(OOC: A general thread for everyone to use to announce their arrival and to get settled in to a 'normal' school prom night.)

As Seraph opened his eyes he breathed deeply. This was the first time he had ever had a real body and not just a projection of his soul, and the sensation of truly breathing, of his heart beating, and of his vision no longer being limited, was amazing. Although magically he felt pathetic, and physically he was no-where near his old levels, this was amazing. A few words of power and his 'costume' was complete, the armour that made it up (thanks to magical creation made of proper steel) shimmered into existence and the accompanying sword appeared sheathed at his side. His hair was no longer bound by a pony tail and fell freely behind him.

With his costume complete Seraph gestured and spoke a few choice words of power. The teleportation spell was normally one he could cast without effort, but with the inhibitors cutting into his power he saw no reason to risk exerting himself. He didn't know how long he would remain in this body and saw no reason to waste power when a gesture and words would make it use an unnoticeable amount of mana. As he arrived he walked forward, and soon he was mingling with the various students. An act which both maintained his disguise and allowed him to find a suitable 'dance' partner. Or two as the case may be.

It seemed he was the first of the 'special guests' to arrive, and as such he soon found himself drawing a large amount of attention from the students. Something that would allow him to pick and choose his partner, or partners if the mood took him. Excellent.

Ishtar walked in the room and took a look around. She was impressed by the outfits that everybody was wearing. It looked like everyone had gone all out with their outfits. Ishtar smiled seeing how each person had made their own interpretation of what fantasy is.

Ishtar was no exception. She wore a long blue dress with gold and purple highlights. Both of her legs had purple leggings that went halfway of her thigh. Her arms has black sleeves with gold highlights that looked liked feathers. To complete the outfit she had a large blue hat that had a single gold flower on it. She wasn't sure why she added the gold flower, but felt it completed the outfit. With her staff in one hand she made her way into the crowd of people.

As she did so a man in silver armor caught her attention, she began to make her way through the crowd towards him. His blonde hair looked absolutely beautiful and his face was very handsome. Perhaps this would be a fun evening after all.

It was the night of the prom. Sitting in his ship, Rahs was staring nowhere in particular, as if waiting for something to happen. But nothing did. He was wearing his usual gauntlets and boots and a large brown clothe draped around his body to help him remind himself of his costume for the prom. It looked like a promising night after all.

Leaving his ship, the mercenary walked through the forest, every step making the magical necklace Seraph made for him bounce on his chest. "Kialarin." The sapphire necklace around his neck with the small crossed swords covered his entire body with an illusion. It was then that he decided to also try to live the costume. As the figure of a tall, blue-haired man covered his dark green body, Rahs took off his helmet, and folding some locked parts in the mask he was able to make it look like an armor piece. His face was now concealed by the human male face that was going to be his own until the signal was given.

As he neared the gym, the mercenary placed magnetically the folded helmet on his left boot. There were many girls with many different dresses and costumes, and he could see how others in succubus costumes or sci-fi ones went to other rooms. Maybe later he would have to pay them a visit. He arrived at the room, and just like he could see the different girls in many costumes, he had a slight smile because he would be able to recognize some of them but they wouldn't be able to do so with him. His dark bandanna and red cape flowed behind him as he walked around, and his blue shirt made him stand out besides the fact that there was only another male in here. In his mind he tried to guess who it was, but it really didn't matter much, the lack of costumed males would have him attract the rest of the girls there. Somehow it felt like a fancy buffet all of a sudden.

Ryu tried to focus on the subject before she eventually managed to slip to the correct location most likely reserved for the fantasy themed costume wearers. It had been an odd thought to even go there, not mentioning to wear a costume due it would just look weird on her, but after all it seemed to be a costume ball and she didn't intend to miss her chance to wear a costume the redhead herself and some fellow students have developed for the Medieval Fantasia part. It was the first time she tried to use makeup as well, her skin seemed to be pale the tiniest bit while her eyes were more expressive due the small dark shades at her upper and lower eyelashes.

The material fitted her like a second skin even though she was kind of nervous about the appearance of herself by wearing such an unsealed costume in front of the other students. She shook her head while she walked through the crowds of young women, everyone of them expected the male students to arrive any second. Her eyes flickered around, recognized students, at least some of them before they began to scan the area as usual. It felt so uncomfortable, being captured in crowds made her almost mad even if nobody really looked at her, but it was a fact due she walked alone and didn't join any of them. Ryu caught herself increasing the pace her steps carried her forward to reach the edge of the turmoil and rest. It didn't take long, she reached the tables with different kinds of food and out of the corner of her eye she was able to spot some punch offered in a bowl.

The redhead turned around and her gaze tried to find some familiar faces, but it had been too crowded to find anyone at all. Obviously some of the newcomers already arrived, perfect timing for them as the girls most likely closed in on them to find a partner promptly and efficiently as well, the intention to make sure someone won against such a crowd and got the company before all the others did seemed to matter nonetheless. Ryu glanced down to her waist where the katana took place, she found it in something like an archive behind a closed door. The same students that had helped her with the costume had prepared it as well, it looked rather new and pretty sharp-edged, but for now it rested in a scabbard and bounced off slightly with every movement she made. Of course she promised to use it as an additional ornament only and to give it back afterwards, then it would serve as an exhibit somewhere else. Crossing her arms in front of her, she sighed and tried to attract as less attention as possible while she made some slow steps along the edge of the whole crowd.

Aurora glides into the fantasy area of the prom, looking around to see who else has arrived, and chosen to start the evening in this area.

In the white silk gown, Aurora looks ethereal - truly like a creature of snow and ice and living winter. Her pale skin shines in the lights around the room, glowing against the vibrant snow silk. The strapless top hugs her curves, while accentuating the generous curves of her breasts. Her midriff is left bare, the soft skin firm, tight and toned.

Her hair, normally snow white, appears almost silver against the pure white of her gown, left to hang and flow freely to its full near-floor length. The white and gold skirt trails along behind her as she moves around the floor, smiling and greeting the other students with whom she is familiar.

The thin golden circlet, and the toy stuffed owl on her shoulder complete her outfit.

She notices one of the girls trying to shuffle along the edge of the crowd, and decides to go introduce herself as she doesn't recognize the young redhead. "Hello there. I'm Aurora." she says with a smile at Ryu. Then she says in a conspiratorial whisper, "You look as if you'd rather be almost anywhere else right now. Really, we aren't so bad. Most of the girls here don't bite unless you ask." she says, trying to lighten the mood a little.

Arms resting at her sides again after the pretty conspicuous student introduced herself as Aurora, a thing that didn't seem to appear too often everywhere else, she just wasn't used to it. It didn't matter who paid attention to her, the strange feeling consisting of pleasantness and embarassment spread through her like an invisible force. Ryu blinked several times before she even noticed it wouldn't be graceful if she simply ignored her new acquaintance, her eyes finally focussing the student next to her. "Hey, I'm Ryu, nice to meet you."

Aurora had been right, she disliked the feeling to be there, right at the time she arrived until the point she spoke her first word. Still, something attracted her to give it a chance. Her head followed the earlier movement of her eyes and faced Aurora, it was like a ghostly apparition stood in her field of view rather than another woman, she had to admit the costume suited her quite well. "I guess you are right. The ones I know are very nice and... handsome, but I don't like crowds, seriously."

Red eyes gazed through the room, focussing every student for the tiniest bit of a second, a soft smile began to build up on her face just before the redhead crossed her arms in front of her chest again, it seemed to be another behaviour to keep up a symbolic physical defense even though she didn't mean to possibly disappoint the student. "Nevertheless, I like costumes. This may be the only reason I even decided to join the party." Her eyes returned to Aurora, running down her body to take a look at her costume again. "I like yours, it looks quite mysterious, like the ghost of a princess from the past got revived once again to enjoy this event as well as many other mythical creatures."

She couldn't have cut the time any closer even if she tried. Murphy's Law made sure of that. From having her outfit coming on THE day of the prom from online shopping, to the outfit itself coming broken. But with needing the excursion of the prom just as much as the next girl, improvisation was her proudest trait for the night. It wasn't just the indigo hair woman that walked into the courtyard leading to the gym, a small white feathered and red fedora on her head.

Her outfit consisted of reds and white mostly. A scarlet blazer that was custom made to hug her form, curving with her bust comfortably, yet snug. The coat finishing off with a long tail that 'primped' up before hanging down near her thigh. The top had white lacing to it, a nice touch in helping the white blouse beneath. So far the costume held here . . .but beneath, the rest was nothing that had been shipped. Instead of the red moth ridden skirt, she had a red, pleated mini skirt on, revealing a little too much of her russet skin than she normally would have been comfortable with. But with the knee high black heels she wore, it wasn't as bad.

She had a little trouble walking in the boots, but she thought it went well . . .rather than the option of her muddied sneakers. (she didn't even wish to mix the school uniform) So, taking a gulp of air, grasping the arm length fake gold staff with red orb at the end, she walk confidently, nearly wobbling, into the Gymnasium as she saw the other prom goers.

And to think, she almost didn't come because of a little costume malfunction. Like that'd stop her.

At first glance it would appear the second boy of the evening had arrived and they'd be pretty close to right if anyone thought that as Lyndsey arrived at the fantasy themed room of the gym in her rather interesting looking prince costume complete with a fencing foil at her side.



The all blue outfit suited her well, even the cloth that was attached to her gloves hanging close to her boots at her back. she smiled as she walked slowly onward glancing about the room and taking a deep breath for herself as she finally approached the refreshment table taking a glass of punch before smelling it. her nose tingled as she recognized the alcoholic nature of the drink smirking slightly.
"So the school is allowing us to learn to drink huh, guess it is a finishing school inside a college after all."

she said to herself in a rather gallant formal tone. she was a talented actress after all. She sipped from her glass like a perfect gentlemen. she stretched slightly and began to walk towards a chair for a seat. Her eyes wandered the room recognizing two people instantly. Ryu and Ishtar were two of her best friends here so far but, for now she'd let them come to her if they really wanted to.

Slowly but surely, a few other 'special guests' were arriving. Only a few of them were not wearing anything or had any kind of shape-shifting abilities, Rahs could tell. Of course, they were the best in costume designing according to the girls around the mercenary. "Oh, but yours in amazing too, ranger," they said. He wasn't really paying much attention to what they said, but he returned to their conversation just in time to smile back and thank them for the compliment.

His hand was tapping slightly the sheathed sword on his hip as they kept talking. His eyes were not only looking at the girls but also glanced around, to see if he could recognize anyone he knew, but didn't have any luck. "If you'll excuse me, young damsels, witch." Rahs asked for permission to have a bite and return but he actually intended to search for more girls. He approached one of the food tables and took a random piece of anything and brought it to his mouth. He had a weird feeling, not only because he was eating in front of many people but also because his tastes in food were different than humans. He could tolerate some foods, but the piece of whatever he took simply tasted horribly for him.

As his head glanced away from the table in response to the horrible taste it had for him, he noticed two girls not so far away talking to each other. One of them was dressed magnificently in a white gown. Her hair appeared silver and was wearing a circlet too. But the two things that caught his attention the most was the toy owl on her shoulder and her height. Almost as tall as Rahs himself, she was towering over a redhead with a black coat and a mini skirt. It was difficult to see who it was, but as he kept looking carefully, the mercenary knew that the redhead was Ryu.

Really unusual to see you like that, Ryu... The disguised syrictae was standing by the table looking at the pair of students talking. It was unusual indeed, to see the redhead with the makeup she had and the very appealing attire she had, along with the attractive tall woman she was talking with.

"Excuse me please, but I guess I have to say hello to my friends now. It was a pleasure to meet you anyway."

The tall Aurora seemed polite, so Ryu guessed it wouldn't hit her hard and hurt her personality or something similar, the redhead bowed slightly before she turned around and walked next to the tables. She shouldn't have done it, but she couldn't deal with new people or rather new friends at such a crowded place and it was about time for her to cut off. Her feet carried her slowly while she tried to look calm enough so others wouldn't focus on her immediately. It didn't take long and she passed one of the students from the other school, he seemed to be rather interested to eat something than to deal with the other girls, just like herself. After a short moment, she stood in front of her friend Lyndsey who drank some of the served punch.

She couldn't explain why, but she thought the male newcomer stared at Aurora and herself while they were talking, maybe he just intended to gather some information but why would someone be interested in something like that? It didn't matter, but if he kept his behaviour to look at her she'd have to talk to him, on the one hand because she disliked it and on the other one because he looked kind of cute. As well as the fact she'd have to deal with male beings sooner or later would force her to speak with someone like him, so it was a chance she'd have to take.

Ryu decided to stand while Lyndsey sat on a chair, offering the student a soft smile due it was always a pleasure for her to meet the unsealed girl. "Hey Blue, cling to the drinks, huh? What's that stuff anyway? Smells like alcohol." She didn't expect something from the student, but due her behaviour it seemed like a fact she'd drink the punch if it smelled interesting. The redhead placed her hands on her hips and bent slightly forward to make sure she'd notice her.

"Oh, Hey there Red. didn't expect you here..."

Lyndsey paused looking over Ryu's costume for a few quiet moments. Truth be told She couldn't believe what the girl was wearing. It seemed so... revealing compared to what she had seen of the girl's clothes and behavior before tonight but, then maybe there was more to her than she thought.

"Or in something like that. I mean where'd you get it, it kinda looks good on you. Even if it's a bit too showy for my taste. do love the choker and the jacket though."

Of course she couldn't help but comment on it, she did at the very least try to be polite about it. She shifted in her seat as she would adjust her foil and her belt a bit on her costume before sipping at the drink and feeling the flavor wash over her tongue. the faint warmth it spread down her throat. she nodded to Ryu.
"And yeah it's alcohol. Oh and what surprises you about me spending my time by the refreshments eh? Not like a girl like me would have a date right?"

The redhead blushed lightly while it seemed like she insulted her, of course it was funny how it turned out but to think clearly about it wasn't her thing. She set up a nervous smile before she straightened her back again, scratching her head a little.
"T-that's not what I meant, really... I mean, I didn't think you wouldn't have a date or something, hehe... Sorry, it's just amusing."

Maybe she won't get it, her sense of humor was quite odd sometimes. Ryu tried to stood rather normal in front of her, her eyes gazed at her costume and couldn't explain why she even wore one. The logical reason seemed to be that it hid most likely the majority of her skin and the fact it suited her quite well, like a student just waiting for a compliment.
"You look like an admiral, Blue. Rather attractive if you ask me, I'd like you to hire me if you're my captain."

Indeed, she looked pretty and kind of cute, but the fact it'd embarass her in a way was attractive as well. She shook her head and glanced at the glass again, what the hell was it anyway?
"Glad you like my costume even if it's kind of unsealed, but I spent so much time to finish it, so it seems like I forced myself to wear it. By the way, I hate to drink stuff I didn't see how it had been mixed, so I am sorry if I won't join you at all, but hey, it's still pretty early."

Rahs noticed that Ryu seemed to walk away from the tall girl with the toy owl so he decided to look away just in time when she glided slowly across the gym, looking a bit calm but the mercenary felt she was pretty nervous. Since she looked like she was heading to meet someone, he let her walk by, taking another bite from the table which fortunately for him was more meat than anything else.

A while passed and the blue haired man looked at Ryu once again. Just like he felt with the redhead, he couldn't quite tell who she was with, but the blue hair and prince costume gave her away. Well well, if it isn't Lyn... She and Ryu seem to know each other, too... Rahs didn't seem to be so discreet that time, staring at how the two girls talked with each other, taking carefully the details of their costumes and silhouettes.

But it really wasn't the best idea to stare so openly at them, and there were also other unknown girls that he had to know first and there was no reason to waste time in admiring someone he already knew she was fun, but with a second thought he knew that he wanted to be with Ryu when the fun began. He shrugged at his thoughts and turned around, the red cape flowing with a mystical aura behind him. He was heading for the table with the punch, just out of Ryu's and Lyn's sight, with the intention of finding someone else, but discovered that there was practically no one there.

Weird, I thought this place would be crowded... Rahs shrugged it off and decided to take a glass, but as he did so, he felt something tugging at his boot. He immediately looked down and saw a small tentacle, surely belonging to a horny monster that seemed very anxious. His blue eyes looked around to see if no one saw the tentacle and then stomped on it. The tendril quickly vanished to the hiding spot and the creature's identity was safe from anyone. Stupid monster, don't dare to ruin this.

A pale young woman approached Rahs. She would have looked like any other student in the room, were it not for the quizzical look on her face and the fact that her deep violet eyes were focused squarely on the spot where the errant tentacle had just been. Disaster was averted, however, when she looked up and pouted at him once she'd gotten close.

"That was rather mean." she said, "Poor things already have to wait down there while we get first choice, you didn't have to stomp on it as well..."

A grin broke out across the young woman's face as she turned to look out over the students and disguised creatures congregating near the edges of the room or spinning about the dance floor, but it wasn't clear weather she'd been teasing or just decided to drop the subject. She wore a long gown of violet so pale it was almost white with a deep purple sash around the waist and trailing down behind her. Rhia dress was strapless, leaving her shoulders and much of her back bare, but was still far more modest than what was being worn by many of the scantily dressed girls that the alien's eyes roamed among. She gazed at the illusion of the blue-haired man next to her; though such a ruse would have irritated her under normal circumstances this "prom" thing seemed to be some sort of special event. She'd been warned that her peers would be in disguise and told she must be as well, or else cower within the hiding spaces with those unable to conceal their nature. A moment later she looked back across the room, her eyes immediately finding the red- and blue-haired girls Rahs had been eyeing.

"You have already chosen?" She asked, though he hadn't said anything to that effect. "She is very lovely, but I quite like the pretty little prince..." the girl said, reaching up to adjust the silver crown that sat atop her head.
