, a petite girl that would suffice. She was among one of those that had not showed up, but more importantly she had a little bit of a rebellious streak going for her. He peeked around the corner using his telekinesis on the door to open it though onlookers would perceive the illusion opening the door. And since he was tapped into the minds of the students directing it wasn't a problem either.
"Sorry, sorry, I got held up." She rummaged through the pocket of her skirt and pulled out a fold slip as she headed up to the front of the room where Vera was.

Re: Release (for Vera)
Usually, things were safe while teaching or attending a full classroom. Vera's guard was not up not that having it up would change the outcome of a monster attack. But with her knowledge and experience, she at least knew the various enviroments and settings that monsters tend to attack most frequently. She had hoped that they would not interupt her tending to other students but in the end she had no say in such things.
Unaware of the manipulations, all the students looked over to see a student arriving late. Being late was enough to earn demerits but it was a light infraction as Vera saw it as at least the girl attempted to arrive to the class which is certainly a step above those who skipped entirely. The Head Girl recognized the tardy student and had a few demerits due to various past infractions in the past. The woman approached her and seemed to have an excuse on a slip of paper. Perhaps there was a valid excuse for arriving late and interupting her class.
"Very well," she replied, "Have a seat, Miss Miller." Vera accepted the slip of paper, dismissing the student to her chair as she briefly opened it to see if there was any staff member's signature on the paper. Whether there was one or not, she would return to teaching soon as she got that bit of information.

Re: Release (for Vera)
Aegir had not planned to interrupt her, but rather was curious as to how Vera handled herself and thus sent the illusion. He noted that she was empathic and had to project emotions of some kind seemingly from the illusion so there wasn't a blank slate there. For this he called upon her memories again from what she normally got from the girl so nothing would seem amiss.
While Vera wasn't on her guard so to speak neither was it his plan to burst into the class anyway, he could careless about the majority of students, and there were one or two that he already had interacted with on some level.
But looking at the slip of paper it flowed in the nurse's nearly illegible script concerning Steph's roommate, who broke her arm and was assisted to the office by Steph, hence her lateness. However, while the penmanship was the nurses, it may have been a clever forgery too as it was unsigned, the nurse hurriedly scribbling something down too busy to remember to sign it and all too eager to send Steph off on her way. So that could have been just as likely.

Re: Release (for Vera)
The slip lacked a proper signature but that could very well be due to the staff member's error. It would not be the first time that paper work was not properly filled out. That was an evil that one who worked for a large company had to deal with. Vera would have to go speak with the nurse to inform her of the mistake as well as ensure that the student was in fact injured.
She sensed the usual nervousness coming from the student, perhaps expecting Vera to lash out anyway. There was not enough proof to cause any uproar. The nervousness could be because it was a fabrication or that she noticed that she failed to get a signature. The Head Girl will be sure to remind the student after class to make sure to get the signature in the future. If there is time, she may have the student stay after to ensure she gets the necessary notes for todays review.
The matter dealt with, Vera turned to the board and continued writing and explaning various equations. She also stated what number and page of the book she was on for the tardy student. Beyond that, the Head Girl noticed nothing out of the ordinary and so she simply continued on her regular routine of teaching the class. If nothing else happens, she would ask a few questions to the class that she expected to hear answers then dismiss them. Steph would hear her name called to come to the desk at that point to inform her of the mistake on the excuse slip.

Re: Release (for Vera)
Of course the not wouldn't stand up to an investigation. Their was no roommate with a broken arm, their was no rcollection of the matter with the nurse and the script outside of Aegir's presence wouldn't exist either as it was an illusion, the memory of the handwriting taken from Vera's mind.
But class carried on without incident but as Steph was called there was a certain uneasiness that settled in her approaching nervousness. She fumbled with her book as she was storing it away in her bag.
"Of course ... one moment ..."
In her haste she nearly tripped over her book bag. That earlier nervousness that slowly dissipated in class returned as she stood before Vera, hands clasped together and in front of her, she looked timidly at her instructor.
"Yes, professor?"

Re: Release (for Vera)
"Please," she said as she waved her hand, "I am a Head Girl, not a professor. Miss Matsumoto is fine." The student was nervous but nearly all of them were when in her presence. If that alone was enough to accuse someone, she would have everyone down in the basement at that rate. "It does appear this was written by the school nurse. But you should make sure that you get her signature as well. Even if she is busy, it is important to have valid documentation telling where you are at what time. This protects you more than it helps the school. Try to remember this next time you are held up, Miss Miller."
"We went over what was taught by your professor this morning," she continued, "Be sure to have gone over chapter nine and the problems there. If you are having difficulty, talk to a classmate or you may come to my suite if you have further questions. I wish your roommate a speedy recovery. Goodday, Miss Miller."
Having said her piece, Vera would finish putting away her notes and head towards the door. Her first stop would be the nurses office to verify the slip of paper she still thought she had. It would save her trip back to campus if she takes care of this now before returning to her suite up in the tower.

Re: Release (for Vera)
"Yes, prof ... head ... Miss Matsumoto." She stumbled over her words as she bowed to her in forgiveness. She was not asian but seemed to adopt some of the traits based on her name alone perhaps. She turned to go after asking if that was all. "An oversight I imagine, I'll make sure to get it next time."
She got back to her back, jammed in the notebook and pen, paused then looked back. "There's track practice today so most of the girls I can think of will be busy with that but if you're going to be free this afternoon there were a few things we were going over that didn't make too much sense to me, sign, cosign and tangent, that stuff messed my mind up a bit and I haven't got a firm grasp on it yet."
After confirming a time Steph hastily departs, the trip to the nurse would reveal that there was no recollection of the incident however, and the slip of paper would be gone as Aegir busied himself with manuevering closer to the suit to be in position for further illusions rather than having this one fully add up, of course he didn't want things to add up anyway so he moved along looking for a place to hide when he got to the suit.
Locked doors were no real obstacle to him, he could use telekinesis on the lock or flow beneath the crack of the door squeezing and compressing his body. It was easier to use telekinesis though which he did, locking the door behind him as he quickly looked around in the guise of a student. Finding a closet he moved towards it, paused and thought better of it where he would like to see the enterence and simply stood in the corner of the room planning to alter Vera's brain waves when he sensed them so that she wouldn't perceive him at all so he could remain in plain sight, even follow her about if necessary while remaining hidden at the same time.

Re: Release (for Vera)
The trip to the nurse was confusing to say the least. Finding out that no incident had happened was troubling enough. But, when she went to pull out the slip that the nurse wrote on, she could not find it. Vera was not one to forget or absently lose things. In any case, she had an appointment with the student in question and she was going to learn alot more than sine and cosine after pulling this little stunt.
Vera returned to her suite. Again, she felt nothing as she walked towards her desk and began working. She had no idea a monster was watching her though that was unsurprising and nothing new for the Head Girl. Typing away at her computer, she was already adding the demerits for being late to class and lying to a Head Girl. The question was would she punish her when she arrives or simply give her a pass to the basement and let her dwell on it until the appointed time?
She prepared a quick meal to have before Steph arrives. Vera would eat and clean the dishes she used before returning to her desk and continue working on other demerits and paperwork. Always working, being a Head Girl involved alot of busy work. She took this time to calm herself and prepare for the student's arrival.

Re: Release (for Vera)
She arrived without her noticing him though Aegir was content to watch her work and eat for the most part. He had picked up on her initial confusion over the "misplaced" slip as he played back her encounter at the nurses office to see how that transpired, and of course how his illusion should act of course. It would do no good for it to behave in an inconsistant fashion.
It was part way during her work that there was a knock at the door, this of course occurring after she had eaten. The knock was just an audio illusion, and after being let in Steph flickered her gaze around casually. Right now Aegir projected a casualness through her, it would do no good if she was anxious, at least not yet.
Aegir watched on in silence though, modifying his approach when necessary. Right now he was letting Vera's own expectations guide her, drawing upon her thoughts and beliefs while he manipulated her by presenting his own facts getting her to think that she was making connections that he had intended on her making in the first place, it was more fun if she thought she came up with things on her own, at least for now.

Re: Release (for Vera)
Steph had arrived which saved the Head Girl the trouble of hunting her down. The student seemed calm, perhaps thinking she was out of harms way. Vera called the woman in as she remained behind her desk. The paper work and appointment had been made. All that was left was to inform this woman of her grave mistake. She waited patiently for the woman to take a seat before speaking.
"Miss Miller," she began calmly, "I went to check up on your roommate and found out from the nurse that no such incident or injury has occured. This is unacceptable. "Arriving late is one thing, a minor offense. But lying to me, I did not think you were so stupid." Vera was not fond of this at all and did not expect this young woman to do a stunt like this. She was not about to let this slide and will gladly use her to set an example. For now though, she wanted this woman out of her sight. Before she could send this woman on her way, she will hear her side. It was doubtful any excuse would save this student. "Do you have anything to say, Miss Miller?"
