It had been a very quiet day, so I decided to go out for a little while. I went to the roof of the classroom and relaxed up there. I snagged a book and decided to coil up, holding the book with 3 hands while relaxing in my coils.

Thump, thump, thump, thump! Footsteps pounded against the steps, lungs gasped for breath. Swaying, the figure made up the last dash to the door at the top of the steps... the one that opened onto the rooftop.

Slamming the door open, the lithe form dashed out onto the rooftop, glancing around hurriedly. It was only then that the large sack was visible; it swung around from its place over his shoulder as he turned for the door, shoving it closed with the broom in his hand. Jamming it under the handle, he scrambled back a few steps way from the door... and with a sigh dropped the almost comically large load.

"Oof. Geez." He groaned, running a hand through his pale blonde (almost white) hair. From down below, there were a few screams and scandalized shouts, but the subsequent sounds of footsteps and scrambling never seemed to approach the door.

"...whew..." Icosagon breathed out a sigh of relief, then reached down to heft up the bag a little. Good. Turning, he started to walk across the rooftop... then froze at the sight of the coiled, many-armed woman in front of him.

"...eh?!" Stepping back in surprise, he tumbled back over his own large bundle, toppling backwards to the ground and sending a number of books scattering out of his bag. Legs still dangling over the large sack, he rubbed his head and grumbled, leaning to the side to peek around the back at what had startled him. "Ow. Crap."

Zinc glanced over, then went back to reading, as it wasn't much of her problem unless it became one.

HIs legs wriggled atop the bag, Ico still looking around at her with some interest. Hearing the sounds of shouting finally dying away, he slowly pushed his feet back up over the lump. Standing, he brushes himself off... then squints over at her again.

Strange.

Slowly, he approached, ducking his head down and taking a peek at the cover of what she was reading... "What's... this?" He started to walk around her, moving to take a look at the book over her shoulder now.

One arm grabs him by the back of the neck and pulls him off of Zinc. "Didn't anyone tell you it was rude to read over people's shoulders?" She said, sounding none-too-thrilled with what he was doing.

He yelps, pulled up and moved off handily. "Oh, probably..." It was spoken dismissively, like whatever anyone said about it did not really matter.

Instead, he squirms a bit in her grip, and then tilts his head to read the cover. "I am just a little curious, y'know. I do not catch girls often doing things up here." His eyebrows raise a bit as he looks at her face... of course, she was not just any girl, and that was blatantly obvious.

"Why don't we start with... what're you reading?" Blue eyes blinked at hers, suspiciously innocent in their gaze.

"It's a book about the Vietnam war." I said, showing the title of the book: "Bury me upside down"

His expression changed... and his eyes glinted a little as he grinned. "Interesting... very interesting. Why did you choose that one? Interested in war... or just human history?"

His stress of the word could not be missed, and he slowly leaned back on his heels as he looked at her face and expression. "You have... strange tastes, you know..."
