Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
His node had glimpsed her around from time to time though never really had a chance of prying into her mind since he had been busy fulfilling other endeavors though today he had cleared his schedule, even letting a few students go by unmolested as he had concentrated his efforts on what he believed to be a new student that had taken up residence her at the island.
The sun had been hanging low in the sky before he had gotten some kind of hit. She had not been in the dorms and he had not seen her among the students milling through the halls on the way to class. He did uncover her in the library leaning over some book.
Usually he had been able to use his nodes quite well, using the miniature things as conduits in which he could use his powers. He usually spent such time getting to know his victims, sinking into there minds to learn about them and see what talents to watch out for if any.
But today he had been eager to sate his lusts that he had not done such simply using his abilities to mentally dominate a being as he implanted a suggestion within her to travel to the forest, take a relaxing hike down a familiar trail that the students had used and place studying aside for the day. She needed the fresh air any way and she could always get back to her book later, it would keep.
He had no idea that Lexi had been anything but a student. His body draped into a tree as his coloration had been a deep green to better match the surrounding tree leaves to better blend in to the terrain. White eyes looking out at the path below the branches that he had been in. Still quite, he had to wonder if his suggestion had taken route in her though it was still too early to tell.

Re: Mistaken Identy (for Lexi)
What an odd thought she just had. Fresh air? A relaxing hike? Yet there was something more to it than just that. Lexi looked up from the book she was currently reading inside of the School Library and narrowed her eyes briefly as the Grimoire's pages bristled ever hidden inside of her bag. She could feel the compelling force behind that thought as it urged and nearly demanded that she go as if it had been truly her own thought in the matter. She knew better and years at the hands of those whom had sought mastery over her and the powers she commanded had if anything left her with a formidable mental defense. Someone or something had taken interest in her...or was it just her physical form that had attracted whatever it was that now called out for her to head into the forest. She hadn't given it much thought before this moment but wouldn't her disguise potentially gain her the attention of those monsters and other creatures that had found their way to this place. Not that she could do anything about the way she looked. Try as she might every time she had attempted to re-craft her doll she ended up looking the exact same as she did now. As a younger version of Morgana, the witch that had not only written her but whose spilled essence had given her awareness. While she may have shared her appearance and memories, Lexi knew she was not the witch reborn. She was something else and something much more than that. Whatever it was that had been trying to lure her had certainly earned her curiosity and would save her time and effort as she had meant to track down others to try and put the missing pieces into the puzzle of her arrival here. Pushing back out from the table and rising to her feet, Lexi scooped up belongings and headed for the door. She had planned on exploring the Island more in depth later today anyway and was already dressed in preparation for such. Hair pulled back into a single, yet raised pony tail keeping her face free of any errant golden strands that might have dared to move out of place otherwise during her travels. Her dark grey baggy hooded jacket remained open and revealing at least part of the plain cream colored sleeveless t-shirt that molded tightly against her and sat tucked into the cut off khaki shorts, hemmed neatly if not perhaps cut a bit to short as they proudly showed off her slender nearly flawless legs. The final touch on her explorers outfit was the brown stylized hiking boots. Honestly, her outfit was selected far more for how it appeared than any actual useful practicalities that one might actually need. With her pack securely slung over her shoulder, Lexi departed her studies earlier than she had intended as she quickly made her way out of the building and away from the school grounds. It wouldn't do to keep whomever had given her such an unique invitation waiting and see exactly what they had wanted of her. She had a pretty good idea what it would be if they had believed her to be just a regular student and with that thought part of her was slightly hesitant to just wander head long into that trap. With a cute, overly dramatic sigh Lexi thought at the very least no matter what really happened she was bound to learn something new.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
Options had spooled through his mind as he figured out his course of action. A simple snatch and grab? Something more elaborate than that? As he schemed and planned things out in his mind he had settled on a simple snatch and grab this time around though he had come up with a few back up plans to assure his success given that things didn't work out so well for him. At his command he could draw upon powerful illusions that have only gotten better over his tenure on the island as he had practiced with them. He figured that he could draw upon them if things went wrong while his mental dominance could be used as a last resort should he need it.
Never had it crossed his mind that he was hunting another monster, though he did know that there were a few beings that took on the guises of humans from time to time in order to get close to their targets.
Alerted to Lexi's surface thoughts from the node hidden in the library up on a shelf between a few books Aegir had felt the hesitation within her. Only once had his telepathic abilities failed him and he had wondered if this had been the case now, had he failed?
But before he could fully comprehend matters his node reassured him as it reported back to him, telling him that Lexi did indeed plan on a hiking trip as it had been upon her mind. In fact she had been in the process of leaving as they "spoke".
A little anxious, Aegir could smell the invisible pheromones waifing out of his rubbery body, their musky scent hanging in the air, totally ineffectual to humans though he knew full well that he had to get a grip upon himself before her arrival least he give himself away through that redundant ability.
A pair of tentacles gripped firmly to the branch he had been perched upon as he had tried to claim himself down some, his cocks beneath the mass of tentacles that comprised of his legs grew hard at the thought of what he had supposed would come.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
With a bounce in her step, Lexi continued her way down one of the many well worn trials as she moved ever farther away from the Campus and finally entered into the lush forest. The afternoon light filtered through the tree's scattering shadows about the grounds and giving the woods a friendly and warm appearance. A cold breeze rustled through the tree's as she pressed on ever deeper into the forest, almost as if nature itself was trying to provide a warning to those whom would dare venture alone of the unseen dangers that lurked beyond the outskirts of the wood. The further in she went the thicker the tree's became on either side of the path, leaving her underneath a veil of shade with few wisps of sun light still bristling over head as the branches swayed and moved. She knew it wouldn't be very long before whatever creature which had attempted to dominate her mind would act, either revealing itself or it might use another of its abilities to try and subdue her. She figured she was being lured this far out so that any chance of her escape would be made even more difficult or maybe the creature just wanted to speak to her in an area where there would be little interruption. Then she sensed it. Able to detect even the faintest traces of emotion she could feel a strong dark lust pulsing and mixing with an anxious if not eager energy not far from her and above within a thick gathering of tree's to her side. She had little doubt this was what had attempted dominate her mind and implant the suggestion that she come out here. It may not have been. Another of the islands more interested inhabitants could have spotted her and moved to ambush her. Time would tell, as would the beings response. Coming to a stop, Lexi stood up onto her tip toes as she gave a full stretch, raising her arms over her head and arching her back. The jacket fell open a bit more, revealing her firm, full breasts covered by the cream colored shirt and straining against the tight fabric briefly before finishing her quick stretch. She didn't know if there was any rule that governed the other creatures from preying upon one another and she certainly doubted many of them would have cared to make any sort of distinction based on the way her doll looked. Best to be prepared for a fight though she was certainly hoping to avoid any such unpleasantness, not that she needed much preparation. Calling out to unseen, "I know you are out there. I know you lured me here." There was no measure of fear or uncertainty in her voice as she knew something was watching her even if she only had a rough idea as from where. In spite of whatever dangers might have been involved in calling the likely dangerous monster out, she couldn't help but be a bit giddy with her own nervous anticipation and excitement. She hadn't yet had the chance to meet or even see the other beings that seemed to prey upon the students of the school and know she had been given her opportunity. If it attacked her after discovering her true nature that would be as good of an answer as any about how she should proceed in her dealings. "I came here to speak with you...though I have little doubt you have other idea's." She hadn't yet revealed herself to be anything more than a perhaps just an intuitive if not strong willed student. Lexi folded her arms as she waited, unintentionally framing her ample mounds and pulling the jacket and shirt tighter against her body.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
Why had she stopped? Coming up short beneath him he scanned over her frame, seeing her stretch out and with it his focus had been upon her chest as he regarded her breasts. But soon she had called out to him, as if she had sensed him. Perhaps she had been a psionicist and could pick up his tampering. Maybe being such had made her immune or resistant to such.
He had noticed her gaze had drifted up to the branches that he had been sprawled out on. She didn't know exactly where he was though it had been fairly obvious that she had been aware of the general vicinity that he had dwelled in.
Eyes cast down at her as he had looked her over, his mind scanning into her own as she had called out. Was she intent on speaking and if so why. Her surface thoughts had revealed to him that she had been interested in speaking and as he dug through her reasons why this had been the case though oddly he had found that her mind had been different, for starters the lay out seemed vastly different than a humans that had only seemed to reinforce the idea that she had been some sort of psion.
But should he reveal himself? He didn't find her memories where he had thought them to be. Rather he had stumbled upon some facts as to her being, or rather some of what she had possessed.
Elemental magic, not a big deal given the inhibitors in place on the island. Of course he had been leery in anything and of course anyone that could draw upon electrical magic since it was a bane of his. Even with the inhibitors in place such attacks had been vicious. Fortunately he had not experienced such attacks often.
Making a decision he had dropped down from the trees with a plopping sound as his boneless form spilled onto the hard ground beneath his perch, his accelerated healing going to work to dull the minor buzzing sensation that he had now felt.
His green coloration had darkened becoming it's usual mauve, mouth tendrils swaying as if caught up in the wind, his eyes gazing at her as the musky scent of his pheromones still emitted from his body as he slithered forward stopping about 10' or so short of where she had been relying on his bodies elasticity to reach her if so necessary.
Speak.
His words guff since he had thought that she had been nothing more than a student at this point. A psion with some magical training perhaps, whatever the case his curiosity had gotten the better of him as he had intended to find out what she had to say.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
Whatever it was that had attempted to lure her out here she could feel touching her thoughts, searching her as she could feel from the area where the creature had likely hidden away began to grow curious. The emotions were hard to read, murky as the only thing that was completely clear to her was its lust. Lexi could have expanded her senses, trying to delve deeper into the emotion center of the creature lurking in the tree around her but given the level of control that seemed to hum about the very edges of its emotion such an action might be taken the wrong way and viewed as some sort of attack. She had encountered telepathic beings before, she even had more than a few that she was capable of calling upon in her summons but this creature's will and presence of mind was far stronger than theirs. Movement rustling in the tree's gave sign that whatever course the unknown being was about to unfold. A dark shape in the shadows of the woods dropped down away from her and began to slither forward, moving closer to her and revealing himself. Something in the air matched those dark wants lurking inside of monster as it came to a stop, leaving a measure of distance between the two. Closer now she could also feel a few others wisps of his emotions, caution and curiosity swirling just beneath his primal desires. Turning slowly in place to face the creature directly, not wanting any sudden moves to prompt the dangerous telepathic monster into any sort of action she heard his "voice" inside of her dolls mind. Short and to the point it seemed as if he didn't like or care what she had to say he would return to what was likely his original purpose for trying dominate her mind and bring her here. "Good afternoon." She began with no fear in her voice or even the slightest bit of surprise at the creatures appearance. She remained respectful, knowing that after all she had wished to speak with him to gain understanding and knowledge of the Island and did not wish for him to simply just leave after learning part of her true nature. "Forgive my deception, but I am not actually a student at this school, no matter how much I may appear to be so. This form is little more than a doll or arcane construct to assist my efforts, though as things are I am called Lexi Myridon." She still wasn't sure if he was going to believe her, after all a clever student who knew about the darker things that happened on the Island might be foolish enough to come up with such a lie and try to gain power or knowledge to better help protect themselves. "There is a reason I had come out here, I have been seeking answers about a select number of things about the Island. I had hoped there would be something like an orientation like the students have but having not been invited to one yet I've had to make due on my own. I would hope that you would be able to provide some of these answers and I very much understand nor would I expect you to just give me these answers without fair compensation for your time." Her golden amber eyes stayed on the creature before her as she explained at least part of her situation. She kept her arms folded underneath her full breasts, pushing them out and accentuating them as she finished speaking. Unwilling to reach out and fully gauge his emotions she was unable to tell if the creature how the creature would response to her. Would he test her to make sure she was telling the truth? Would he just attack? She didn't know and it made her a bit anxious, sharpening her senses as she was once more forced to wait to see.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
How cordial. She had been polite, and had even introduced herself. Aegir gauging if she had been a student that she had been quite clever in coming up with such a deception and that alone had marked her down in his book as one to grant credit to.
He had listened intently to her words, and while he could get a read on her surface thoughts skimming beneath the surface of those thoughts had been near impossible. If given enough time he had figured that he could unravel just how her mind had been laid out. After all he had felt naked with sinking into the mind of another given that he had been so use to doing so to give him a bit of an edge, or to alter perceptions and he figured that he could not do that ... yet.
While he had picked up no deception within her words he had been unsure of her words given how strangely her mind had been laid out. Either she had been telling the truth or her mind had been laid out in an intricate style in a defensive fashion.
When she had mentioned compensation his eyes had been drawn to her chest as her arms folded beneath her breasts as they had been accenuated to him.
His lusts washed over him again, tentacles twitching beneath him on the solid ground he had addressed her after a minute or so proving that he had been a cautious being.
Prove it, prove that what you say is true and I will be open to parlaying with you. Fail and we will get to that ...
Studying her as he addressed her he added, Use your elemental fire magic against me
The matter had been a simple one. He figured that if she were a student that her magic would fizzle or be barely effective. Of course he had been resistant to magical flames. And if she was a monsterous being he would feel the searing heat behind her attack. But not to worry, he would heal rapidly, probably fully with minutes. Of course he wished that he could say the same thing about electricity.
It had been a big risk opening up for an attack as he was, incase her intentions had been nefariouus and if she had brought forth other types of magic against him.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
Even not being a student Lexi couldn't help but be a little bit nervous as she could feel his presence inside of her mind ever searching as if trying to find cracks in her defenses. It wasn't just his mind but she could feel those intense eyes looking her over as well and the desire that flared up inside of him gave her little doubt what would happen next should she not be able to prove who and what she truly was. She was not terribly surprised as the creature demanded proof of her words though the method in which it asked for her to prove herself was a bit unsettling. He had learned some of her abilities and would likely learn a bit more though her dolls mind was likely different than what he may have been used to and she had taken steps to ensure her past was well protected. These steps were always in place, she had not created them just for this encounter. Lexi treasured her knowledge and secrets and like her true self, the book few would she willing allow to pursue through her freely. As odd as it may have been she knew she wouldn't be able to use any magic to help bolster her already formidable mental defenses. He would learn more than she had shared with many others but nothing she hadn't shared before. Aside from that many of the telepathic creatures she had encountered weren't comfortable unless some sort of mental link had been made and even then she wasn't entirely sure he would be able to speak with her if she took steps to try and push him free of her mind. She could tell he was skilled, his searching was not clumsy nor painful there was almost a gentle caress to it that had she not been who she was it might have been impossible to have known he was inside of her mind. Curiosity remained but that caution and nervous energy seemed to strengthen as the monster had spoken of how she was to prove it as well. Narrowing her eyes briefly in thought, Lexi nods her head in agreement before answering once more. "I have no trouble proving to you that I am as I say, however as a Master of the Elemental Paths I would dare not directly strike you with such a blast and have no desire to cause you any harm unless it is made necessary. If my display is not proof enough, I would be willing to provide more such." Lexi's voice may have been soft and feminine but there was a measure of complete confidence in herself. She was not one to brag or embellish upon that which she was capable of either. As she was, her doll wasn't required to use any arcane gestures or even so much as speak any words of power to bring about most magics which she wielded but no need to reveal that little fact. Raising her hand, palm turned skyward as her golden eyes seem to burn and move with an arcane fire all there own. From the ground in front of Aegir a pillar of white flame erupts, spiraling upwards and incinerating the branches and leaves of tree's hanging overhead instantly. Waves of burning heat pour and roll off the column absorbing the oxygen in the air as even the ground around the pillar begins to turn ash. Feeling she had demonstrated the truth to her words adequately she turned her hand over palm facing onto the ground as the pillar collapsed back into the ground into a small vortex of flame before extinguishing and leaving only that burning and smoldering ash in its wake. She didn't bother asking if the creature required anything further as she figured at this point either he would tell her so or just make his move to attack. She hadn't expected speaking with another of the Islands inhabitants to be such a difficult thing. She couldn't blame the monster as she did look and blend in nearly perfectly with the student body.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
Eyes seemed to be absorbed on the pillar of flame that had erupted into being in front of him. He could feel its heat basking against his slimy skin and could smell the ozone-like scent that had waifed into the air as the grass burned. He could even see a black stream of smoke radiating from the fire as she had caused it to simmer down, then snuff out.
Immune to illusions he knew that the demonstration had been legitimate. He nodded, mouth tendrils swaying this way and that as he remained in a bit of a stupor for a lengthy moment as if he had been using that time to think over matters.
It hadn't been often that he stumbled upon another entity of the island. In fact this had only been his second encounter with a monsterous entity and of course the first one that he had mistaken as being human.
His tone had lightened up as he let loose a small chuckle into her mind. Impressive. I had to be thorough, you understand.
He could sense her apprehension and he quickly reasoned why given the purpose of summoning her here. His hands wrapped about his opposite forearms as he placed them nonthreateningly behind his back though his tentacles did thump upon the ground ever now and then.
Relax. I do not prey on others like me. What is it that you wish to speak of and what is this about compensating my time? Clearly wealth doesn't do me much good and there is little that an ageless being such as myself needs or wants for that matter.
While he seemed to shift his mood and attitude a little his lusts still remained beneath his calm exterior as he settled in for talks rather than partaking of the pleasures of the flesh as he had believed that he would be partaking in.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
The blond witch nodded as she heard and felt the tone of the creature before her change though those lusts she had sensed from the very beginning had not faded in the slightest. He had accepted her demonstration and was at least willing to speak with her. Lexi wasn't sure how much information this monster would have about the operation of the Island itself and it was more than possible that he just didn't care. Immortal beings tended to be...peticular...to say the least in her summoning experiences. Still she didn't wish to squander the opportunity she had here and even if he would not be able to answer all of her questions, she would still hopefully know more about this place than what she had currently. "I understand, should I have been in your position I would have wished to see the proof as well." Lexi began, remaining in place where she was for the moment. She did not doubt his words that would he not attack her, but this seemed as good a place as any to begin working out the details of their discussion. "Without going to greatly into the details suffice to say I have found myself here on this Island and since I am staying here I wish to learn more about it and how certain things work as they do. I have made my own assumptions about somethings and learned others, but I figured seeking out another of the interesting inhabitants of this place would aid in filling in a more of those blank pages." Lexi's soft pink lips pursed together for a moment in thought, wondering if she needed flesh out her reasons any further without giving away what things she had known and what had still remained a mystery. Her fiery amber eyes shifted back towards Aegir as she gave a sweet playful smile. "As to compensating your time what is it that you would feel is fair? I know very little about you...save what I can sense and see and so you have me at a disadvantage. Perhaps...if you tell me something you need or want we can start there and work our way towards an agreement." Lexi had a pretty good feeling and idea about at least one of this monsters wants though she was sure there would be more than that beneath the surface. Even if things didn't work out and they couldn't reach an accord she didn't see why they couldn't part on at least amicable terms. It wouldn't hurt building a rapport with a powerful telepath and maybe even getting to learn a bit more about him. Of course he still hadn't introduced himself but then again she had not asked and would not press the matter either. Lexi had been the name she had given to her doll and the last name had been that of her one true owner. All things aside she was rather relieved to not have to be fighting off this monster or forced to retreat to find another one to speak with at a later date.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
Aegir looked at her with his blank eyes, his eyes dipping down her as she spoke as if he didn't quite believe that she had been a being much like himself. He listened to all that she had to say, thinking things over for about a minute before he had assembled his words to speak.
The soil on which he stood seemed firm and unyielding though it had contrasted him. He could adapt to whatever situation he had been in he thought though he had never been in such a situation before. He did often dispense with his knowledge here and there but he hadn't known many that seemed to be as inqusitive as Lexi.
Her test out of the way Aegir felt that he should introduce himself and see were this conversation ended up.
I am known here as Aegir. As you know this is not Earth though the students here are under the deception that it is. They are drugged during what they believe to be a flight which is actually an interplanar trip here. Drugged so that contraband and the like can be taken from them.
But by peering into the minds and memories of both the students and the scientists that work here I have been able to piece together much of the history and knowledge surrounding this place.
What I seek is knowledge that I don't possess, knowledge that is hard pressed to me after all these years. And immortality. In song, poem, story, whatever the case may be. And of course you already know my other motivations.
He had explained his wants and desires though he could not read beyond her surface thoughts. Her mind being unfamiliar to him he knew better than to tamper with anything that he had not fully understood. Curious as what she would possible offer him in exchange he had thought that he would bestow this knowledge freely though it didn't hurt to gather some sort of compensation on matters.
Having such a long life how long would this encounter seem to him? A second or two if that. Time had been less important to him and he had learned to be quit patient over the long years. Patience minimized any mistakes that he would make, or most given that he had made one about Lexi's orgins.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
Ever the model of polite conversation, Lexi waited for the beings thoughts to fade from her mind. At least one more thing had been confirmed for her, she was no longer on Earth as she had come to suspect. That was a trivial piece of information truth be told as she could have easily used any number of resources to have gained that answer but what she didn't consider unimportant was that the staff was certainly involved and would allow her another outlet from which to gain information from. They would be another piece to the puzzle, if not a crucial one at that. As pleased as she was to find another whom treasured knowledge as she did, she couldn't help but wonder what actual information she held that he would have found interest in that she would actually be willing to share. "It is good to make your acquaintance Aegir." Lexi lowered her head and gave a slight bow in respect towards the creature, never once taking her eyes from him before standing up straight once more. She could still feel his lingering doubts about her as they mixed with that curiosity and ever present lust. "In exchange for telling me about this place and answering my questions, I would be willing to share a bit of my own history if that would be of interest to you." As Lexi naturally was, she didn't like sharing but there were just to many advantages to let this pass her by. That wasn't to mention once Aegir had learned a bit more of her that she would be able to put those doubts he held about her to ease. She was so close to gaining some of those answers she had been obsessing over and trying to figure out on her own that she was forced to restrain herself from just bombarding Aegir with her questions. Patience she had to remind herself, the deal had not yet been brokered between the two of them. The wheels of thought turned in her eyes, spinning rapidly as she focused on the task at hand and push aside the growing curiosities of the one she was now speaking with. Lexi was interested in this place the immortal being at least seemed interested in her so she didn't believe there would be a problem with the deal. She was by no means going to reveal her entire history to him, that wouldn't have been a fair trade of information in her eyes. She had considered offering him other things but how many of them would he have already known. Much of what she had come to know of the modern world had been taken from her experience at the school and the books she had been reading. She wasn't sure how much of that interest was contained purely within those dark lusts that hung over him like a deep fog though she would of had to admit wondering exactly what his emotions truly tasted like.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
As much as he may not say it aloud he actually enjoyed the feelings of reverence that had accompanied it. Her actions had reminded him of that time so long ago, a feeling that bubbled up inside him, his eyes following her as she made her proposal.
He could sense the excitement buzzing through her mind, figuring that she could hardly contained herself in the face of the knowledge that she had the opportunity to acquire. He had figured that he could wrench the proposed information from her mind had he wanted it badly enough and could of course map out the strange mind that he had confronted.
But it had been only information to him. No big deal for him and nothing that he could readily foresee as bringing him any harm. Again, he paused, thinking for a few seconds as he went through the ins and outs of matters. He calculated how such information may be used against him and saw nothing therein. He even considered how much effort ripping things from her mind.
Generally lazy for the most part Aegir conserved his talents and energy when possible. Braking the small silence that had formed between them he had answered at last. A few seconds to him must have felt like an eternity for her.
Very well, I find your terms agreeable. For every question I am addressed you can reveal some of your origins. If this is acceptable than you may posse your first question and if I know or can direct you to an answer I shall do so. It is likely that I'm aware of things considering the great number of minds I have experienced since coming here.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
Aegir's moment of contemplation and silence was met only by an eager patience. Lexi was a scholar of sorts and knew how and when to restrain herself. Lexi's eyes narrowed slightly in thought at the arrangement purposed and what effect it could possibly have. Nothing she was going to reveal couldn't have been figured out by seeing her true form or by allowing her mental defenses to drop and giving the telepathic creature greater access. By no means would she do the latter. Just because the two of them were sharing information didn't mean she could trust him, especially not with the different feelings that she could feel from within him. She hadn't missed his words that he did not prey on others like himself but that could have meant there were others that did, and that there were no rules governing such activities. Lexi further figured with the right motivation he would probably wish to sate those lusts regardless of what she was which meant she had to stay focused in case he decided to act upon lusts and the other darker emotions hidden beneath. Not that she didn't feel that she wouldn't be able to defend herself but all in all it would have just been rather inconvenient to her plans. "That sounds reasonable enough to me." Lexi gave a small nod as she replied. "Before I begin, was there somewhere else you'd rather hold this conversation, somewhere more comfortable?" She knew she could have summoned chairs or pillows, or a great many comforts to relax on but more often than not Lexi was quite lazy as well, choosing to converse her energy for when it was needed. She could have called upon one of her servants to bring them something instead but again, she was not going to reveal anything about herself that she did not have to. Figuring they would be able to walk and discuss the details of the Island should he wished to move elsewhere Lexi asked her first question. "I take it that the Island and its owners don't have any rules or regulations about our kinds conduct here then or if they do what can you tell me about them?" The question wasn't really the first one she had planned on asking but it was an important one to be sure. A bit broad in scope but the question itself could easily covered whether creatures that prowled here were even allowed to go after one another as well as how they were supposed to go about their business of dealing with the student body. Lexi was pleased with it however as it would potentially grant her a wide spectrum of answers making it worth revealing a bit of her origins to the mauve colored monster. She knew she would have to ask these questions again to others so she could confirm them independently, but at least she was starting to make progress.

Re: Mistaken Identity (for Lexi)
The ocean ... he had answered without much thought. His eyes flowed instinctively upwards as if to gauge how brilliant the sun had been on this day though he could not see it with his keen eyes between the canopy that the branches had made to block out a good deal of the light.
That had been one of the reasons that he dwelled in the forest often though from time to time he did go to the school itself.
His pace had been slow as he slithered across the ground in the direction of the beach. He found that the waves lapping against the beach had instilled calmness within him. Perhaps it had been because he had been a creature of the ocean, he couldn't say why for certain that this had been the case but it had been.
He had only taken a moment to think before he had answered her question, his lusts dimming though not subsiding entirely. He did feel caution radiating from her but could not decipher any sort of other emotion than an eagerness and inquisitiveness.
Thinking about the situation he had pondered the odds of hitting upon another predator on this island. To top it off it had been one that he had found physically pleasing to his eyes, otherwise he would not have even bothered with her unless of course she had strongly exhibited qualities that he had been interested in.
There are no restrictions governing our behavior save for the fact that we cannot spawn with a student, kill them or mutilate them in irreversible ways. Some of the faculty her are of our kind though and there are those her, scientists, that slave away in hidden labs working on this and that. Sometimes they even seek out a "monster" to assist them in there experiments to see how a particular drug effects humans or whatever machines or machinations that they think up to use.
If it can be quantified they're probably testing something about it. I have dabbled a little in some of these labs myself though it is not often that I go to them or happen to be sought out by the scientists there.
They also hand out visas to most beings that come here. Treaties that the staff has made with particular worlds, dimensions or species to prevent any attack on Earth itself by offering up this bounty to choose from and do what we will. A sacrifice or tribute if you will. A safeguard to prevent war and I do hear, though this is rumor of course, that violators of this treaty are dealt with by their own societies, governments or species as an example to others.
