She was able to gather the necessary explosives but had another idea in mind, one that proved to be more effective. She had to get to the security area ahead of Ven and to that end she had someone that had access to camera feeds. Which ways were clear and which were too damaged to get around had been something she could coordinate. KD followed closely and it was this specialized knowledge that would prove effective seeing that Ven was slower and had to double back when routes proved too difficult to transverse.

By getting to security she could have KD get the data from the cameras while reprogramming the droid. She probably could deal with one of them, activating it was probably enough provided that she was exempt from being targeted it would probably go after the intruders once they attempted to access security and would probably ignore the security chief who was at the other end of the ship in the first place. And provided she kept them apart he could not hope to use it against her.

“The cameras are out in the lower deck, from here on you'll be blind.” She was informed coming to a lift, the door would not open and she could hear water descending down the shaft indicating that there was already a hull breach above the elevator shaft with water rushing in … the breach did not sound like a huge rush so the hole in the hull was probably small. Water had not filled up the lower level since excess had not begun to seep out of the gaps in the elevator doors.

As for the room it was virtually useless in a way, just a few computers one filled with static, the other showed life signs presumably her’s. FROM HERE MOST OF THE LOWER DECKS CAN BE MONITORED AS WELL AS A FEW KEY AREAS. THROUGH THE LARGER DOORS IS ALSO A BRIG. FROM HERE IT IS POSSIBLE TO CONTROL MANY FUNCTIONS OF THE SHIP.

The first step was to render the robots useless both militarily and tech wise, but maintain the fact that they look viable and useful, and bug them with tracers that the ADD could trace and find Ven. However they would use one as a way to assist in keeping her safe through the lower levels, and destroy the nest by destroying the engine. While they tracked down and removed the security chief.
