The galaxy was a strange place indeed particularly this dimension. There were similarities and differences that he had noted in his tenure here. Frankly there were other realities that he preferred though it was this dimension that his father lived in and thus it was here that he was destined to stay until he worked out a way to kill him. He tended to avoid contact for the most part and since his old man was so often on Shokushu it was very improbable that they ran across each other save for those rare occasions where they crossed paths. But this was something that he did not dwell on. Rather he had focused on his own goals and he was in the market for a slave. It was rare that he got to use his telepathic gifting or rather he wasn't one to use it too much on account of the drug that he took. But here was the kicker, his only supplier was now in a coma and took so much of an agent that blocked his thoughts that he was unable to steal that information. Though there were others that he had discovered worked. It was embarrassing to admit but there were things that he just could not do on his own. He had an idea and though there were a few complications that arose when he tried such before, the whole tangling of memories and such he didn't think that that would be so much a problem this time around. His motive was the drug and his practical use of a slave had been temporary. Extract the necessary information and that was that. He had enough slaves and little desire to take care of another so discarding a tool that no longer served a purpose did not effect him to much. Either his idea would work or not, once he had the information there was no need for the slave though it was a waste to just kill them. Perhaps he would implant them with a suggestion, maroon them or do all sorts of other things dependent on his mood. For the time being he went about the markets inspecting the merchandise as to whatever seemed to catch his eye the most. |

Things had not been going well for Alonsa. She had come to this market hearing someone had some information on where she could find a particular alien she'd been seeking. But it turned to be an ambush, one she barely managed to escape from. Normally, she would've taken off right away, but her ship had been acting up lately and figured it was best to have it repaired before attempting to return to base. As she explored the market, she eventually comes upon where slaves were being sold. Along with other humans like herself, several other races were available to be sold. 'It won't be like this forever...' She thought to herself before starting to leave. |

He had traveled about the pens, most were ill suited to the tasks that he had in mind. More the sort to be meek then ones that would do what was required with their backs to the wall. On occasion there was an agent or someone with military experience that were more useful. Fafner did not know what challenges were ahead. He had only recently discovered that some of his abilities still worked though he could not delve into Blue's mind. He did not always sense the thoughts of others though if he focused he could pull them out. Seeing a woman he could see that from her movements alone that she had to have some military experience. He did not know that she was an agent though he discovered that as he delved into her memories, at least the more recent ones. An agent? Not just that but she was searching for something too, this could work out. He followed though not obvious at first. Seeing that he could sense thoughts if he concentrated she was easy to track. Normally his species did this automatically though the drug impaired him in this way. He waited until she was in an area less populated though being an agent she was never totally isolated on this planet. At last he announced himself, his telepathic voice pressing into her mind. I believe we can assist one another, if you are interested. |

Alonsa eventually ends up in a less frequented part of the market, almost abandoned. She stops in her tracks hearing the voice in her head and looks around soon taking notice of Fafner just a few yards behind her. Though she appeared somewhat casual, her mind and body were prepared to go into fight or flight mode should the being get aggressive with her. "Can you? Seeking out one individual in the vastness of space has proven to be quite difficult to say the least. That is unless, one has connections. But what is it you are seeking in exchange?" |

Straight to the point, he liked that though he did not have to be a Telepath to see the change in her body language as she prepared for the worse. A natural state for most aliens he had dealt with though he had to actually concentrate to use his Telepathic gifts unlike others of his kind. Perhaps he had been looking at this wrong from the start. The slaves he saw for sale today lacked the criteria for what he wished to use them for and he realized that he was going to need strength here, strength of mind more like it. Uncovering your wants is easy enough … but as you understand everything has a price. There is information I seek but I cannot obtain for myself. However, a trade can be made. The situation is a little complicated but I will not waste your time explaining the hows if you are not interested but I need a piece of information from a mind that you are inserted into. I, however, will not know the sorts of protections of this information but can pull you out at any time and otherwise monitor your vitals while you're in there. |
