Even with different time zones and such, I figure most should be either well underway with celebrations, or just being finished with them.

So how did everybody celebrate for the holidays? Me, yesterday evening we had a family dinner at my mother's house, where every family member had to prepare a course of the meal. I must confess that I messed up my course since I'm not terribly good at cooking, but thankfully we're a relatively big family so everyone was still stuffed at the end of the evening. This morning, we gave and received presents at my father's house. I got Haruki Murakami's 1q84, a book I've been meaning to read for a long time, and two graphic novels based on respectively Herman Melville's Moby Dick and Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species. I also got a new wallet - since my old one got stolen a few months back - and two lottery tickets. One of them won nothing, but the other won me 10 euros. Not much, but it's something I suppose

Happy Festivus! Festivus continues because no one has pinned my dad yet.

So I just got a watch, some new shirts, a couple of Warhammer 40k miniture/models, and a copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 over Steam.

I hope you all enjoyed yourselves during the holidays. I sure did enjoy mine. I didn't exactly clean up this Christmas, but I got to have fun with the family, which is always the best and most important part of the holidays, IMO.
