lily cant help but giggle at that. she goes about tending the other plants.

He spoke with Slarr for a few minutes and she heard a “NO” from the Devil and “ONE” whatever that had meant though after munching a few of the larger strawberries the Devil departed after Birch had nodded.

Birch returned to her side soon after. “Do not bother with the strawberries and he will not bother with you.”

lily nods not standing up from tending the plants her rump swaying gently.

Slarr departs, going invisible allowing Birch to tend to the gardens for a fair bit. “When are your next classes?”

¨not for another three hours.¨she finishes the plant tending and smiles.

He thinks, he was taught time by the scientists and nods at that. “Have you always been so skilled with nature or is it an acquired ability? I hear things, that some of the girls here have supernatural gifts though until seeing yours they were only hear say by Slarr. I figured he was lying again, he does that a lot, but you just have to know how to deal with him.”

¨its a little of both. ive always loved nature and it only grew when i became a shrine maiden to the goddess of life and water.¨

¨i dont control growth of them i control the flow of water in them. since the water carries the nutrition in the plant growth is just a lucky benifit.¨

“I see. I cannot control that, not really but can instill even movement where none would otherwise exist.” He grins or rather his features curl into that as close as one as possible.

“What of plants that do not bare fruit? Do those simply get larger?”

¨it seems so. never really tried to expariment on it.¨she stops to ponder it a bit.

Birch calculates that figuring that a plant could not get too much larger. Fruits could as well as most vegetables that can swell with the excess water. “Yes, it is something one wouldn't experiment with often if at all. I was merely curious as to how they worked.”

lily shrugs and streatchs inavertably lifting her top.

Of course he seems but seems to be uninterested in her, no, not uninterested but full. With Ginger he had indulged in the pleasures of the flesh for the first time though he did not force that particular issue on her, it just happened like that.

Birch was the epitome of self control eating when he need to in order to survive and thus had been use to going upwards of a week without eating at all. They still had plenty of time here and he worked his garden keeping her clear of the strawberries to avoid any issues with Slarr. He never knew when he was around of not given his abilities of flight and invisibility.
