Post Trapped (for Balard)
That was the trouble with being a Priest, no, strike that. Not a Priest or Priestess some of them dealt with negotiations, the Vodran were xenophobic save for the clergy that was who often went to the stars.

Her task was a simple one. Her destiny determined since birth. Princess Myra V'al was fated to become the next Priestess. Her task was to recover Vodrani artifacts galaxy wide and with her octopi like pet Reika she's traveled all over the galaxy.

She had little contact with her home, only when she returned with artifacts and she hung around for a few days so she had not heard that the Vorani were at war with the Graiglords, a primitive species on one of the colony worlds and while she would not fret about that as it was clear that her people would win unless the Graiglords got a lot of help but unknown to Myra or anyone else the Undine, enemies of the Vodrani had been giving them that help.

She was never told of the dangers and now she was at the colony world of Mistah. Had she gone to the city the under water city first the other Vodran would have appraised her of the situation but as it was she was surface side at the ruins. There was the conch that she was after but for the past fifteen minutes she was avoiding Graiglord warriors. A hybrid man-crab creature with two claw, one large, one small and a pair of human-like. They were black rather than red and were small, about 4 to 5 feet in height on the average.

Myra took a deep breath, her back pressed to the stone wall as she gripped her Tri-Blast in her hands, a weapon that looked like a three prolonged trident though each of the prongs could be activated together or separately to fire blasts of energy that even functioned under water.

Balard sat in the pub or whatever you wanted to call it waiting to be hired though these day's no one was hiring and so he got up and decided to actually explore this city and see what he could find or do. the world was called Mistah and all over the place their were guards and soldiers walking down the streets patrolling it seemed like they were looking for someone and his suspicions were confirmed when one came up to him and asked "Identification paper's please" He pulled the paper's out and handed them to the guard and the guard nodded and asked another question "have you seen anyone suspicious around" Balard had shook his head wondering who they were after and he left them to get back to their patrols he had made his way through a bunch of different alleyways and he saw a woman with a trident and he turned his head and looked at her curiously wondering if it was her they were after.

He moved closer and leaned against the wall she was against and smiled as he said "why what a lovely day this is, guards are hunting someone suspicious and you happen to be carrying a powerful weapon" he nodded to the trident that she was holding "am i to guess you are the one that the guards are looking for?" he ask's casually as he turned to face her.

She spent a good deal of time running and hiding but the problem with the Graiglords was that this was their planet, as primitive as they had been. But the Undine had given them some tricks to employ too. Whether it was the ruins she had been at or the caves she was always found and flushed out of hiding.

If she could only get to the ocean she'd half half a chance. As it were she had to risk going through one of the cities. Suffice it to say they had anticipated her trying to get to the sea and closed the ports. On top of that they were closing in on her again.

If she got to the ocean she could find safety it the colony city there beneath the waves. The Graiglords did not have a spaceport save for the one that she set down upon some distance from here …

Startled, she hears a voice behind her and whirls about pointing the Tri-Blast at him as if it were some sort of weapon.

He was not a Graiglord, nor was he an Undine. She had been the galaxy over and saw many species … some form of “Demon” she was not sure. She was afraid, tired, and worse had about three hours to reach the ocean, two before she fell ill, three until she perished so she was in a bad way.

She was unsure about him, if he had been playing by mocking her position that she found herself in or had been curious though she nods slightly, that much was obvious as she stepped into a fighting stance. As far as she was aware he was part of the problem though, and while she wasn't the strongest of fighters she would fight if it were necessary.

“Step aside, I have no quarrel with you.”

He put his hands up in mock surrender as he replied "woah, woah there not going to harm you i am just a mercenary, besides you look worse off and by look's off it you need something and fast" he knew that she might attack him anyway but he was not going to do anything if it could possibly help her, he just stood there watching her as she pointed her trident at him and the way the light reflected of some of the points he knew it would be a bad situation for him if she did do anything to him.

one of the Graiglords had turned down the alley armed with his Laser rifle and he turned another corner and he was getting closer to their positions though he did not know if anyone would be down here as it was precautionary to check everything out in-case someone was hiding and was using the alleyways as a means to get around.

A mercenary? This was bad, her arm was already beginning to shake and she didn't think this was out of any nervousness. She held the gaze of the demon for a moment as if considering. Of course there were those that considered themselves demons and there were all types and species too.

“I need to get to the ocean first then either to the Vodran city or off this planet, whichever is easiest. I am a royal, name your price,” it was dangerous mentioning the last and she didn't know if he could help but it was worth a shot, after all there was nothing to loose here.

"the destination will be easy the ocean is quicker through the west path" he knew this planet quite well but their was another path they could take but he wanted it to be easier for her instead of quicker so he chose the west path to the ocean as they would use buildings and ruins as cover if need to, as they were talking a voice shouted out to them "DROP YOUR WEAPONS" the voice belonged to a Graiglord and he was advancing on the two of them with his rifle raised and pointed directly at Balard's back.

“The only restriction is that we need to get there within two ho -”

She was interrupted by the cab-like creature and in that moment she saw that he had a blaster rather than one of the primitive weapons …

She sighs. If this one hadn't had such lethal force at his disposal she might have risked it, or perhaps if she had been better combat trained and trusted in her abilities.

It was a tough shot, the mercenary between her and the Graiglord, too tough for her to reasonably pull off unless she had been willing to risk an innocent life.

Searching there were no pipe, water mains or towers that she could take advantage of. So it ended like this. She growled, the Tri-Blast being dropped as she sticks her hands up in the air.

“Don't shoot.” She supposed that they were going to let the mercenary go or he could flee without drawing too much attention if he did not wait around all that long since they were just after her as far as she realized at this stage anyway.
